Where are people getting the information that merchandise sales for HB are declining?
the merch sales have started to last longer. if I'm not wrong when they had the valentine's day merch there was a lot of christmas/Halloween stuff left

plus they are way more frequent now (maybe SP is having trouble with funding. With Viv spending all the money in Broadway stars she doesn't need instead of paying her employees it's not a surprise)

It still doesn't make sense to me, though. What if Stolas wasn't attractive to the fandom? What if he was a disgusting looking rich Goetia? It's the only reason people are defending someone who literally doesn't have to do anything else other than use the book once a month. A Goetia that Vivziepop gaslighted into being the oppressed and the literal marginalized the oppressor. Their minds would've absolutely changed if Stolas wasn't this attractive gay owl boye in the fandom and he was your usual grotesque or average looking rich dude.
This has always been the case and many fandoms have examples, especially harry potter. You'll rarely someone defend or ship peter petigrew who is canonically ugly but every death eater with a handsome actor has dedicated shipper squad, and those without actors get fancasted by tiktokers and twisted into yaoi OCs.

Heck, even within Stolitz, shippers are more prone to take Stolas side as he's the "fragile handsome twink".
Imagine having Blitz sell his own body once a month to a rich old creepy monarch. And if he doesn't, his entire livelihood will be taken away.

Don't think the shippers would be so gung ho about this 'transactional relationship' now.

Damn that's a much better design actually.

I just had a thought: if the majority of the populace of Hell was ugly to look at or at the very least mild/uninteresting (yet had peculiar or very definitive designs that you knew who is who), you would perhaps have just people having a hard time to cheer for them in their actions. Yet the "yaoi/fujoshi" factor does help.

Hard to put this in proper words, I guess. I feel like the best example is with the VerbalAse conundrum - he probably liked Charlie's design as well as her personality and was willing to spend $50K on an animation.

Basically, this is the core principle of the Stolitz ship:

If you're "conventionally attractive," you can get away with anything.

I theorize this show is not long for this world DEI money is starting to dry up so unless they had a pre arranged contract/political bankrolling (probably the only reason the boys is getting more seasons) the only appeal is the musical numbers from what I can see the jokes are shit and the dialogue feels like a 3rd grader who learned to swear. more than likely they'll just break down and make a musical to rap it up and call it unless I'm just underestimating the power of the niggercattle that are the vizzie fanbase and smelly unwashed fujos

The thing is, imp twunk selling his body to an ugly creepy fat owl monarch sounds like a plot Brandon Rogers would totally write. I think Viv's fujo brain really did just change it into Webtoon-tier toxic yaoi.

I've said Helluva will likely end in a rushed Season 3. As for Hazbin, at least we'll get a heavily rushed Season 2 that haphazardly wraps everything up. At most we will get a Season 3 akin to the Owl House where every episode will be an hour long but only 3 episodes.

Either way, Viv is not going get her planned six seasons and a movie for Hazbin.

I can't even imagine how tf does she believe Hazbin's story can be streched out for 6 seasons.

If it sticked to his original premise of character driven show about redemption then maybe, but it's Season 1 and heaven has been introduced, proven wrong and defeated.

What is Season 2 even gonna be about?? Is Emily going to be on Charlie's side?? Then what?? They fight Heaven again?? The Vees (aka Val and Vox because Viv doesn't care about women) are supposedly going to try to take over, then it's the same as Season 1 but they have to fight the Vees??

I posted this in the thread before, but we already know the jest of season 2 thanks to Emily's VA posting a picture of the script, basically Emily shows up at some televised news conference with Charlie, explains how Heaven is now on board with the whole redemption plan, but Vox hijacks the signal and hypnotizes everyone watching. (Second image is very long even as a thumbnail)

It's laughable, since given that Lucifer is now directly involved with the Hotel, and Heaven is now greenlighting Charlie's plan unless Emily is talking out of line, in a decently written story Vox should have about ten seconds before a very pissed off Lucifer shows up at his tower after he does this. The Vees even watched Lucifer utterly trounce Adam even as Lucifer wasn't taking him at all seriously.

Uh, wait - a TV machineman hijacks things and is "strong enough" to both Heaven and Hell as enemies again? Is that it? Because it seems like a subversion that isn't too planned. Are there subtle hints of Vox being that powerful, that he would do great things - and hijack such transmission? Or is it "sUbVeRt ExPeCtAtIoNs" for the sake of subverting them? Since ASOIAF/GoT was mentioned here - we know how the later seasons panned out, compared to GRRM's careful planning of how the subtle hints of the Red Wedding was supposed to go.

Also, I was recently at the gym and I decided to think more about the movie "plan", in case people here are interested at my personal idea. Be advised that I never watched the show so it's be complete fanfiction if that's fine, lol.

it's really stupid. in general having Lucifer around makes every situation with a villain have less stakes because he is, you know, the devil. but this is so easily solvable ks almost funny

defeating Heaven in Season 1 also makes the Vees seem even less threatening, they're not even killing people, they just want control of hell. If the TV signal stops working then Vox (the only one without real power) is done, and I imagine it's not that hard to achieve.

Now I have even more questions because if they get a Season 3, what's gonna be about? Heaven is defeated, they have proof redemption works, the Vees are also defeated. I guess they still have Eve and Root who is ultimately the final villain, but if they resolve all that in a 8 episode season is going to be really underwhelming

>Adam isn't coming back

You just know Viz is going to show Heaven throwing a party over Adam being dead and gone. Just full on "No one liked him anyway, now stop thinking about how Lucifer fucked him over from start to finish!*" like an army worth of angels wouldn't be cause for alarm among the Winners and Heavenborn. And to say nothing of the Exorcists, they will be shown as unreasonable and bigoted towards poor widdle Sir Pentious like he dindu nuffin' to earn his place in Hell.

*Seriously, this kind of shit wouldn't be out of place in the tragic backstory of some comic about an anti-hero seeking revenge.

Season 2 sounds like the main antagonists would be the Vee's with Lilith showing up at some times to be a bigger threat in season 3. And then in season 3 it's revealed that the Lilith we've seen is actually Eve all along, and then season 4 is the whole Eve and Roo stuff. I have no idea what season 5 and 6 could be about. I know that season 1 was only eight episodes, and if each season has the same amount of episodes, it's rather short. But the show likes to speed run through their plot lines because we can't let these characters get any actual development.

Also, I'm not sure why Heaven would be cool with redemption now. I know Sir Pentious got redeemed and all, but a lot of exorcist angels got murdered by angelic weapons that have been left and mass produced in Hell. A rise-up from Hell to overthrow Heaven is more likely to happen now than ever before.

With the whole Lucifer thing, Vivzie would either have to make him job really hard or find a way to write him out whether he’s busy with something else or for some reason not help out.
I just want someone to beat him silly like Senator Armstrong did with Raiden. Imagine the spectacle of Michael coming down from Heaven, bellowing Lucifer's name in Fury (the capital F is necessary) like a slightly saner Pelinal Whitestrake, and proceeding to beat Lucifer senseless like he's the final boss from Azura's Wrath.
then season 4 is the whole Eve and Roo stuff
Fucking hell, imagine what Adam and Roo/Eve would've been like. Maybe she'd have been abusive to Adam, maybe he'd have found her his "still hot babe", literally anything but what Viz would end up writing. Goddamn, that one author on ao3 might have an edgy name, but he started the whole Adam/Roo thing.
