I'm not at all surprised S3 was greenlit, but a fourth season being greenlit at least a year before S2 premiers is definitely a shock.
Probably a deal where Season 3 and 4 are produced at the same time so its really season 3 split into two halves.

That or Hazbin exceeded Amazon's expectations.

Got any links?
Hell isn't even Lucifer's 'house' it's his prison. That line would make more sense from Lilith who actually likes Hell more (supposedly from the intro).
Keep in mind this exact situation doesn't occur. It's more a in the spirit kind of thing:
Abaddon (Adam's soul ends up in the Void where all exorcised Sinners go, he rallies them with visions of Eden, and emerges from Hell to avenge his Exorcists and then kick Lucifer's ass.)
A Father's Wrath (HH Adam's soul calls out for someone, anyone to avenge the wrongs done to him by Lucifer, the soul of Adam from Records of Ragnarok answers. Lucifer gets beaten silly to the point where he begs God to save him.)
The Imprisoned Genocide (Adam ends up becoming a Sinner after his death, but not weakened or anything. Instead he keeps killing Sinners. The plot is about Charlie trying to convince him to cease the killings and join the Hotel. The ending implies that he will make another go at Lucifer and this time kill him.)

EDIT: And since you mentioned the whole "Hell is Lucifer's and Lilith's prison" thing, there's a fic that lampshades that.
Root of Love (Roo saves Adam's soul from being unmade (and those of his Exorcists too, for that matter) and tries to court him. She also mentions that she intends to make it clear to the Big Ls that she's not their anything. Adam finds how dangerous she is hot.)

Not really that surprised. As I mentioned earlier in the thread, Hazbin Hotel was their most watched animated show when it came out, so of course they're going to milk it for all it's worth.

Now the real question is, will it last to get that season 3 and 4? Depending on how well season 2 will do will determine if season 3 and 4 will proceed. Now depending on the contract that was signed, maybe A24 would continue the show on a different streaming service if Amazon decides it's not worth to continue, but who knows if other streaming services would it want it at that point.

Now season 2 for Hazbin Hotel will probably come out between late 2025 and 2026, depending on how production goes. Will the hype Hazbin Hotel has currently last to when season 2 comes out? Or will it dwindle in viewership like Helluva Boss?

I think it depends if Viv goes off the rails and make the show focused on unrelated shit like a gay ship and go into melodrama.

Helluva Boss' drop off in viewers is primarily because the show became less of a comedy and more into the Stolas and Blitzo sad sessions.

Damn, thanks for the links. The fanfictions being more careful to the source material than the own creators, this is just sad...

I'd say probably. It's more likely at this point that if it doesn't, it's because SH implodes from internal drama than that it actually gets cancelled.

The fanfics are written by people who actually cared about the premise before the fujoshits took over, though this probably applies to the fujoshi fanfic writers too.

A scrapped character from earlier drafts of the show. Can probably be compared with Dr. Gaster, though.
Basically, our new Sir Pentious...who is voiced by Richard Horvitz.

Listen, I love Richard Horvitz as much as the next guy, but did he have to voice Baxter? Is this just a given; he has to play every short, nerdy guy? You couldn't find another Broadway star Viv, like with every main character you replaced with?

Casting of convenience. Horvitz is already on staff, so of course you're going to economize your resources. It's the same reason they got Rogers to do Katie Killjoy.
