Queen Bee is pretty fucking awful herself. She runs massive pounds where infinite numbers of hellhound puppies are dumped and traumatised, and as soon as they age out, she invites them to her hive, gets them wasted, uses them to make her Beezeljuice, and when they're drugged out of their brains, they mindlessly make more litters of puppies for her to exploit all over again. Queen Bee is just as much of a monster as the other sins. She just has a good singing voice and stage presence.

In the Queen Bee episode, you're introduced to her through Loona's eyes, and Loona quite accurately sees Queen Bee as a showy manipulator of addicts and gluttons. Loona almost breaks the cycle but is then drawn right back into it by Blitzo (underscoring yet again that Blitzo is BoJack Horseman with ADHD and horns.)

This isn't sophisticated or complicated shit. Queen Bee and her orgies are introduced through Loona's eyes for a reason.

If Bee is meant to be "just as a monster as the other sins" then she faked it too well because the entire fandom collectively agrees she is the coolest nice party gal around.

And i know Kesha is not a voice actor but i dont think she was informed either cause she tried to sound genuine and not manipulative. At least ozzy had a certain edge/poison back then, like his VA was explicitly told his character isnt a good person.

Not saying i disagree, what you said make a lot of sense, but if it's the case then Vivzie was too subtle for her own good. Everyone thinks there are 3 good sins and 1 bad sin, because only 1 of them is portrayed as an actual bad person onscreen.

Mammon is the only sin who is open and honest about being a scumbag. The rest are raging hypocrites.

Ozzie only began to be uncomfortable with mass producing Fizzaroli sex toys when they hooked up. He's quite happy to exploit people in every possible way unless he has a particular attachment someone... then he gets so obsessive that he tries to stop them from leaving his palace and socialising with individuals that he doesn't personally control. When he casually threatened to massacre a couple dozen of his employees if they dared to gossip about him, they shit themselves. Weird, right? If they were his minions then they'd surely realise that he was joking, but instead they pissed themselves and legged it, almost like they knew for a fact that it wasn't a joke and Ozzie really would flay them alive.

All of the sins are awful. Lucifer, the cute one, designed Hell to be an elaborate circus (he even wears a ringmaster's outfit) yet the only ring that actually has sinners is the pride ring. The entirety of Hell is an elaborate conceit that he got bored of and abandoned, and every layer is full of suffering, even though the sinners are restricted to one ring. He is absolutely paralysed by ennui, just like the privileged rich cunt that he is.

All of the sins are awful individuals. Sure, a couple of them are very charming and sociable... but so are many psychopaths.

I heard that this was a highly controversial video for the rabid Stolitz shippers. I wonder if they carefully analyzed the video and gave valid counterarguments or if they went full-out tard rage on twitter because someone questioned their "beloved" ship.
Watching through it, and it pretty much points out the power imbalance and how Stolas has more power and talks about how toxic he acts. I feel the fans are raging that someone is poking holes in the ship and ironically the video maker used a tweet from Vivzie herself that agrees with the sentiment even if it is half gibberish

Remember, relationships that are horrifically toxic and abusive and where the creator would be instantly cancelled for doing it with a male abuser and a female victim are totally a-okay if the abuser and abused are fags.

Shockingly informative.

Also, Stella did nothing wrong. He should admit that.

But that would mean 90% of his audience throw pitchforks at him. As I previously said, hardly anyone wants to publicly defend Stella. It's not worth it, no matter how bad you'd want to bring it up.

Looking at the comments, it's a mix between people mildly letting out their hatred for Stolitz and mostly people doing the worst acts of mental gymnastics because they dare wish to not think about Stolitz not being a fitting relationship at all. They want to believe they'll get together. They know what Sarcastic Chorus brought up in the video brought some merit of truth and they're still looping themselves into a feedback of hoping these "two trouble traumatized gay boys" finally get together after sloppily settling their differences via Viv's writing room.

But I'm glad to know I saw a good number of comments that were calling out how much the show butchered Stolas and how he's not growing, not even a single bit. I just hope Chorus didn't get too flamed for his opinion on an already "touchy" matter for the Stolitz fans.

I think these comment threads says it best.

People need to understand just because Vivzie brings it up doesn't suddenly dilute everything wrong about Stolas' character. It's not an excuse nor should it be treated as such. Yes, it was shown during the dumb dual-musical segment where he lost it when he realized he was out of his anxiety meds, and it could be an explanation why he was so irrational when it came to confronting Blitzo about the book. But there was no real buildup and all we got was an emotionally unwell rich boy losing it because Blitzo wasn't buying his words. He should know Blitzo by now, no? But again, he knows Blitzo as much as Blitzo knows him. So these two were doomed from the very start with this whole situation. They both suck at handling it because they never took one time to actually talk. Blitzo obviously didn't think about since he knew from the start it was just sexual. Stolas, however, should've began the talking. But he didn't.

He didn't and look where it got him. Blitzo is far from the wrong in this scenario. How was he suppose to know? It's not both on them, it's on Stolas. He's the privileged dude. He should've thought about a way to talk and not wait until someone shakes him violently to remember he has more personalities than just being emotionally dysfunctional and excessively horny.

