But after getting all these Broadway actors for Helluva Boss, especially replacing Brock with one, Viv decided to make Hazbin a full fledged musical and have all the characters sing, regardless how little the songs made sense or matter, as that's apparently more important than telling a coherent story.

Viv very much wanted Hazbin to be a musical show. It was always her dream to get Broadway actors and/or people with some singing talent to voice her characters. Her voice claims for these characters were always with someone who sang, and she was always animating songs and musical numbers with her characters. I'm just surprised she didn't get anyone who had experience with *writing* musical numbers. Instead, she had someone who wrote fan songs, and another that wrote songs for pre-teen Jojo Siwa.

Her talking about how she was able to bring so many people who worked on the pilot onto the actual show is so ironically funny. None of the writers besides Viv herself were brought on to the show, so I'd argue that the show doesn't have the same spirit as the original.

Only Charlie and Alastor required singing talent

And they got a separate voice actor for both of them for the singing. They could have done that for the other characters as well.

It's really interesting as I remember her drawing fanart of YMS and his horse furry thing. I can't seem to find it. On streams he even said they were friends and they talk, can't imagine what these two weirdos talk about, as they both have a zookink.

I think i mentioned here a reviewer said that Vivzie doesn't make a show, she makes music videos and tries to write a fanfic around making them possible.

If we see Ozzie's song the "finale song" of season 1, it aged really bad. Lyrics looks bizarre in hindsight with current ozzy and stolas (who felt ashamed), as if it was really written before both were changed to be hyperlikable gays who value true love and consent.

I consider Mastermind the "finale song" of season 2 and it's also very offensive. The song was (allegedly) written +3 years ago, the lyrics don't make sense with the final episode and Satan ruling before lucifer was retconned by vivzie on the same day. It's likely that Satan DID rule hell originally but Hazbin releasing made her change her mind.

Season 4 finale should only release after 4-6 years and is very likely to go through multiple changes before being finalized, but the song being finished NOW means it will make no sense with the inevitable changes.

Gonna spice it up this time. Not a single this time, and wanted to try something different. A quick redesign of everyone's favorite character.

STOLAS

Design wise pretty bad, and doesn't look like his original demon counterpart. As well as just a classist and or racist, bad dad, rapist, victim baby. He's an overall bad character.

Not the best color scheme to identify his powers with the stars
Tattered clothes
Gay top hat
Shitty rumper onesie
Doesn't look like an owl, but instead looks to me like a weird weasel bird chimera because of how long he is.
Has no star theme/ doesn't dress like an aristocratic/astrologist/prince but instead looks like a rejected highschool drum major.
Repeating body type
He's only 35ish when he's an immortal demon.

He's a immortal demon and I gave him a thicker body mush like an owl.
He's a mix of a horned owl and a barn owl, played with his eyebrow fluff horned owls have becoming actual horns.
His crown is fused to his skull, planets and stars decorate his crown when hes working.

More points in his design to make him intimating
His wings are his cape as well as his tail feathers, he usually wraps them around himself to look more like an astrologist with the drapes.
His feathers are decked out in stars and the galaxy like his little cape the original Stolas had where he sang his wahh wahh gay sad song.
His book holds his power and is connected to him

Thoughts for purpose in the story

He stays the villian of the story and doesn't become a sad boy.
Is still arranged to be Stella's wife
His father buys Blitzo to be his servant, as his father sells him after the Circus incident. Blitzo stays his servant the whole time to entertain him with his clown tricks.
He sees imps as small and insignificant, so he feels no threat from him. He trains him to be a body guard for him where he develops a passion for killing and assassination.
Stolas still uses him for sexual services.
Blitzo because of his role begins to memorize everything about him.
Stolas gets very comfortable with him seeing him like a pet
And when The Harvest festival happens Stolas takes him with eventually meets Striker. Who sees potential in Blitzo and praises his skills, and tempts him so they both fund I.M.P which is an undercover murder buissness for sinners as if Lucifer/Charlie finds out they are contributing to the overpopulation and tampering with man it can cause a war against heaven. As they are tampering where they are supposed to go in the after life.
Blitzo knowing Stolas is so comfortable with him when Stolas wants to fuck him, he completely seduced Stolas to get his Grimore and spells and he steals it.
Stolas is now powerless and begins to panic as he cannot do his job without it, and would be executed for letting an imp fuck everything up.
Blitzo uses the spellbook as he watched Stolas use it for years, and gains some of Stolas's powers to help them.

