Andrealphus and Stella

Another character I unironically love Stella. She clearly has a tragic villainess trope and clear set motivations, if she was made by anyone else she would of been a nuanced and complex character. And Andrealphus would be an interesting lacky that expanded the Goetias and hell in general.

I didn't change too much of Stella but I changed her bird as she's supposed to be a swan? But she looks more like a Secretary bird so I changed her to be one. Andrealphus changed the most as he looked to me like a fucking woman, and his arms in that fluffy neck wrap really distracts me as his arms break and dislocate in there. Gave him a regal prince look, with sharper edges, and adding in ice throughout the design with armored ice claws, and his beak being rugged ice, and his ice crown.

Story wise

Changed they're dynamic I noticed that none of Vivs characters have good relationships with their siblings. (Sallie Mae is only focused cus Viv fetishizing MtF) So for my version Andrealphus is Stella's older Brother who very much loves his sister and protects her as she doesn't have powers, Stella and him get along great and have a very strong bond.

Stella is remarkably intelligent, kind and wants to be a good ruler in the future for the Goetia and make them proud.

Andrealphus is aware of Stolas being a favorite of Paimon, as a golden child spoiled, and rotten to the core.

He was told the same age as Stolas his purpose, and when they discussed his role he asks what his sisters would be hoping what her powers are and what her role would be. They tell him that she is only designed to be a birthing vessel and she doesn't have a purpose, and states she will not be told it till she reaches the day before the wedding. This devastated him as he is swarn to secrecy as not to tamper with the role.

Stella is unaware and happy, blissfully ignorant that she is destined to be an object to Stolas. Andrealphus despises Stolas.

Stella is told on their wedding day her purpose, and during the marriage is devastated. And their wedding results in a crown resembling Stolas's be fused to her skull which is a very painful process.

Much like regular consummation in the older times (royals would have all their family come and watch them go at it) demons watch them have sex to insure the pact and that there is an heir. Andrealphus is forced to watch it, breaking him down as he knows his sister has no say in it happening. When she gives birth to Octavia (egg) hes watching the one he loves the most just become a hollow version of herself.

When Stolas cheats Stella keeps her mind and with her intelligence she makes a plan with Andrealphus to get back the book. Andrealphus hesitates and doesn't want to initially help, as he hates her husband and Octavia (as to what she represents believing that Stella should of taken Octavias role) but gives in as it's his sister who needs him, reawakened his protectiveness of his sister when they were younger.

Stella does this as her husband would ruin their Goetia status, and her daughters future. As she more then anything loves her daughter and wants her to fulfill her destiny that is higher then Stella. And sees it as a justification for all of her suffering being with Stolas and his degeneracy.

Stella and Andrealphus would be a foil to Striker and Blitzo as they themselves are lower in the Goetia totem pole (Stolas and Octavia are the highest ones) and still have to adhere to the rules of hell, though through the guise of nobility.

Some small thoughts feel free to give me your thoughts as usual.

They trash Christianity but when it's Islam, somehow, they are so quiet. But, I've seen actual former Muslims highly critical of Islam. Hell, some even say it won't survive the 21st century properly because of progress not aligning with its main ideals (or rather, the ideals of those spreading it). The crazy thing? They're so frightened if they gotta say something about Islam, all religions and beliefs involved (as far as my observations go), but if it's Christianity, they're free to criticize.

> is atheist
> proceeds to idolize demons from "mumbo-jumbo" lore from the "evil Chrischuds" to the point of naming a pet after her

They should just admit they're satanist.

Also, I swear that a lot of people claiming to be atheist/wiccan/whatever shamanic hoodou-voodoo tend to claim religious abuse or have gone through such abuse, but I'm beginning to notice a trend where lots of "OMG CONVERTED TO ATHEIST SLAY" people tend to have some convenient religious aboos story.
Pretty much, and usually it's the horrible event of, *gasp*, their parents forcing them to go to church THE HORORR!

