Eh, I have my own stories I'm working on, including a comedy of the seven deadly sinsas humans, so essentially writing fanfiction of either Hazbin Hotel or Helluva Boss is least priority of my list.

HB could have been saved with a simple but strictly enforced rule that at least every other show had to be primarily about the show's hook, that is, assassination for hire in the overworld. Obviously the show was going to have lots of gay content, and personally I'm fine with that. It's the LACK of the content that was the hook for the show that is my issue.

To me, it’s where it’s treated as if it’s any other relationship. Not made overly toxic or overly UwU gae bois.

Stolitzo was different cuz instead of the normal fujoshi garbage, both of them were toxic pieces of shit that were taking advantage of each other for different reasons.

I hate to go there, but I think Brokeback Mountain, memes aside, was a really good presentation of a gay relationship that could be appreciated by entirely straight people. This was largely because the protagonists were actual people, not just homos with no other personality, and it presented issues relevant to society at large, not just LGB issues.

I think this is an old email since it mentions to "gear up for the finale". I can't believe that it's been this long though since the latest update on them. How hard is it to make a paper program? They should at least give people a new update if they're still not ready. Not go radio silent.

What's funny is there are a bazillion ways the original concept could have worked if Vivz just Made A Fucking Outline™ instead of trying to pants it. She tripped over a litany of hooks for real depth and fleshing out many relevant themes, but she didn't have any themes! She just had a concept from the perspective of a character designer and animator. Between the lack of any writers to tell her "that's retarded, do this" and lack of any space after A24/Amazon chopped it up into Zoomer brain rot, there wasn't any hope of competent execution.

To wit:
  • She set up Charlie to rebel against her dad, who rebelled against heaven. Instead, Lucifer's just a stupid shutin depressed faggot who plays with rubber ducks, and they made up in moments for reasons.
  • Alastor broke character the second he saw Lucifer instead of there being any buildup or comedy so the broken character moment was actually funny. He was said to be scary, but shown to be a paper thin gary stu for Vivz to wear out hitachis to.
  • She set up alienation between Charlie and her mother, which was just abandoned until "zomg Lilith is hanging out ~in heaven!!!~" despite being a hook for a lot of character building and a window into Charlie's past and perhaps how she and her dad fell out.
  • Extermination wasn't even scary. It was just some stupid thing. Hell isn't even really scary, it's just LA. So it's a bit scary but you can't die anymore except for the yearly stupid thing.
  • Charlie finally flipped out while dressed like a teenage girl who went to Spencer's or Hot Topic to dress up and take pictures for her MySpace, and throwing glitter around. Apparently nobility in hell is the Disney kind, not the real kind where you're taught to look for daggers heading for your back, how to act stupid, how to actually be smart, how to lie, and how to fight.
  • Vaggie should be HATED and known to be an angel. Instead she's just seen as (or accidentally is?) some queerbaited chick with an eye patch by Hell's own pillow? Princess. So, the name actually fits. Lol.
  • There's ZERO commoner (or hated enemy) tension with literal royalty. Vaggie should be groveling and Visibly Too Nice, at least at the start, given a fallen exterminator would be beaten or raped to a pulp over and over in a real hell, and Charlie saved her from that. Instead they're just bed-dead U-Hell lesbians. The evolution of terrified enemy to someone treated well by the last person she'd suspect to show kindness could have been interesting, but, Vivz.
  • Charlie's past as someone shat on for being "angelic" in the sense of kindness like Emily, and treated like crap by people in Hell as she grew up is just not present, there isn't even a hint of it, just "lol nobody cares."
  • Angel's shit with being a degenerate was entirely glossed over. Drug withdrawals, CPTSD flashbacks from being raped by Val? NOTHING. No late nights, no crawling up the walls, no flipouts. Nothing. He even got robbed of having any kind of catharsis toward Val who is STILL turning him out even after he got cleaned up.
  • Charlie almost got mad enough to kick Val's ass but for some reason just let a dead faggot bully her, despite not really giving a shit about "the way things are", openly trying to change things in heaven and hell, and being a literal fucking noble. She then later went toe to toe with Adam despite acting like a teenager wearing the full Sailor Moon Fashion Battle Set™, so she could have clearly clam slammed Valentino into a macaroon shaped depression on the floor.
  • Angeldust saying something really funny in the aftermath of that is something we'll never hear, either.
  • There's a literal Indian Radio Princess involved in the second world War, who later reitred to Spain and ran a bar. Vivz likely didn't bother googling enough to realize this to make a single reference to three of her major characters being indian, a radio whatever, and a princess, and then there's Husk with the bar, etc.
  • No hellborn/sinner friction to speak of seems to be present, or it's that forgettable.
  • The Overlords aren't developed at fucking all to be anything but a pile of characters. It's like the villains in their spandex in that skull in a swamp, but dumber, and mostly unfunny.
  • The butt monkey stole the show since Vivz pantsed things and didn't plan anything so her stars were just kind of there while the stupid snake who wasn't even voiced by stamper goes to heaven.
  • Emily is just cool ranch Charlie.
  • Heaven sucks since it looks like a shopping center in Salt Lake city
  • I'm still mad the fucking Devil wasn't a smart, savvy person who also had a REAL edge, and then called people stupid faggots anyway once they were already mad. The closest to that we got was the MLP style clowning on Adam.
  • Nifty needs to stab more people in the back.
  • Rosie is clearly capable of leadership and smoothing over deathless sinner drama, but many of the other overlords just run everything as incompetently as discord trannies could moderate a debate.
  • That one Spanish big handed lady whose name I forgot, the weapons dealer with two daughters that are clones of Charlie and Vaggie, doesn't act scary at all. Also, how do the damned have kids, again?
