Helldivers 2 - Hell is more diverse than ever as PlayStation's demographics continue to grow and change.

I'm getting a lot of random network disconnect issues today, no arc/electric weapons involved.

Thought I might share some useful info for the Kiwis. Game is popular so there are a lot of shitty content whores making bad videos for the game so I wanted to provide some actually useful content.

This post goes into detail on how the spawn system actually works:

This guy goes into stealth mechanics, advice is useful but he is also a subhuman Vtuber:

Good video on the laser weapons:

@Sicko Hunter

There really is zero room for subtlety in modern writing. Like I get it the FREEDOM DEMOCRACY LIBERTY shit is supposed to be over the top it's parodying post 9/11 Bush era America but I just find it not that funny. It's more annoying then anything to me. Knowing the developers were Swedish just paints the image of some smug faggot named Sven chuckling to themselves about dumb Americans.

Its actually meant to be a parody of Starship Troopers. The joke is that in the future they live in a fascist dictatorship that masquerades as a democracy. Its meant to be over the top and tongue in cheek. It has become a bit overdone with the memes but I'm fine with people roleplaying fascists even if its just a joke.

Then you take it and make it your own while calling them a cuck the whole time. A bunch of frenchmen made this song and it became the song of the right during the Summer of Love. Just enjoy it and laugh at them making what they had sound/be cool.

Really good job here taking a 40K set and making it a group of Helldivers.

Like I said in my post I'm aware it's supposed to be over the top and that that's the joke I just don't find it funny. That being said I like the game enough it doesn't really matter. I still enjoy it even if the game refuses to let you go 5 minutes without hammering the joke into your head.

It kind of makes sense in-game, though. See, there's no such thing as a veteran Helldiver. The life of a Helldiver is a recruit who makes it through a short obstacle course, gets slammed into cold storage, and gets airdropped into near-certain death after the most recent meat puppet dies. On the outside chance that he's the one who manages to survive, he needs to have his emotions kept high long enough to spend his time improving the ship before getting launched into the next mission - and the first Helldiver in a mission never comes back. The propaganda needs to be a constant stream because basically no Helldiver survives more than about 30 minutes after thawing, and they need to keep his morale up.

What if they're dead before they even land? With the way that each soldier can easily continue on exactly how the last was, wouldn't that imply that their memories are being continually backed up to the ship and overwrite the memories of the latest meat puppet?

Nah, I don't think there's any kind of brain wipe or chip implant. Having new recruit disorientation be a feature of every single reinforcement drop just would be annoying gameplay.

Honestly I bet the lore is that's actually the case, but that's a deep state secret that recruits only find out (or don't) when they deploy.

With the latest major order almost being completed they seem to have bumped up the spawn rate for bugs quite a bit. My last drop with a buddy on hellmire had me go through almost a dozen full Stalwart magazines. God it feels good to mow shit down in this game.

Dropped right next to an unmarked flying bug nest in Hellmire today. couldn't even call down any support weapons with the amount of enemies. it also gave me flashbacks...

Funny enough the flying enemies are making a great case for the SG-225IE Breaker Incendiary getting useful. All it takes is one pellet to hit a flying Termind and it will burn to death.

Spend 15 minutes looking for a good match, keep getting cucked by joining into games that the host leaves instantly, infinite loading screens, etc..
Finally, get a match, 4 people, good mission type, mission starts.

Instantly get divebombed by a shrieker as soon as I get out of the pod, die in one hit, game crashes.
I'll uh, I'll wait for the fix for that, thanks.
