It managed to make the fanboys in the Reddit thread cry, so I'll consider it a win.

They are slowly awakening. Good for them for catching up with the rest of us. A tad late, but hey we welcome you to discuss about how unabashedly shitty the series is.

I hope not, I think Oneyplays group shouldn't touch this dog shit with a 80 foot pole. They bring stuff to make the show good, then Viv would just take it like the attention hog she is.
C'mon, don't tell me you wouldn't love the idea of hearing Zach Hadel's beautiful goblin voice singing about overcoming his daddy issues with the help of his gay lover.

I don't see a problem with them killing innocent people (in the context of the short) but it goes to demonstrate how the dramatic half and comedic half of this show clashes with each one and even the fans can see it. Doesn't help that both halves aren't good at what their set to do.

I mean the joke works if Helluva Boss stuck to being a dark mean spirited comedy instead of becoming a drama show where we are meant to see these people as good samaritans.
tfw melodrama bullshit eats not one but TWO shows to the point the one that still has some newgrounds guys involved somehow does a little goofy murder funny and EVERYONE LOSES THEIR GOD DAMN MINDS!

It's funny how they have more chemistry with each other when they were written to be friends in the pilot instead of girlfriends in the actual show.

>two female characters have fun dynamic and chemistry
>people want them together
>creator makes them lesbians
>everyone claps
>Creator can't write conflict anymore to not upset shippers so the dynamic is twisted into "i support you babe uwu"
>it becomes boring and they have no chemistry anymore

Every time.

Gotta give credit, I never thought they would actually have IMP kill someone who didn't deserve it (I thought the ending twist would be he's actually some sick pedophile).

I was going to say this but now i wonder if that wasn't half the point of the short. You'd think post S2 finale blitzo would relate to the adoptive father but instead they make it clear he has no hesitation here, they kill someone fully innocent. It's like they made it so people (me specifically) would shut about "Blitzo only kills bad people now".

But even then they still can't commit fully to the edgyness of the pilot. Loona has to shoot the guy by accident twice and seems visibly shaken by it, while blitzo does it to help. Either way it wasn't written by vivzie, i don't think she would write post S2 blitzo like this.

it's either that or they become horribly abusive but it's supposed to be wholesome even though one of thems like being beat to death in a magic timeloop or being put in the eternal torment device some other bullshit that they bring into the plot to cement how "inseparable" they are.

It’s like that on Twitter as well. Do these people not know how assassins work? Specifically demon assassins? I think they head cannoned that imp is actually some crusaders for justice targeting the wicked, and not complete monsters that murder people for money, giving 50% off the price if a parking spot on the line. It’s like the Spring Break Episode and Seeing Stars never happened where innocent people were killed. But what, Mr. Rogers 2.0 is just too good? And they say we lack media literacy.

That was...actually decent.

Like even the twist was genuinely funny
The joke is that they killed Mr Rogers. And because the dude's already dead he can't say anything about being "defamed".

The short wasn't fun, to me. It's one long joke setup with an even shittier payoff. "DONT WORRY DADDY WILL FIX THIS" and the payoff isn't even that great, for a punchline. We all knew Wriggler would get got. So why am I not laughing?

weirdly respectful.
I think it's just respectful, while still having fun with the funny concept of mr. rogers taking matters into his own hands (even though he'd obviously never do it like that.)

I mean he is the guy that was sort of known for doing the following:
EDIT: I just remembered a few years ago reddit/twitter people suddenly decided to make it their pet thing to hate him because "transpobia" or some shit in his one song for a little bit.

Not to derail the thread - but it's all because of one song, with the lyric "if you're born a boy you stay a boy; if you're born a girl you stay a girl". (Or something to that effect).

Fred Rogers was not "transphobic" or anything of the sort. He was teaching children in an age-appropriate manner - something trannies are particularly bad at.

Which is strange, because for the longest time, Mr Rogers was a sacred cow on the internet, even among the most abrasive and mean spirited of internet users.

I'm gonna have to disagree with cryptidfuck, repudiating trans ideology in such a manner (by saying that boys will always be boys, girls will always be girls, period) makes one a transphobe. There's nothing wrong with being a transphobe.

So, this is something a buddy of mine pointed out as we chatted about this short. Apparently in some mythology, Hellhounds are seen as heralds of death and basically what would have made this scene funnier is Loona goes through this transformation, smiles to the guy and then it cuts to him dead on the ground Peter Griffin style and Loona going "Fuck....I forgot this usually happens..."

It was alright until the forced gore in the end. Awesome. This could've actually had justifications of IMP not killing someone if they did abandon the assassination. But nope, take that for the gay cheating dad instead!

I like the fact Loona was able to open up, quite possibly the first time she showed her actual form to a human. And all for what? Just for that to be ruined for a cheap, tasteless joke. Great job, Vivzie. You never miss when it comes to utter dog-feces writing.

I wish the guy instead did continue the valid crash out but instead of freaking out Loona and having the gun go off, he just reasonably panics and Loona tries to explain things.

He then takes a breather and tries composing himself. After, he looks back at Loona, still petrified but is willing to understand, places his hand on her shoulder, closes his eyes, and gives nonverbal head nod.

By then, we get a show-don't-tell understanding of him letting her know that he doesn't mind her true form and his eventual death. Then she grabs the gun and asks him one last time, "Thank you for understanding" and leaves out a mild tear before pulling the trigger on him, landing a clean shot to the head. His body slumps on her lap and the scene goes silent. Blitzo pops in and asks her if she wants to do their daddy-daughter day but declines, asking if they could give Mr. Wiggles a proper burial. They then bury him and Blitzo actually understands she's not in the mood for daddy-daughter and instead consoles her. Mr. Wiggles then proceeds to make it to Heaven. The End.

I still think Blitzo should've been cut out of this episode, genuinely. It should've focused on her and the assassination target entirely.

Yeah, I'm doing too much for this stupid short but considering Loona has had little character development since HB is nothing but The Stolas Show now, I had to give something to this woman's character.

Now this just might be me sperging out, but I am getting of animated characters flipping the bird when they have FOUR fingers, ergo no middle finger for the gesture. And I would have liked some explanation as to why Loona's clip only had two bullets. Maybe she says in distress, "Dammit, Moxxie!" to expand on their office rivalry as well as the latter's role as the firearms guy.

Seeing the fact that a lot of people hate the ending, while I thought it was the funniest part of this pretty boring short is just hilarious to me. (Edit: Realized that it wasn't the full ending itself I found funny, but the man's reaction to Loona and the first shot she did. It's like my brain forgot how they prolonged the whole death scene.) I think it's because it reminds me back to when this show was a dark comedy about hellborns with no human moral compass assassinating people on Earth. But in the context of the show now, yeah I can see why it's jarring. The show's theme is no longer what it used to be. Though I'm happy that it proved my theory that Blitzø wasn't changing to have more sympathy for clients, but instead was projecting a personal bias in the Sinsmas episode.

Honestly, the worst part of the short was with the forced dialoge of the client talkinga botu how he orally pleasures his wife and how she enjoys it so much. I know this was just a meta way to shit on Blitzø because he doesn't do oral stuff with his partners...except when he does. Yeah, this show is never consistent with Blitzø's sex life.

Phobia implies irrational and intense fear or fear based hatred. It doesn't matter to me if you frame it as a positive because "Being [noun]phobic is good acksually!" it's still the same result of pinning some form of irrational fear based bias on a guy that never showed any signs of that.
