So I saw the short and...it was fine. I don't know. I guess because I know that these mini episodes aren't going to affect the main show anyway. I guess if you ever experienced road rage this might be relatable? I mean, I haven't and I drive, which is more to say than for half of the audience who aren't old enough.

Also, with the way the man looked while he was driving, I thought it was going to be revealed he was possessed by a demon. But no. It was another incest joke. Which maybe could have worked even a little bit, but because not only did Blitzø mention he was going to do the exact same thing that was the reveal, we also were given a warning even before the episode aired.View attachment 7726925
There was no chance of a shock because we already knew what kind of person he was. Stop revealing things for future episodes.
While a meh short, there is still things it for me to sperg about.

You can't just bring up how killing humans who have no hit on them is huge risk after having a innocent bystander get his head blown off earlier (watching it again, I realized it was a cop, so what did Vivzie mean by this?) or with Blitzo killing people nonchalantly in "Seeing Stars" episode. The red hat was lazy political commentary along with the billboard being a swipe at Christians (I will it admit it was a clever gag). The payoff seems like it was done in response to the previous short because they wanted to make this guy utterly irredeemable. This is where throwing nuance away and safe edgy gets you.

Basically this was all a jab about republicans because of the racist guy that was the initial hit, the "maga hat", incest with a barely legal adult, and it all being in New Mexico. They should have just went all the way then and had the guy wanting to stop his 16 year old daughter from getting an abortion that he conceived with her. But I guess that would have been too much for them, especially after the backlash of Barbie Wire saying how easy teenage humans are to manipulate that they had to make a Twitter post saying "the counselor she's flirting with is totally 18 guys".

Better than expected, but somehow worse than the last short. Got a slight chuckle at the "loitered racistly" and the guy revealing that he was in his way to blow his son but the rest was just things happening, I don't know how to describe it but this one in particular feels like a low point where you can't even get entertainment of how bad it is, it's the definition of average.

And yeah wow did this guy sure deserve it incest sucks controversial I know... they are not even trying anymore and I hate it because these shorts are supposed to be a band-aid for the fact that the actual series has become a mexican telenovela but if this is the quality that we are gonna keep receiving I would rather have nothing. Also I want to point out that the asmodeus crystal now also can transport large objects like Blitzo's van somehow.

Anyways, where in Viv's sharkrobot store can I buy my white man hat?

They don't even feel like the same person.
Because they aren't, first half of S1 Stolas is a different character that ended up being replaced with a lookalike.

Maybe the line is meant to lampshade how killing humans doesn't matter.

Then why pick a state that went to Kamala in the last election?

They aren't going to let Moxxie actually be a good marksman, i.e. his one thing, and get a kill ever, are they (I know he killed that guy at the end, that doesn't count since he could barely move). He nailed that woman through the eye in "Murder Family" and that's it. This is why you don't have a "firearms expert" in a show built around elaborate fight scenes and action sequences.

At least he and Blitzo are getting along, I guess?

The latest short felt very mediocre imo. Most of the jokes don't land that well, the swearing is just kinda there (yes I know it's in the context of road rage, but a funny side effect of basically everyone in the show asides from Moxxie and Stolas having a sailor's mouth is that it's hard to tell when they're genuinely swearing because of anger or they're just talking normally) and the plot structure felt very barebones. When they showed the reckless drivers' face looking worried I immediately knew he was driving for a shitty reason because the show is in love with comedic subversion, so the twist didn't land to me, and asides from that, all there is to the short is just Blitz driving angrily whilst Mox complains, that's it really. This feels like it could be done in 1 min instead of 5, couldn't they have used the 5 minutes for something more creative? Or at least have Moxxie or Blitz do more than just bicker against each other?

Besides that, I don't think the message of the short is bad per se. I think the writing could've been done a lot better/more nuianced, but moxxie learning to not always believe the best of people, even when blatantly displayed otherwise, is an okay step for his character (not that the show will remember). The problem is that the first episode already went over this in a far better way, so this is retreading the same ground, but whatever. On its own the short can at least stand on its two feet, even if barely.

Unless I read the episode wrong and the central message is that Moxxie should believe/listen to his boss more. Blitz is fucking stupid. Moxxie was right about the mission being complete and being able to go home and fuck off, making the shitty driver incident personal could've caused a lot more trouble than it's worth. It's not like Blitz cared on a moral level either, he was just upset. If Moxxie stops being the straigh man of the show it might be over.

