At least out where I live, if you call the cops and the cops see you're having a mental crisis, most of the time, they won't just leave you there. However, I've dealt with some lazy cops before that will see a mental crisis, and as long as the patient isn't about to die, the cops won't do shit and will claim the patient is fine enough to not need help, and just leave them there to get worse. OP could be just wanting attention but he could be telling the truth that he called the police earlier and they declared he was "fine" even though he has altered mental status.
