Coming back to this thread to see Ozzie slander is the right amount of schadenfreude I needed this morning. Surprised he's not talked about much in here. Don't blame anyone, he's pretty forgettable since he's a heavy contradiction of the sin he's meant to represent (like with most of the deadly sins in the series). He's a downright worse offender of it more than Lucifer and Beelzebub combined.

Subverts, my dislocated knee. Why exactly is there an Ethical Gooner™ as a deadly sin? Just make him into your typical smooth-talking demon guy; leagues more fitting than making him a deadly sin. He's incredibly unqualified to be one if he can't even commit to the most basic parts of it.

Ironically, if the show were playing with actual sexual ethics, I think you could make a case that the premier entity over lust might well consider seduction to be more useful than rape. Assuming it was willing to grant the Christian idea that you shouldn't fuck outside of marriage, getting someone to sin by seducing them and making them a willing participant that you can hopefully drag to hell later is a much wiser plan.

Granted, given how this show writes sex, there is no way in hell that they go that path.

Honestly, they could solve this conundrum, at least for Ozzy, just by having him laugh at any outrage and daring anyone to do anything about it. With him, who’s going to take time out of their day to punish him for fucking something? There are probably only 6 people in Hell as powerful as him, and who knows what a clash between sins looks like. Likely would cause more damage trying to stop him, than from just letting him screw an imp. Besides, he’s the sin of lust. Fizz likely isn’t the worst/embarrassing thing he’s stuck his dick in.

Now for Stolas, it really is weird because he’s part of an aristocratic clan. Two of the most rigid structures there are. The fact he was not stripped of his title sooner is shocking.

Edit: i was wondering how someone dating hellhounds is related to high caste, then I remembered Bee is a thing. I forgot she existed, she is that forgettable of a character.
 
Applying logic and well-thought out plot-consistency to enshrined lore is a failing gambit when the show(s) and the writer were the embodiment of the Tumblr Sparkledog OC and that site's culture of rallying against evil shitlordery.
 
I am afraid I will be unable to properly transcribe this concept into words but I will try anyway:

In Vivziepop shows homosexuals are of great importance, but so are parents. This is strange since one is essentially the antithesis of the other. The latter produces children, but the former cannot. Both Blitz and Stolas had, supposedly, poor fathers, but excellent mothers. Now Stolas already did the deed with a 10/10 queen (God bless Stella), but Blitz only has a teenage mutt he adopted on a whim.* Would Blitz's mother approve of her son ending their bloodline with a pompous cheat. Seems like a poor manner to repay your mother's kindness?

HH also features this happening with Charlie and Vaggie. A genetic dead end in a monarchy is an inevitable disaster. No clear heir means strife and possibly civil war. Lucy had better get his wife to pop out another kid quick!

In summation, Vivziepop believes parenthood is only a vessel to produce homosexuals.

If blitz was... I dunno... A person that has fallen to disgrace after a long series of poorly planned choices, like the leader of a small band of robbers or maybe even a relatively big shot, then if we assume imp couple joined only after the assassination group came to be, then it would make sense that the dog would be the last former employer to stick with her owner, scrap this half-assed daughter-dad relationship, since it never fucking worked, and replace it with a dog-owner relationship that doesn't feel unbalanced, blitzo never really treated Loona like anything more than ab enployer or a bodyguard before, was always an asshole to everyone who deserved to lose everything, and yet Loona decided to stick with him, less because of obligation, and more because of pity, as losing everything caused his insufferable persona to shatter, revealing a pathetic man who fears to be alone.

I doubt Viv's thought about it that much, but I'd say it's because Blitz is terrified of dying alone and wanted someone to be there when he got old.

I think that's the implication. When he was at the pound he was shown that real ugly fucker and said no, he wants something more "family friendly". I've always taken that line as implying he wanted someone to be the front-facing part of the business. He only went with Loona because he felt bad about her situation.

I'm hoping S3 will get a Loona backstory episode.

I wouldn't doubt it. She was in the pound and clearly traumatized by her childhood, so obviously her parents fucked up somewhere and I'm sure she'll be the next entry into the Bad Dad Club that basically the entire rest of the series is in.
 
So, they made more merch. There was merch for the last short because they always make new merch when one comes out, but they also have merch because it's the year of the horse. One of them has the IMP crew and Stolas as actual horses...and yeah it looks as cringe as it sounds.

Who is actually buying all this shit? Even the most dedicated fans should be getting tired of this. And you know the Bigfoot short coming out Saturday is going to have it's own merch run. It's one thing if you buy some merch for the holidays, or it's some year anniversary, or even a damn episode. But this is getting beyond ridiculous.

And you can't make the reason that the show needs the audience's money to keep running anymore. They have Amazon's money now.

Yeah tell this to the hellaverse fans online that actually type long ass theory threads about stuff like why Lucifer can harm angels but not sinners because they believe that there is actually consistent world building behind the show.

It really feels like randomly coming across a community of Sonichu fans that spend their free time trying to explain all the inconsistencies of the comic away because they believe that ChrisChan is a capable author.