The thing is that Adam is presented more of a "battle mage" in a big robe casting spells and swinging an axe, so for him to fucking bare knuckle punch Charlie (who's holding a weapon) with his lanky arm makes her look more pathetic than normal, as if you watched someone get punched by gandalf.

Charlie simply gets slapped, lands a stab while he's distracted, Adam no sells it and instantly disarms her. Girl is a worse fighter than Alastor but managed to escape fraud watch.
It's quite clear that Charlie and especially Vaggie are just window-dressing to appeal to the dyke and "YOU GO GIRL" crowd.
Pretty much every actual badass moment is given to the male characters, though Lute and Rosie may possibly prove an exception if the S2 leaks pan out.

It's clear that Vivzie and Brandon are too afraid of their own fanbase to have Charlie and Blitzo dislike each other so they have to make them hyper safe relationship friends uwu 🤗they just feel confortable with each other cause they instantly tell the other is nice and good and wholesome 🤗
Reminds me of the pilot of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine where Picard and Sisko started off on rocky terms and the fans blamed Sisko for hating Picard even when the whole point was that he had issues processing the loss of his wife.
That is not the high praise you think it is.

It will be interesting to see who wrote this one.
I love how they're basically playing damage control after the shitstorm the last short caused.
what if one of the targets was a trap how would it go
So like that one episode of Death Note?

Why does Viv hate Christianity and the people who believe in it so much? Also trying to shit on people for believing in something that makes them happy is really fucking lame of Viv and her team.

I'm curious what Republicans did to Viv to make her have an unhealthy obsessive disdain for them? I don't like left wing politics but I just try to ignore Liberals instead of sperging about them.

Because these people are stupid and thing all southern states are republican. The real question is...if this is a jab at Republicans, why is the man trying to have sex with his son instead of daughter? Why are the predators and rapists in these shows men that go after other men?

What did you mean by this VIV!?

Because there are some people out that think that being of a different political party means you are the most vile creature out there and think you deserve every bad thing that happens to you. Remember, Viv thought that Scott Cawthon deserved getting doxxed because he was *gasp* a Republican that donated some of his money to the Republican party. The horror! Had no previous interaction with the guy but the minute it was revealed that the open Christian man was a Republican (...duh), he was put on the shit list.

Likely grew up in a liberal bubble and still thinks it's 2005 where Christians and Republicans get dunked on by the Comedy Central giants (Stewart, Colbert, and South Park).

Anyway, the pilot did achive more than the show on how truly chaotic Hell really is here. Besides the intro song, we also have a few instances of seeing what happens outside the hotel walls, and an entire turf war (which for the longest time I theorized that's how people would get souls). But for the show with eight episodes, we get...the first song of the season that shows the life of Hell. The world is so empty.
The turf war is one of my favorite aspects of the pilot because it highlights that the main cast are part of this chaotic world rather than the exception. That Charlie's goals are conflicted due to her only patron embraces and enjoys the chaos. Let's compare that to the series where Angel Dust is a problem for the hotel because... he call people names? He doesn't want to participate in Charlie's hand clapping games? But apparently it's confusing why he isn't in Heaven. After all, he stood up to his abuser, which I guess was the only major thing wrong with him.

Wouldn’t heaven want sinners to be redeemed into heaven and not get purged
You see the Sinners got purged because of a secret hell uprising, btw the purge is hidden from most of Heaven by a paranoid schizophrenic

For real, it's very likely that the upper echelons of Heaven only heard about the redemption idea because of the stupid trial and if Pentious is exposed to the public of Heaven.

This is a main hurdle for me drawing anything like this show's style: how the hell do Blitzo's horns work? Logically? How are they connected to the head. The animators seem to switch from board to board and it sucks trying to keep things consistent between artists' quirks when trying to learn style mimics.

I know it started as an "indie", but this far down the line, Viv needs to ask her storyboarders to keep characters on-model (the model sheets are bad anyway) and her cleanup artists to keep rough artist lines intact. I remember seeing Gregzilla having whole lines and details erased from his roughs after being completed.

Her shows are in seasons 2 and 3. Hiccups in production should be smoothed over by now. She can't keep something as simple as the goddamn characters consistently looking like themselves.
Aren't artist teams supposed to improve as a show progresses? Communication getting better, artists finding efficient workflows etc.

Spindlehorse is kinda shit.

Let me give you the simple answer for that: huge turnover rate. They've recently asked for a a lead storyboard artist and storyboard artists to hire. Freelance mind you. Which means these people are probably not going to stay till the end.
