OP, if you can DM me your home health agency and first name, I can reach out to them.

I've dealt with patients before in this situation due to the nature of my job, and while it could be a LARP, it could be legit, home health agencies are understaffed and not showing up for work is common these days. I'd rather err on the side of caution just to be safe. Besides, I don't have anything better to do right now.

In fact I'd put good money on him simply being moderately schizo and out of cigarettes, which to be fair is a basic life necessity for any mental patient.