Fuck it, with the talk of Cherri being useless from yesterday I'll share my rewrite.
-Cherri is introduced midway through a S1 that's not focused on Heaven and like the pitched episodes, She does shit with Angel, who is still not taking the Hotel at all seriously and relapses into his old behavior, getting into another battle for territory with Cherri (Pentious could also make a brief cameo here during some montage or song sequence).

-Angel returns to the Hotel only for Vaggie and Charlie to immediately confront him and call him out again, unlike what happens in the pilot he actually apologizes (albeit hesitantly) after seeing how he hurt Charlie again, showing how he is starting to grow closer to the Hotel.

-Additionally the episode with Pentious trying to woo Rosie with the help of the Hotel happened lateish into S1, I'd have it so this pisses off Rosie so she tries to kill Pentious near the end but Charlie uses her authority of being the princess of Hell to talk her out of it (You know, sort of like she did to get Alastor to help her), Pentious decides to take Charlie's subsequent offer of joining the Hotel out of a sense of obiglation and gratitude.

-Early into S2 Cherri shows up at the Hotel, she really pissed off an Overlord (much more than usual) and needs somewhere to lie low, the Overlord doesn't chase her down like what happens with Mimzy and the loan sharks, but as soon as she runs into Pentious it takes about thirty seconds for a fight to ensue.

-A duet and fight between the two rivals happens and completely trashes several rooms of the Hotel, this pisses off Vaggie enough that she forces them to parley (Actually giving her things to do outside of being Charlie's girlfriend) under the threat she'll kick both of them out, they agree to end their rivalry at least for the time being.

-Cherri's arc in S2 mirrors Angel's in S1, not really taking the Hotel seriously and just viewing it as a roof over her head, but as she connects to the other people at the Hotel she slowly starts enjoying her new lifestyle, add in a couple scenes and background events that at least foreshadow Pentious growing more amicable with her too so Cherrisnake isn't completely out of left field.

-The rest mainly follows what happens in the actual show, but I'd add a cameo of Izzi in the final minutes of the finale like with Angel's brother and Baxter, and have him in a Cherri focused episode in S3.

Ah yes, raping people and causing them to lose children = feminism.

I literally saw a demonology blog thing talking about how Lilith became a symbol of feminism because "muh strong, confident woman ain't under no man." They acknowledged how she was also being bitchy to other innocent women by killing their children and that the people seeing her as a feminist icon should chose another woman from the bible (one of the lady prophets in Judges, I don't remember their names) as a feminist icon instead.

But, of course, Chadbrahamic religions bad, right?
Barak and Deborah? Barak was an afraid man and perhaps "uncertain". Lacked pulse much like Eli. And Deborah had to step in the role of a Judge as a punishment for Israel (or a specific tribe of) in order to take down Sisera. That's in Judges 4 and 5, that's after Ehud, the left handed man, died. At no given point there's an outward point of "God's a feminist", in fact, God is punishing the Israelites with their disobedience by putting a woman ahead of man by showing she is able to be more "firm" in her judgement compared to the scared Barak, and that was an humiliation, in order for Israel to wake up and man up again.

To not make this a religious thing...
Still the best way to piss off a fandom.

LoLz, they can make straight characters be homos but making homo characters do straight stuff is a no no. Hypocrisy much?

Andrealphus and Stella
I thought Andrealphus looked kind of a creeper in the image here, no offence. But reading the description, I very much liked it - and agree it fully. He is there as a protector, not as a "you're going to bear my child!"-kind of way.
Well done.

Andrealphus and Stella

My new profile picture. Thank you.

fetishizing MtF

Isn't being trans in itself a whole fetish? At least, with most people who drink the trans koolaid. So honestly, she's not too far off. I can at least commend that Sallie has yet to blabber about him being trans or anything. Feels less fetishistic and more 'hey look we have a TRANS character isn't that so DIVERSE and INCLUSIVE??' really.

Stella does this as her husband would ruin their Goetia status, and her daughters future. As she more then anything loves her daughter and wants her to fulfill her destiny that is higher then Stella. And sees it as a justification for all of her suffering being with Stolas and his degeneracy.

