Soo Mike Knowles and daily wire are chiming in on this show and...damn to think I used to regularly listen to these guys. Look I don't like mango milkshake and hazbin is...not for me. I still just barley tolerate helluva. But these guys think vivian created the show specifically to sell Satanism to the masses. I'm legit amazed Knowles did his research and acknowledged that hazbin is an ADULT cartoon. As in they know its not real and won't see the devil or demons as heroes. If walsh gives his two cents on the show it wouldn't surprise me if he thinks it's a kids show at first...or claims kids will watch it anyways cause it was still designed to target them or some bs like that.

And as people in the comments say it's a wonder they praise South park and called it a great conservative show. Yet they don't realize south park has mocked EVERYONE. including conservatives and Republicans in the past.

Daily wire should stick to mocking trannies and sleepy Joe and leave the bitching about woke western animation and the works of vivziepop to us.
"Mr. Shapiro, should we cover the borderline constitutional crisis happening in Texas right now?"
"Nah, let's cover this mid show on Amazon that's depicts Hell as wholesome"

Also I remember hearing someone say adult animation as "not for adults but for teenagers who think what being an adult is like". Awfully apt description I'd say.

not for adults but for teenagers who think what being an adult is like".
Ironically it was animation spergcow mr enter who said that. And really I think that's what the current gen of adults are becoming..gen x was the last generation that (mostly) actually grew up and accepted the reality of being an adult.

Because daily wire know what good entertainment for the family is oh hi chip chilla and Tuttle twins.

chip chilla and Tuttle twins.
I like how the former is literally a rip-off of Bluey and the latter is things kids hardly understand.

And really I think that's what the current gen of adults are becoming..gen x was the last generation that (mostly) actually grew up and accepted the reality of being an adult.
Time will tell what Zoomers and Millennials will turn into.

Watched eps 5 and 6.
The songs are too sudden. Ever watch musicals? There's usually a bit of a warning, a buildup, something. Not here.
The way Lucifer reacted to Charlie calling him was SO very parent of an adult child who has grown distant. There are adults working on this show!
I had hoped to like Mimzy more. Ah well.
Did I see Angel's little sister in heaven? I think I might've.
How did Charlie not know what Vaggie was? It seems weird but whatever.
I still like Nifty.

