See, not that hard to make a good patch. I hope they fired the faggot who said the flame mechanic was irreversible, he was completely wrong.

You can drop a bile titan with one thermite to the face on any difficulty. Chargers AND Bile Titans get BTFO with a recoilless rifle to the face. Railgun is back to release-era levels of good. Flamethrower has been fixed and is great (still doesn't melt chargers with the leg trick but I'll take what I can get). Torcher is good and Crisper is alright, and the Dagger has went from dogshit-tier to one of the best sidearms. Spray n' Pray is basically the hunter genocider, but still stinks against medium armor targets.
 
Just had a ton of fun wiping out big bastards with RR, AMR and Flame Weapons, and the Grenade Launcher gets an extra strip of grenades. Woo. We're back to feeling like a One Man Army, which makes sense given we're each provided a fucking spaceship/orbital weapons platform of our own.
 
Nice, the fucking railgun is back. Time to reinstall and grind some super credits for the couple of warbonds I've missed.

Reading through the patchnotes, while I'm withholding judgment on the gas strike changes until we see what they've got cooked up, why the heck would one just not use the smoke strike now? I'm still in favor of making the gas flammable.

Best change is the gas. It does less damage overall now but it makes the enemies blind, go psycho and start attacking the other enemies.

Very entertaining to watch Berserkers start chopping down all the grunt bots, and chargers trample the lesser bugs.

You can still throw it on a bug breach and have the same effect as before too.

Crossbow is an actual AOE weapon again. I never played with the OP shrapnel, but now I understand why people were so adamant about the Eruptor. Every shot being the equivalent of a frag grenade is awesome. My only complaint is they didn't fix the Purifier. But any update where the only thing people can complain about is that they didn't do more is what this game needs right now.

Just a couple more buffs/reworks to weapons like the Slugger and Purifier, and I'd be completely happy to have the next patch dedicated entirely to optimization. My frames drop in half sometimes and I very rarely get brief half-second freezes, and my CPU gets too hot for my liking.
 
Patch is great, but what the fuck happened to the Bot Extermination mission task? Granted I was playing on difficulty 5 and 6 but both sessions (one with 4 players, the other just two) enemies barely spawned, we nearly ran out of time because of it. It seemed like a dropship would come in every like 30 seconds to a minute. I'm gonna try it out on higher difficulties but this just doesn't seem right at all. Is it the same on Bug missions?
 
If you're a bot diver, I thoroughly recommend you try out the diligence counter sniper or the scythe. Landing headshots with them is immensely satisfying.
 
Hey Kiwis I heard the game doesn't suck now after the latest patch. I played the game for a few months but quit after it started going down hill. Friend told me to pick it up again, any major changes from how the game was playing around the time the devs started pissing on the fanbase I should know about?

Bot Fabricators have health now, meaning you can shoot at it with any armor piercing weapon and do damage. You can take them down with EATs, Commandos, SPEARs (you could do this since launch but it's easier now because they fixed the lock-on). Pretty much everything has had its armor nerfed, so a decent shot with a stratagem weapon can take shit down pretty easily.
 
Am I missing something about the gas launcher? It just seems worse than the flamethrower in every way for the bug front. Is it something that works better on the bot front?