God, I just want to believe this what she meant to do in the show. A character with both flaws and strengths? A villain who's more than being cartoonishly evil and wishes to do what they can to get back on the individual that hurt them? Watch out, Vivziepop would probably melt and vaporize off the planet Earth after seeing Stella being seen in a light that isn't just her being cannon fodder for the Stolitz show.

I really love your take on Stella with this redesign. Her expressions are on point, too. The exact feeling of a heiress forced into labor, and it's always no wonder she can't express such woes other than unbridled anger. Every day I'm reminded how robbed of a character this woman is. She'll get no justice in Season 3 and will only continue being as shallow of a villain as of her character.

My hatred for Stolas grows deeper every day, man.

The whole Lillith being a feminist icon thing came from people not telling the entire story.

For those that don't know, the tl;dr is that she wanted Adam, and her to have sex side-by-side instead of him just being on top because they were equals since God made them from the same dirt, or something, and because they couldn't agree, she basically said "Screw this, I'm outta here," and then left the Garden.

Now here's the part that the people who paint her as some feminist icon leave out.

God then said that if she didn't get her ass back to the Garden, a fuckton of her children would die every day, and Lillith just fucking doubled-down on everything, and basically just goes "Fuck you, I'll kill them my damn self because that's what I was created to do, anyway!", and then she does.

Yeah.

So, while she did have a point in the beginning, and God saying her children will die if she doesn't come back is a really shitty move, she's still not a hero, or a feminist icon at all because she just ends up doing all that evil shit by herself.

IIRC, Lilith is associated with causing harm to pregnant women and newborn mortality. Superstitious people put angelic sigils over cribs to ward her off. That's how I first learned about her. When I see ppl taking up her name I can't help but think that the person wants to kill babies and pregnant women.

Andrealphus and Stella

Beautiful story. I would love it for the rule to be this: "if you don't have strong powers, you're only a stallion or mare." Thing is, what if you have a brain? Powers with no brain is a bad mix (Stolas). It would be so cool to see your version of Stella go numb after marrying Stolas but once Via is 17, she gets her fiery, intelligent, no-bullshit self back and gets to be a badass mom for her beautiful daughter and decides to have Andy teach Via magic instead. Like, bro, Stolas, you're the man and the one with the greater power and can destroy cities, so why aren't you teaching her, dude?

Tying this in with my idea of Blitzo leaving Stolas for another boss, Via, finally more powerful than her dad under the tutelage of Andrealphus and Stella, gets to help Blitzo more and stand on her two feet as a 17 year old badass prodigy. She may not want the position, but she is also getting the money and using it to her advantage unlike Stolas who throws away his money on whatever.

Helluva Boss should've been a story about taking responsibility and initiative while getting into mostly silly situations on Earth and in the demon workplace:

- Blitzo takes initiative to fix his relationships with others to get better connections in business and life while surrounding himself with better influences if he leaves that stupid Stolas.

-Via finds a better father figure in Andrealphus and becomes powerful on her own because she decided to grow a pair unlike Stolas.

- Moxxie grows a pair but also remains more rational and intelligent, making him very dangerous. Millie learns to chill out and be less insecure of her strength, learning to think before acting instead of charging headfirst into battle (her parents said she sucked at hiding bodies, indicating recklessness).

- Loona sets herself straight and is less of an emo teen and grows up, lives life.

- The demon I prefer, Leraje, would be a good model for them - royal, rich, but also works hard, thinks, plans, always prepared, never underestimates, all in order to create chaos.

- Blitzo, the main guy, learns from Verosika and Fizz that sometimes, you really need to leave the old life behind with the bad influence to prosper, so Blitzo decides to move on and prosper on his own. 4 bad, broken relationships - his family, his friend Fizz, Verosika, and Stolas. He has time to reflect and change.

- Stolas doesn't die, but is kicked from daddy's home for being a stupid nigga and cries in his mansion because IT'S ALL HIS FAULT AND HE REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE IT.

- Blitzo gets access to some of Via's legions.

