I doubt it since with MLP there was extra autism where bronies tried hard to look like enlightened male feminists yet were fragile enough in their masculinity that they needed to point out how the show referenced star trek or something. MLP being a children's cartoon based on a girl's toyline really kicked it into high gear autism.

Hazbin is more likely to be another tumblr/twitter show or something along those lines.

I think it actually makes a pretty good creation myth for hell tbh.

In the beginning there was a vast empty space into which the fallen angel was cast. Then came the first soul, and it was ground in anger into the first piece of dirt by the "keeper" of the underworld. Countless others were cast into the pit and were crushed into dirt or other prime materia by the long forgotten adversary of the righteous. Eventually they formed the land, then the rings.

The damned arriving grew more numerous everyday, and forged weapons with which to slaughter each other in anger. Their armies and legions so large the prince of darkness himself could not comprehend their size and scope much less intervene to stop.

Hell was thusly not built on fire and brimstone, but the souls of the damned. It is more sinful than those it confines, as it waits endlessly to consume them and grow. It crafts terrifying demons and ravenous hell hounds to accelerate the slaughter ever faster in a vein attempt to satisfy its unending hunger.

Thus came to pass the greatest folly of the most unclean one, for in his rage he crafted the most onerous jailer to his prison. His responsibilities to his domain oppressing him ever more as the hellscape unstoppably grows.

Shame that bit only exists because Viv realized she had to answer what Angel was wondering about with the double-hell line and not something cool like this.

Hazbin appeals to the usual Tumblr, shipping culture that has plagued western animation. It will probably just gain Owl House fans.

MLP was a 4chan thing, and 4chan is not liking this show and is too conservative for it. Meanwhile, the autists who were not part of 4chan already have Bluey as a substitute.

I'm honestly not sure another show can match the same "you had to be there" lightning in a bottle energy FiM had back in the day, bronies had coverage on mainstream news, documentaries, cons, a whole containment board on 4chan. The closest thing I've seen reach it is MAYBE Bluey, but as much as manchildren were trying to justify how it was totally normally watching MLP, I just don't think more people are going to get behind a literal preschool show.

Anime, Sonic and MLP are bad fanbases that can never be created again, at least not under current year rules. They all spawned at a time when the internet was still growing, culture was way less pozzed, and there was a variety of sites that could foster such groups (Tumblr, DeviantArt, forums, 4chan before being extremely mainstreamed in 2016, and even early versions of mainstream sites like FaceBook, YouTube and Twitter).

For MLP specifically, the general culture worked in its favor. 4chan was still the weird shitpost/anime board rather than a right-wing center. Western animation, more specifically CN animation, was on the rise after Adventure Time, to which MLP became a staple of that community alongside PSG. Content for western animation was also more limited so bronies were able to carve out a decent niche when the only options on YT were like PieGuyRulz and Pan.

Nowadays, the western animation YT scene is filled between many old boys and newbies like LS Mark, all the while the actual community is deader than ever. Animation itself is hardly worth caring for, so Hazbin would need to stand without any other success in the industry backing it up. Communities have also just gone from autism to either depressed/broken individuals (Bluey) or the gender special/ Politaspeds (Owl House). They will never be as fun and humorous as early Sonic and MLP.

Wouldn’t be that definitive as to say it cannot make a comeback, but currently, the industry and its followers are a dying breed. It feels weird to say as we clearly have more icons talking about animation, but it’s usually only Tumblr topics (LGBT, Shipping, So Deep episodes…) or Nostalgia baiting. Given how easily trashed shows like The Owl House or Inside Job become, the massive audience seems to be an echo chamber and in no way an indication of reality unlike 2010.

Hollywood and tech need a shakeup at large, and that will likely be when animation makes more of a comeback.

oh for the love of....you know its been YEARS since i read this book by lauire hailse anderson, Twisted. It's not about hell but there is this Computer game the main character plays set in hell that solves this problem easily. and i quote with some paraphrasing.

"You can't die in hell, you just get reincarnated as something weaker and weaker till you're nothing but a worm."

There was that so hard vivzie? You die? you end up in hell. You die in hell? you become weaker and weaker till you're practically nothing that even the lowest ranking of the demons laugh at you.

At least the VAs from the pilot(s) were still able to get their foot in the door and get work elsewhere.