This makes me miffed, man. Her fans'll just treat everything she says as gospel and add nothing else to it. I don't care if he's in his "own head and fees". Doesn't justify squat for the dumb scene. Vivziepop is gaslighting these people as hard as she can, man. And if we know from the S2:E12 leak, while it's expected Stolas will get some punishment, but why this long? Why this long for him to actually have the "ultimate consequence"? And as usual, he doesn't worry about the consequences until someone slaps him with a metal brick that he'll recover from the next episode or two. He's definitely in his own head, but not in the way Vivzie wants to imagine it.

The last comment makes a point. We shouldn't be all the way in S2:E8 with writing and characters this abhorrent and backwards. Don't want your show relentlessly criticized? Then you shouldn't have retconned the mess out of season two and made things flow better. They had lots of time "to cook" and they burnt the entire building and the microbes. They burnt the old Stolas and we all have is one with no real direction and development.

Oh i get it, but i also feel like you're giving Vivzie too much credit cause i doubt she put that much thought there and anyone who looks like an hypocrite is by accident.

Lucifer specially since the only reason he dresses like a ringmaster is because ALL sins are "circus themed", even Bee who represents "animal shows" and jumps through a ring in her music video. I'm sure vivzie idea for Lucifer isnt an arrogant bored sociopath but a funny/depressed/autistic tumblr sexyman.

I'm watching and it's fairly self aware. The man is clearly pro-stolitz but he sounds like one of those people who hate problematic stuff so he will rightfully callout Stolas. I like the part where he'll point out Stolas will squeeze his butler and throw the food on the floor so he's not that much better than Stella (wow). He also says Stella is abusive (boo) but it was not her fault that Stolas "shut down" (yay).

Still, i think shippers will draw what they want to draw from this video. It starts with SC saying Stolas is bad with communication due to his upbringing in royal family and not understanding imp struggles and many comments are simply "Ah yes, Stolas is just a bad talking thats the only issue" and ignores the part where SC says Stolas is the only person did everything wrong here cause he holds absolute power on this relationship, manipulated blitzo and got mad when he didnt get love back. If someone wants to be upset they'll insult SC and say Stolas had a hard life so it's ok.

>"I feel like parts of the fandom infantilize and make Stolas to be this perfect tragic woobie, when he's a grown man in hid mid 30s"

I know bro. You did too so you're part of the problem lol.

The show is retarded but it's actually genius but it's actually retarded but it's actually genius, but it's actually retarded but it's actually genius but it's actually retarded.
That's why I can't look away no matter how much shit I talk about it. Everything that's clever and interesting about this show, its characters, and its world is done purely on accident, and the contrast in depth between the intentional and unintentional is big enough to make it even more interesting.

Reminds me of that one scene from TFS's DBZ, how Vegeta reacts to the backstory of why Broly is so powerful.

"But that's really dumb...b-but he's so cool...BUT THAT'S SO DUMB!"

Yep, dude was one of the many youtubers who was gassing up the relationship at its peak and now he's dug his own hole. You've dug your own grave, Chorus, and knowing the community, it's gonna be a real hard one to escape out of. I feel he knew the relationship had flaws early on but probably didn't want to bring it up beforehand. But he waits well until S2:E8 to realize "Wait a second, Stolas is a man in his mid-30s having a mental breakdown because he ain't having his Happy Pills and having his imp slave around. He's royalty who has absolute power to this relationship and he's handling it like a toddler who didn't get to continue playing with their toys. This relationship is a lot stupider than I thought, what was I thinking??"

You waited too late to change your mind, my guy, 3-4 years too late.

I feel dude's this close to breaking through that pro-Stolitz shell because he's clearly bringing up the flaws and actually is scolding Stolas' actions and letting the audience know how nonsensical this relationship is without explicitly going "This ship is nonsense!". But I'm being too optimistic here. Like all the others, he'll clearly see the flaws but still go "But these two are still meant for each other, you guys... I'm just, uh, I'm just simply saying they're a bit flawed then and there but... I still ship it!" over and over again.

I dont think he "changed his mind" per se, i watched his helluva boss ship tier list and the man is just like a previous poster described, he has a clear bias towards "problematic", angsty, rival, yaoi ships and thinks any ship without conflict is boring and has no appeal. He says in the end he still ships Stolitz because they're his gay disasters or something.

And i feel that, ironically, this is the only reason he's calling out Stolas now. I get this semiautistic aura that SC doesnt hate Stolas getting woobified cause bad writing, but because it makes his toxic yaoi BORING. He spends most of the video saying Stolas is a real deep and flawed individual whose actions make sense and he's intended to be a hypocrite, then a good chunk deflecting excuses that Stolas is blameless. Afterall, if Stolas is blameless, he's shallow.

I also sense a reviewer part of him genuinely believe Stolitz is peak writing and hates how vivzie victimizes Stolas. Even in his video where he said Stella wasnt retconed, he admits her being evil is very dissappointing since... it removes all nuance from Stolas cheating.

Like, he wants to defend Stolas but not at the cost of making him look badly written. He'll admit Stolas is wrong but only to push the idea that he's just THAT complex and flawed and will suuuurely go through epic character development later on.

It kind of is, though, not because he's toxic but because like every other character in the show, he's been Flanderized beyond recognition. At least early on, and even through the first season, he showed signs of having a little more depth but now he's just reduced to a total yaoi stereotype.

We're at the point where Stella has more depth, a character literally created to be a one dimensional villain who apparently hates Stolas just because she's evil, even though there are plenty of actually good reasons to hate him.