- Fizz congratulates Blitzo and wishes him the best, but decides to keep his distance. Vero wants to Boohoo get back, but Blitzo says "no." She cries like a petty bitch but goes on. Barbie is happy in the human world again.

- Blitzo sits at the top. He's now an actual inspiration for imps to do something, even the smallest deed. Remember, a productive workforce is one that's motivated. He can actually help employees and employers by being an inspo to both and increase hell's productivity. Blitzo gets rich, hell's workforce works better, the royals get richer, Charlie gets more sinner clients and her hotel gets more reception, Heaven considers the plan interesting and receives it. Everyone wins.

Here's the thing: self-improvement requires CRITICISM. Since Viv, the creator herself, has no backbone or discernment, she refuses to accept that fact IN HER OWN CARTOONS and instead makes everyone bow down to the stupid bullshit.

In my own rewrite, Blitzo finally gets the mentor he needs in Leraje and Leraje is not a pussy like Stolas and would hurl the most painful yet true criticisms that would wake up Blitzo and practically tell him "get the shit together." Viv, on the other hand, reacts so violently to a meme about the curse words in her shows she blocks the memer, which gets an amused reaction out of him, and she throws an even bigger tantrum.

Also, I could smell the shitty agendas behind Viv's ruined story. If Blitzo improves his personality and becomes less messy weirdo and more badass professional with the people he's working with, be it royals, other business imps, or the clients, he could ascend with the connections. Why are the successful corporations and businessmen successful? Connections. You don't just get connections by being a gooner who fucks the boss (though it does happen, but THAT'S NOT THE ONLY FACTOR and THAT'S HOW STOLAS FUCKS UP); you get them through people skills. Even "mere" employees climb up the ranks like that! But why did Viv mess it up? Because da financhuds are bad. Well, it's a story about literal evil demons, HOW ELSE DO YOU EXPECT THEM TO BEHAVE? Shouldn't Viv and the fans be proud of themselves for seeing the CEOs of the real world be portrayed as demons with a connection to each other, working together and benefiting off human misery?

Its kind of funny how in a lot of rewrites I see of Helluva Boss, everyone forgets Barbie Wire (Blitzø's sister). But I can't really blame them since the show forgets her as well.

Her story is basically repeats on Fizzaroli's and Verosika's story, and if the whole idea for her is that "some people won't forgive you" it makes Barbie seem she's holding an unwarranted grudge considering that both Fizz and Verosika have forgiven Blitzø for marginally worst things he has done to them. With Verosika it's harder to say because it's not very clear if she has forgiven Blitzø or not, but with Fizzaroli he becomes crippled because of Blitzø's actions, even if they are completely accidental. Yeah, he gets cool robo limbs but that's because he has a sugar daddy to take care of him. He is still very much uncomfortable with the way he looks as we saw in the Mammon episode. But he didn't hold any ill-will towards Blitzø for his body becoming ruined; he was only upset because of a miscommunication between the two of them thinking the other didn't want to see each other.

So why is Barbie Wire so upset with Blitzø? I suppose you can say for killing their mom, but we can only guess that being the case because we don't really know Barbie Wire as a character. If I was writing these two, I would have made the reason being that Blitzø (whether deliberately or accidentally) got Barbie hooked on drugs in the first place. And that's why she wants to have nothing to do with him. Especially since she went to rehab, she doesn't want to end up relapsing by bringing Blitzø back into her life.

I haven't forgotten of Barbie, but I can completely understand people here not giving her a second thought. She can be an very interesting person with a rich story. I think because of how this show is going she's just adding to overbloated nature of the show. If it were me for a rewrite I would keep her as a reminder of Blitzo doing what he's done, she herself would be in Fizz's role as she would be the one that is maimed and left paraplegic. (Loosing a leg)

In the Fizz redo/rewrite I have it that he only suffers from the burns and gets his own limbs cut off for Ozzie, as it's to add into his dedication/love and servitude to a Deadly Sin which shows the depravity of hell.

