I think the controversy surrounding the crossover is a two-fold problem that AH has been trying to ignore and hope it goes away. So of course it blows up in their face when they really really don't want it to i.e. right after the game sees a surge of popularity and goodwill because of a good update.

1. AH has been giving less for more in terms of premium content. The only warbond they've released in the past few months with enough content to justify being 1000 sc is the new urban one. Warbond inflation bullshit pisses off both people who pay and people who grind.
2. The superstore is shit. It's a bad system that people didn't bother to complain about because warbonds had most of the actual content. When the only thing locked behind it was gear with slight stat variations of other armors or just cosmetics nobody cared. The stun baton was already more than what a lot of people could tolerate and then they do this.

So you have overpriced shit being distributed through a system people can only really tolerate when it doesn't have anything of value locked behind it. Now a bunch minor complaints that have been cooking for a while align and the community is on fire. I don't know how to feel about the whole thing personally. I don't want to grind for a killzone warbond, I'm only really interested in the sniper rifle that's coming next week. I mainly just hope they start pricing warbonds fairly again because the same price for half the content is bullshit and I'm pissed the community didn't raise that much of a fuss when they started that shit with the jungle warbond.

bro there's games that literally would put this behind months of grinding, you can grind 1000sc in less than a day (like 4 hours of playtime) legit, if you know what you're doing. I prefer being able to earn my currency in game without having to spend money. At least it's not like warframe. It gives you a reason to keep playing, to unlock new warbonds and shit, if you just got everything easily what would be the reason of playing other than haha i kill bot and bug and what do I get out of it? uhh :coom:

You're not wrong man. I'm just saying that the community has an expectation of fairness for the premium stuff that's kind of being eroded over time and that this controversy is the result. The game hasn't suddenly turned into Warframe, people are pissed because they can tell that over time they are getting less stuff for more effort and it wasn't always like this. If the old content schedule and pricing was unsustainable for AH, they should have just said so. Since they haven't really said anything to that end, people just assume that it's a slippery slope of greed.

The cost itself doesn't actually bother me because most crossover skins in games float around the $20 range same as this BUT its slimier to me that leaked promo material showed it as a normal warbond, probably costing 1500-2000 SC but someone made the decision to pull the rug on that and charge twice as much.

I can't even blame Sony with the concord tax...

Been looking for this mod but for samples, I need that version desperately.
 
I'm perfectly cool with the idea of more crossover content. Just make it completely exclusive to evil or evil looking sci fi factions. Like The empire from star wars or the Warhammer imperium. Honestly you don't really have to go that far for decent dlc.

They could just bring over the bad guys from Jak 2 and other PS sci fi properties.

I like the approach of just pretending all this gear comes from super earth and isn't from another IP. Kinda like super robot wars in a way.

I am somewhat annoyed the strat for the missile pod gun is not permanent.
