Did they nerf the eruptor? I didn't see word about it anywhere. Day 1 it was godly. Played it recently and it felt like the explosions were ridiculously nerfed.

Why are they just spamming generic orders now?

Because Joel knew the Helldiver Monkeys couldn't complete the Defense Order

Mostly because the defense campaign includes the scientist rescue missions which are fucking broken.
The %s are busted too. Every planet decays at an insane rate naturally and they decay even more based on total pop numbers- not the numbers of people on the planets.

Need like 80-100k per planet to make sure not to lose it in the tiny timeframe they give you.(Also you need to complete a whole operation for credit and those missions are total ass)

The other issue is that the playerbase largely doesn't understand how the supply lines work, which is the path that the playerbase and enemy factions have to take from planet-to-planet for invading. At the start of this order, if everyone dogpiled on Martale and Matar Bay, they would have locked those planets down while blocking the bot's advance on the entire western front. Instead now we have to go on a liberation campaign for 3 planets over there.

I haven't noticed anything, I'm still able to kill groups of small enemies with a well placed shot, and if I account for bullet drop and travel time I can still oneshot medium sized enemies. I still blow myself up if an enemy gets to close and I take a potshot.

I wish the Dominator round would explode on impact... Or slight delay.

But I love that gun just the same.

And my heavy Dynamo armor.

I can't find reason to change armor or primary.

It isnt natural, every non defense planet is currently being buffered and no progress is allowed to be made. Theyve been doing this shit for months now. The community can only take planets the devs allow them to take and additionally at a predetermined rate. And currently there are no planets they are allowing us to take, the script says we lose so we lose.

The last major patch heavily buffed it but I only unlocked it a couple days before the buff so I don't have that good a grasp of how it performed before compared to now. If there was a ninja nerf, I think it'd have been brought up but who knows.

I'm still holding out for Super Earth's equivalent of a bolter. The Eruptor is kind of like a bolt rifle but I could go for something a bit more agile.

We're scripted to lose this defense order even if the community wasn't a bunch of monkeys. 10 planets with 6 days is a big ask. I guess the idea is that it gives them breathing room for the bots. Terminids are about where they've been for the past few months since the TCS came online. It's been an endless slog over Oshaune and Fori Prime back and forth.

Their real gambit is to distract while the Valdis sector with Cyberstan stays protected so they can hopefully make something cool (like actual cyborgs)

ETA: inb4 they recycle the TCS towers mission with a like automaton frequency jammer and that's our new big crazy update and order. No cyborg enemies. No vehicles.

I thought it was 4 days, when the order first hit i seen 10 planets and at that moment there were zero planets defendable and i automatically just wrote it off as a lose for story purposes order.

I've seen a lot of people (justifiably) complaining that the railgun got nerfed too hard etc but I'm worried that instead of fixing the railgun, Arrowhead is just gonna say "fuck y'all" and nerf the current good load outs. "No child, a highly charged explosive laser projectile should not be able to kill a charger in 2 shots, enjoy recharging that thing 5-6 times for one kill now".

They have really fucked up the railgun and the arc thrower to an extent in the quest for "balance" in a PvE game, while simultaneously adding even more challenging enemies (striders) and turning up tbe number of the mid tier enemies (chargers).