Barbie would be the one recovering in the hospital (it's funny he doesn't even think of her in the Ghostfuckers Episode but thinks of Fizz) Cash still hits him and beats him because of what he did to his daughter (who he would be more attached to) and thus selling him to Paimonto try and recoup the damage Blitzo cost. Punishing Blitzo for the destruction he caused and then becoming a slave to Stolas for the rest of his life.

On top of grieving for her mother dying Barbie would be trying to learn to walk again, she is told she can never be a preformer and can't do the stunts she did before. Cash would do everything in his power to help his daughter who is suffering, he would steal medicine from the Hospital to give to her to numb her pain (mentally and physically) which she becomes addicted to, Cash unintentionally made her pain worse thinking it would help her. With her fake leg (not a robot leg) she escapes from the hospital and steals/robs sinners and Imps to fuel her addiction. Growing worse for wear, then adding back to the pilot joke where Blitzo says homeless people bring him joy he would eventually meet his sister who is the homeless person whos been watching him and Striker seething (he never realized it was her). Eventually he would pass by her passing the streets and break down in her drugged out stupor she yells at him the speech saying this is all his fault and that he ruined her life. Blitzo has to pretend he doesn't know her and leaves her alone. Then as she's spilling out his illegal use of the book to the dementor rejects catch wind of this and would eventually be brought to Stella and Andrealphus because of her being his twin she knows how her brother works they would pay her in a promise that they would give her leg back (now robotic), and they train her to be their version of an assassin. And she would be a reoccurring villian who tries killing her brother and IMP

tbh, for Barbie, I liked to imagine that she just... leaves Hell. Fucks off to Earth, tosses the asmodeus device away, and lives disguised among humans until she meets a state fair cook and hits it off with him to the point she had three children and another on the way with him, traveling from fair to fair, cooking his trademark gumbo and becoming very good at it.

And then Blitzo finds her during a "job" and she just wants him to go away and never come back.

@Re(Runner)48 I have to say not only do I like your redesigns, but I also like your rewrites for the characters as well. Especially when you give more depth to the flat one-dimensional ones like Stella or even Cash Buckzo. You actually make Hell feel like...Hell lmao

Thanks I appreciate it. I'm an artist and a writer myself, this keeps me from getting rusty as graduation from art school really messed up my creative flow and sort of drained me, so this helps.

I can see that. I personally thought Cash would go to earth, as there's nothing for him in Hell anymore. And thus leaves his failing circus, dead wife and fucked up kids going up to the surface to start a new life. Possibly becoming a CEO/ or a traveler/ even becoming a character like Captin Spalding from Devils rejects where he makes a carnival on earth on Halloweens and because he's a demon he's actually successful here and the stuff he shows is legit.

The problem with Barbie is that, as currently portrayed, she literally only exists to give Blitzo more angst and has no "potential" to be anything else. You can't rewrite her without rewriting blitzo by proxy. This show is also too gay for Barbie to NOT forgive blitzo at this point so she's also a "solved" character. I dont see her having her own friends or developing any other relationships besides a token fizz talk cause vivzie hates her more than octavia. Watch Barbie not be allowed to be happy until she forgives blitzo.

Not even hazbin fans want to write barbie, i glance her name on AO3 and it's ALL yaoi fics with barbie tagged for the sake of bloat where she probably gets mentioned once to make blitzo feel sad.

I still vaguely remember that old art where Angel Dust and Vaggie were a couple instead of Charlie and Vaggie. Way better dynamic than what we currently have too.
Late but I really like Vaggie and Angel, I like the idea that Angel sometimes mess with Vaggie but at the end she forgives him because she knows he cares for her, and Vaggie defending Angel despite her being shorter sounds cute, maybe it's because their interactions in the pilot shows genuine emotions, maybe it's also because Vaggie is short and Angel is tall and it makes a good balance between the two, maybe it's also because they have similar color palettes or look like they would do clothes matching, same with Charlastor, they really look like they both belong, Alastor and Charlie's personalities being the opposite is something fans really love.

It's like Viv has the ability to create good relationships but only by accident.
