You know the funny thing with Charlie is how useless she really is.
I mean she doesn't manages to convince heaven of redemption in season 1 (though since heaven has apparently no say about what happens with souls I'm retroactively not sure what that exactly that was about), she doesn't manages to defeat Adam and needs her dad instead, Pentious more or less redeems himself by commiting suicide without her help, she doesn't manages to convince the people that Vox is bad because the later just conveniently starts blowing random houses up instead, she doesn't helps Alastor, Emily does (whether or not that was a good idea in the first place), and Emily also starts the care beam stare song so Charlie didn't even bring the Overlords together.
Not even the show itself can pretend that Charlie is capable of archieving any of her goals on her own.
I've always thought it would have been an interesting idea to see different types of denominations represented in Heaven - Christianity itself is a religion with billions of followers all over Earth, and each country has its own seperate traditions and culture regarding that. For example, it would have been quite a neat idea for Emily and Sera, who are apparently "black-coded" to have some design elements taken from Ethiopian Orthodox Christianity, as Ethiopia is one of the oldest Christian nations in the world.
I mean if you really want to add stuff from different cultures there is a lot to possibly choose from. Many cultures had some version of heaven or hell with ideas that could fit into a more christian version of heaven.
For example chinese folklore has a system where deceased people can become gods, which actually has some similarities with certain believes in abrahamistic believes, like the apocryphal third book of Enoch that mentions Enoch becoming the archangel Metatron.
I mostly mention that since it would make sense for heaven to have a similiar system to overlords in hell, but with high positions being specificially bestowed to certain individuals as official positions and not archieved trough machiavellian power struggles (or how exactly that works in hell).
I mean the series seems to have something like that with Adam and Able being archangels, but here it looks like it's mostly nepotism or something.
And I mean the entire government structure of heaven seems to just consist of a single leader that is out of her depth.
