I wonder if it will be more pointless, gay drama.

Right calling it now, it'll be a lame and gay version of It'll be Alright, painting Stolas as a helpless little baby who's totally depressed and being cruely tortured by Stella, showing how haaard it is for Stolas to be a rich member of hell's royalty who lives in luxury and can fuck any imp he wants. At least half of it will be him thirsting after Blitzo and hating his wife, and Octavia will MAYBE get a few mentions here and there, but she's essentially Schrodinger's owl at this rate, so her even appearing doesn't sound too likely.

OK, now I'm officially pissed off - this is legitimately on the level of the CDC changing the definiton of "vaccine" to push the mRNA gene therapy on the populace. Pilots are indeed meant to be a foundation.....that you don't waver from.

The SpongeBob pilot, for instance. It tells you everything you need to know in 9 concise minutes - SpongeBob is a dopey as hell , yet resourceful manchild, Patrick is his dumb-as-rocks best friend, and he works at the Krusty Krab, with Squidward, his curmudgeonly neighbor, and Mr. Krabs, his money-grubbing boss. AND THAT IS PRECISELY WHAT YOU GOT WHEN YOU TUNED IN TO EVERY EPISODE THEREAFTER.

OK, fair play. How about we take a look at the pilot for an actually serialized show?

Again, it tells you everything you need to know - 4 nations live in harmony, Fire Nation attacks, all-powerful Avatar was lost but now found, he and his newfound friends must stop the Fire Nation before they capture him and use him for their own diabolical ends. And again, THAT IS PRECISELY WHAT WE GOT IN THE ACTUAL SHOW. THERE WAS RELATIONSHIP DRAMA, BUT IT DIDN'T EAT UP THE WHOLE SHOW. IRONICALLY, THE SEQUEL SERIES DID PRECISELY THAT,

AND NOBODY BUT THE MOST TUMBLR-BRAINED PRO-SHIPPERS FUCKING LIKED IT. I WONDER IF THAT SOUNDS FUCKING FAMILIAR, VIVIENNE FUJOSHI MEDRANO.

Arbitrarily deciding what is and isn't cannon is a bold move Viv. Maybe there's a method to the madness but it also looks like she doesn't really know what's she's doing and making it up as she goes (that tends to doom shows that aren't 100% episodic). I don't want it to happen, but all the ingredients for a trashfire are coming together...

You dense motherfuckers! @Vyse Inglebard already pointed out why pilots are important for a show especially if they air on a TV network. If a show decides to drastically change its main synopsis on its second season and loses viewership, it is getting axed.

It's so funny to get done watching other cartoons and looking back at helluva boss and comparing, realizing that even stuff that's rushed, had a rocky production, and have many inconsistencies, still aren't as bad as helluva boss

Uh, no, Viv, that part isn’t obvious. The “alive humans can’t go to Hell” point wasn’t established anywhere in the show.

Could’ve said that the imps casually exposing themselves to a camera at the end should’ve been the obvious point since it contradicted D.H.O.R.K.S trying to prove to the world that demons exist.
