Given how most of the crew really seems to like Valentino, they might even do it in purpose to set a future redemption arc for them afterall Viv once said that she would like to make a spin-off about the Vees.

When I saw them for the first time, I thought they were scars too, but that analysis on his Valentine's Day merch made me question it.

As I said before, Vox having air vents since he's a fucking tv would make much more sense then him being part shark. Surprisingly, him being a TV demon that happens to like sharks would actually make him feel more like a real person than it being "oh he has a strong connection to sharks because he himself is one". Prequels focusing on side characters can certainly work, sometimes amazingly so.

Ideally a Vees spinoff would expand on the character and background stories of the Vees as well as the other Overlords, Lucifer, Lilith, as well as Adam and Lute and what they're up too in Heaven when not carrying out the exterminations. But Viv would probably mainly focus on gay sex drama between Vox and Valentino.

In all due respects why the hell doesn't she do a spin off of Lucifers fall and him with Lilith. Hell even CHARLIE'S optimistic mindset and what made the main character who she is today. She's the lead for God sake, you say you care so much about her but her mindset and actions beg to differ.

Most likely because she really hasn't put that much thought if any at all into it, and that's a subject/theme that really needs a lot of deep thought and careful planning put into it if you want to tackle it.

Ideally, a backstory on Lucifer and Lilith would put them in a sympathetic light and highlight that there were mistakes and misunderstandings, but would nonetheless show that ultimately, even if they did have the best of intentions, it was their own pride and arrogance that wound up ruining paradise, creating Hell, and introducing evil into the world and causing the fall of man. But knowing Viv and the other writers she has it would probably be all "poor misunderstood Lucifer and poor Lilith disrespected by that evil misogynist chud Adam."

As for Charlie and her backstory and why she even wants to run the hotel and redeem souls, I can't remember who it was, but someone in this thread had put forth the fascinating theory that the ultimate goal of Charlie's hotel was that she would eventually be able to redeem her father so he could be allowed back into Heaven. That would certainly explain why she believes so much that sinners can be redeemed - mainly because she wants to believe they can be redeemed so that her father, who she loves and adores so much, could finally be able to atone for his actions all those eons ago and return home.

But again, it's doubtful she's given much thought to it other than "I want Charlie to be a quirky and happy Disney Princess type character!"

The only demon Gus would enjoy being around is Alastor. Pilot Alastor specifically. A sophisticated monster who gets down to business to let people know who he is.

But has this positive well mannered gentleman front when interacting with others on an every day basis.




Series Alastor would probably remind Gus of Walt: A man with honest incredible feats.


But has an ego as fragile as glass that he'd be insufferable to deal with for more than five minutes.
