Do you believe that this series will turn to shit?

Maybe if it was only used when Alastor got his staff broken by Adam I would agree. That simple "Oh shit" made sense because he realized that he was screwed now. But the earlier swears ruined that moment. Especially when he went "Fuck you" to Lucifer in their petty argument.
It is at least fun watching reactions from insane fangirls who built up Alastor in their heads as the ultimate "2 1337 4 u" badass who could wreck God in a fight just get his shit pushed in.

Since the constant cursing already made it too late to fix the impact destroyed by it, how about when the staff gets broken, Alastor simply quits smiling? That'd be far more visually impactful because he's such an unserious fellow, so when he stops grinning the moment his staff is broken, that means shit got real.

Hell is Forever is an exception since it's Adam, and that's just in-character
The issue here is everyone talks like that. If there's one trait everyone in the show shares, it's being crass and foul-mouthed with the language alongside not being straight. Result? Once you get something new that meets the category of these two specific things, it doesn't feel new - it's just another rehash with multiple tweaks.

I would have to look back to confirm if this is still in the actual show, but it does show that Alastor's mouth is sewn for him to be always smiling. Meaning that this is something that is forced on him, most likely because of his deal with Rosie/Lilith.

I have a mild feeling the reason why the sins are represented as "ok you can do the bad thing but keep it good and responsible fun" is because it's.... surprise, surprise... a gooner show. The bad things like Lust and Gluttony being described as "a journey" in the words of Asmodeus and something that has to be fun and not done when sad as shown with Beelzebub are a euphemism for sex because the evil Chrischuds and Conservatives see it as bad, and the demons which are the LGBTQ+, Lefties, and commies are the good, open-minded ones who care about boundaries and embracing sexuality.

TL;DR - Both Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss are the ultimate sex joke divided into two parts. Think about it: why is everyone making allusions to sex, all the jokes are sex, and the characters Viv loves the most are so sexual (Stolas and Angel Dust, for example)?

"Gluttony and debauchery are le good... because it is, okay?!?"
"Being against that makes you a Christofascist!"

Except Mammon is just completely evil because...capitalism=bad.

So since the new HB short is going to come out soon, I have one question to ask my fellow kiwis: Did anyone else think that the shorts for this show were going to be more on the side characters and their plots instead of IMP going on missions?
You mean did I think the series would be about the premise of the show and not the shorts? Yes.

Funny. She portrays Greed like she wants viewers to see that she sees it as a bad thing. Like, "I couldn’t be greedy, I show how awful and gross it is in my show." Same thing with sex. She won’t admit her projects are goonerbait. She wraps it in pride flags and acts like it's virtuous representation, like that makes the fetishization okay. It's like a curated denial. Self-image management pretending to be art. Interesting...

ETA: clarity...

I'd say the times when the swearing takes me out of it the most are during the song numbers. Hell is Forever is an exception since it's Adam, and that's just in-character, but I always roll my eyes at "Happy fuckin' day in Hell." It's just so unnecessary and completely ruins the flow.
Adding to this there's a point where the swearing feels completely awkward in a song. "A loser, goddamn baby" makes no sense in a sentence.

In context, they should have used an adjective like "crying" or "whiner," but from a meta perspective, it's clear they went with the swear since it keeps the romantic application of "baby" more vague in that it lets shippers pretend there's a comma before it.
Everything about the show has to be read both as what's actually happening and through the eyes of a yaoi fujoshi.

So we all know how wonky the timeline is in Helluva Boss, right? Well, my mind came across another example:

So remember at the end of the Ozzie's episode Stolas says Octavia is with Stella for the weekend and invites Blitzø to stay over? In The Circus episodes after all the flashbacks, it is still the same night of the Ozzie's episode right? So my question is...

Why the fuck is Stella here? Did she just magically poof in at the exact right moment after Stolas' melodramatic song? If for whatever reason she just returned to Stolas' mansion the same day, where the fuck is Octavia then? Is she even here? What if Blitzø had agreed to stay over with Stolas? What would have have happened then?

I know that I'm probably be way too nitpicky over this, but it just shows to be how so disconnected season 1 is to season 2. It's almost like Viv didn't even watch the first season and only got an a summary of what has been going on so far in the story.

I seem to recall Stella stating she only came back to the palace specifically to torment stolas. As for where Octavia is I have no idea.

I thought that was in response to why she is still staying her all the time during the week when Stolas has Octavia, not this specific moment. Either way, I still think that is the dumbest reason. Especially when it was shown to us previously she doesn't want to be around Stolas.

You know, Stella and Verosika are a lot more similar than I thought. In season 1, both were shown to be nasty and vengeful when their "ex" was in the same vicinity as them; almost like they only acted this way because the individual that screwed then over was nearby and it reminded them of those painful memories. But then, season 2 recontexualized them to be petty bitches that think about how much they hate their ex's all the time...and that's just it for their character.