They recruite Millie who is an already established assassin, and Striker actually adopts Loona as he sees her as a loyal henchman dog like everyone in hell does Blitzo gravitated to her becoming her found father seeing himself in her yada yada.
And Moxxie later (rewrite for him and all the other ones.)
Stella still hates him, but wants to keep the Goetia name clean for the sake of her daughter so her and her brother Andrealphus scheme to get the book back and fix this before the deadly sins find out.
As this can be catastrophic as imps/demons could find out they can over throw royalty it would cause hell to devour itself and they would all be genocided by "God".

Stolas wants revenge on Blitzo, and might have unrequited feelings for Blitzo. As much like the narcissistic abuser he is he only sees all the good things he's given to Blitzo.
Blitzo hates him and Striker and him are hoping that with enough of the book/Stolas's powers from the Grimore they might be able to go the the depths of hell to get Holy weapons and kill all the Goetia/Overlords/Sins/ and even Lucifer. As they are tired of being seen as the lowest race.

These are just some of my thoughts feel free to give your thoughts or anything like that.

The sheer volume of Loona art that has her as like, a superhero, or in a crossover all by her lonesome really reinforces just how hard her presence is carrying the show. People can take I.M.P. or leave them, as long as Loona's still involved.

Can see getting recruited into IMP when Striker and Blitz got a shimpment of guns from Chaz that he stole from Crimsons family. So Moxxie was sent to deal with it and after a fight, Blitz offers Moxxie a chance to join 'em so he doesnt continue being a dog that barks on his fathers orders, plus wasting his potential. Heck, could even work of Millie trying to help Moxxie open up more, as she was raised by more loving parents and always had em around for support, thus showing her having a more open an extroverted nature.

Possibly. It would be an interesting challenge, as I love making horrifying creatures especially Vivs uninspired designs.

And just like that, you have the makings of a strong relationship between Moxxie and Millie and showing how they became a wholesome pair.

I've been thinking about what even is the role of Vassago in the HB series, who the fuck is he and why should i, as the audience, give a damn about him? who invited bro to the party?

In his debut, we only see him fanboy-ing for Stolas and getting mad at Andre. From what was shown to us, we can gather that his character apparently has a strong sense of justice (wanting Stolas present at the trial from the start) and that he speaks spanish, cool, and then? He get's sidelined for the rest of the episode and that's it.

I understand this was his first appearance in the series (and in the story as a whole), but i'm not alone in thinking this was a very weak way to introduce a supposedly very important character down the line into the show, right?

In their respective debuts, Robo-Fizz hinted that something fucky happened around the time Blitz left the circus life and became an assasin, Stella and Octavia show us that Stolas has a family, Striker introduces angelic weapons to HB and the hellish-caste system to an extend, Fizzarolli shows us he has some kind of past with Blitz, Crimson reveals Moxxie's mafia past. But the fuck does Vassago reveal or show that's new to us? That he has some kind of past with Andre? that's the only thing i can think of, and i'm not sure if it even applies, because maybe Vassago is too justice autistic to demand a fair trial that he would call out anyone.

Why was Vassago the one to call for Stolas to appear in the trial and not Ozzie? the one character we actually see Stolas interact with once, and the one who gave him the crystal thing for Blitz?

Also, so much for supporting Stolas, because Vassago doesn't even get a mention in the sinsmas episode, did he reach out to Stolas in any way after that? who knows.

Basically Viv wanted to add a love triangle to season 3 so we can prolong the will they/won't they plotline with Stolas and Blitzø. Because that sort of story has NEVER made a show worst before. Even though adding Vassago seems pretty pointless in the long run and he breaks an already established narrative, WHO CARES? He'll add shipping drama. Then after that whole ordeal is done he can get paired with Andrealphus because they're both gay. And that means Andrealphus will be the one to get a redemption arc. Because fuck women! (Not in the sexual way though, because these fujoshis don't want that shit.)