Back again with thoughts on the new not-leaked episodes 3 & 4 before I'm too tainted by other people's opinions:
  • I barely use Prime Video to know how it works, but it doesn't appear to me that Amazon has high hopes for Hazbin when I can't find it anywhere in the menu unless I explicitly text-search for it.
  • I'm very much glad that Sir Pent still has some edge as a mad scientist. While I like his adorable side the same as everyone else, I would've been disappointed if that's all he was for the rest of the show. And hurray for the Egg Boiz getting to stay too, putting my previous fear to rest.
  • I find myself getting used to Vaggie's new voice, though sometimes with the audio low it sounds like Charlie is calling her "faggie".
  • As someone else said, the start of that first song is very startling.
  • The second song just makes me dwell on the softening of Hell as we now have overlords getting fashioned to be downright admirable. At least Alastor still appears nefarious.
  • What's up with Carmilla having daughters with her in Hell? Are they damned sinners too, or hellborn?
  • Good God, how many characters are there with a sharp gold tooth?
  • Oncoming gay ship besides, I hate this Husk as a smooth-talking sassy wiseman compared to the pilot's gravely-voiced disgruntled alcoholic. Now that he's talking much more, his Keith David voice is really distracting to me.
  • Good work at establishing Val as a particularly imposing piece of shit, making up for his underwhelming introduction before.
  • In light of the recent criticism Viv has been embroiled with, the whole visual accompaniment to the Poison song sure comes off as "sexy rape" to me. I expect those who originally complained about the short clip will now be a lot more pissed.
  • There certainly is a bizarre attempt at equivocating Husk's plight with Angel's. Not only do we have no indication about what's been bad for Husk being in debt to Alastor, but there's also the point that Husk has likely been free of Alastor for seven years of absence.
  • Now with a proper fight scene, it's really plain to see how the animation is lacking compared to Helluva.
  • I wonder what has Amazon in a hurry to premiere multiple episodes each week yet not just release the whole season at once.
  • I remain indifferent overall, though perhaps I'm ruining my own experience with the show by being overly analytical for the sake of discussion here rather than just watching for entertainment.
Continuing with leaked episodes 5 & 6:
  • Lucifer's precious sadboi characterization blows, and it's bizarre that the king of Hell appears to be all by himself, but at least this gives good reason why everyone has been so confident to disregard Charlie and push her around. He seems totally outclassed by Helluva's aristocratic bird demons.
  • While I've liked Alastor before and have always preferred that he be Charlie's moral antagonist with ulterior motives, he's getting to be grating with all of this flexing at the expense of other supposedly-powerful characters, whether it be Lucifer or fellow overlords.
  • I continue to be entertained by Adam and his antics, perhaps even making him my favorite character over the likes of Sir Pent and Niffty, though I am disappointed that my idea of him being a hired sinner is now impossible.
  • I share everyone else's complaint about pacing that these latest two episodes highlight, but with added emphasis on how more characters are still getting haphazardly shoved in. Mimzy doesn't need to exist, and honestly neither does Cherri despite her being a well-liked pilot character. Lucifer, Sera, and Emily feel like they're rushing through their character arcs within minutes when we just got introduced to them. Thinking back, it seems that Val is the only one of the Vees with prominence when they all could've been the main antagonists for the entire season instead of dealing with this Heaven conflict right away, and Carmilla and Zestial are going to waste too when they had a whole episode with two songs to make them look important. We still got Rosie/Lilith to go as well.
  • While it's not the worst case of "Heaven is bad", I don't think it's that much better to say its inhabitants are so clueless and suspect that they have no idea what qualifies for entry to Heaven and all just shrug over Adam's foul general behavior. It's one thing if Viv wanted to avoid getting into the weeds of theological disagreements over this very matter, but considering everything we've seen so far in her soft version of Hell across two shows, I imagine it's much more likely that Viv's arguing that Christians in general are condescending meanies with unjust, unrealistic, or hypocritical moral standards. Given her tone in opposition to Adam, I don't know if Charlie's "drink with friends" remark is suppose to be taken as her struggling to explain Angel giving in to self-destructive vices, or an honest moral argument we're supposed to agree with her on.
  • Charlie's prepared argument with dictionary definitions is a good bit.
  • I'd like to highlight with amusement that the show makes a joke out of Sir Pent getting raped.
  • It's quite surprising that we're already with only two episodes remaining, done in a week.

To follow up my earlier post, I made, and touch up on one point.

With the whole story of creation this show is going with and the fact Adam came up with the exterminations to stop a supposed Hell uprising. I have a hunch it's going to be revealed Adam did it because he's a sex-crazed incel who wants to kill Lilith for rejecting him for Lucifer. The fact he was the one who named Vaggie after "Vaginas" pretty much adds it up.

Now while its good that Viv didn't go full Heaven bad, she basically made Heaven monumentally retarded for glossing over Adam's behavior.

Pretty much everyone's complaints mirrors mine, but I'd like to point out how funny it is that Vaggie gets axed and Charlie immediately looks after her when she's leaning against a dumpster, out of all the homeless and suffering individuals she's seen in Hell, it was THIS PERSON that she decided to take aid in.
No buildup, no time progression over Vaggie's struggle in Hell, they couldn't even fucking bother to redesign Charlie to look younger or wear different clothing when she found her. They absolutely must have had NO FAITH that this show would get a second season if they're bottlenecking as much shit as they could into the very end.

Doesn't excuse the symbolism in making the literal original man a jerkass dude bro possibly an incell seething over lillith as you said. Which makes no sense if the first man was an incell there would be no humans at all for heaven/hell to fight over. At least turn someone like able or a lesser known book of genesis figure into your symbol of man hate...granted a good chunk of the book of genesis aside the creation, Cain and able, an story of Noah's ark is basically "and this guy begot this son and that son had a son of his own and his son lived to be 800 or so (somehow) and then he died." But cone on Viv.

Noah became a sauced up deadbeat after the whole ark debacle, lot offered his kids up to the faggots of Sodom in exchange for not fucking the angels staying with him, there's plenty of people in the Bible who aren't the so called holier than us symbols religion tends to show them as.

Did I skip a season? Vaggie is introduced as Charlie's gf without any buildup. These people who barely interact with eachother are a couple now? Really feels like we are missing the lives of the MAIN CHARACTERS to watch whatever is going on...
The theory about rushing everything to get axed after 1st season is fucking real.
Vivzie, you real piece of shit, you are fucked up entirely.

I kind of like Heaven as being so idyllic that no one ever thinks twice about hell. So the purges being to help keep the amount of sinners from overflowing, since Mortal Souls are stuck on pride and can't go to the other rings for some reason, thus they'd overflow up into the mortal world, makes a bit of sense. But I do wonder if Vizie's ceral box summery of gnostism included that other angels went to hell with Lucifer. Even Helltaker knew about Azazel, and that popped off after the pilot. But I suppose it didn't have enough Yaoi for Vizie to notice

I feel like this was brought up earlier, but Cain would definitely have fit the role of Adam. He was portrayed as a spiteful and jealous person, even killing his own brother because of it. You could argue that he would have ended up in Hell, but maybe because this was Adam's son, God (or whoever rules this version Heaven) allowed him up in Heaven cause He had a soft spot for Adam. Or maybe Cain changed his ways after he committed that sin and became a better person, and that's why he's up in Heaven. If we're referring to the Bible, Paul/Saul is most likely up in Heaven, and he mass murdered a bunch of people before he started following God.

This does bring up a good point in what exactly allows a person to go to Heaven. Since we're not going off with just "believing in God", it would appear to be you just have to be good to get up to Heaven, but I think it's a bit more complicated than that. I feel like it's less about doing good things, and more in being a good genuine person who doesn't expect anything is return. And even if you were a terrible person in the beginning, as long as you repented for your ways and became a good person afterwards, you would still go up to Heaven.

Now, you might say 'isn't Angel Dust doing exactly that in episode 6?' Well, I would like to counter argue that. First, we have no idea if Angel is repentful and trying to be a better person. We get no buildup to that, and are just expected to accept the fact he is making progress. Second, he is still engaging in sin due to the fact he is drinking tons of alcohol and still participates in gratuitous sex. But if you don't agree on that, then let's bring up something Adam brought up way in the beginning of the show. They got their chance on Earth to be good, and this is their punishment for not doing so. They had many chances and now they have to suffer the consequences.

But what do I know. I'm sure there's some other convoluted reason for it all and we're all just idiotic to not see that.

I'd like to highlight with amusement that the show makes a joke out of Sir Pent getting raped.
I hope that gets brought up on X just to see Vivzie give another lecture on how she empathize with sexual assault victims.

Is Emily suppose to be Sera's daughter or are they meant to be a couple? I would not be surprised if it's the latter since that be another middle finger to Christians by saying, "See? Heaven has queers too!"

In another example of how the worldbuilding sucks, has it been confirmed if sinner demons can reproduce once they're in Hell like how HB showed native-born demon can? We saw that Carmilla has (twin?) daughters but we don't know if she had when she was alive (perhaps all three died together in some way) or did she have them as an Overlord.

Finally, was it just me or did it seem like the flashback of Lucifer and Charlie used similar animation from the first flashback of Stolas and Octavia?
