Company men didn't tell the artists to make Mary Jane look like the lead writer.
Executives, managers, and directors approved it.
Neil Druckmann is a dev, not a company man.
Neil Druckmann was a creative director up through 2018. He approved shit. He became VP of the studio in 2018, again approving shit. He became co-president of the studio in 2020, again approving shit. He was a creative head in 2024, again approving shit. Nothing at Naughty Dog from most of the past decade including up through today gets out of that studio without Neil Druckmann's approval. You're right, he's not a company man. He's a soy faggot elevated to his position by his predecessors leaving, which is exactly what I said. If Neil Druckmann decided that Naughty Dog would no longer hire danger hair gender special retards, he could make that decision tomorrow and have it implemented(since all you've got to do with these people is tell them "sorry, but we're looking at other options for the position" and never state why.
The underlings are not some sort of automaton without free will. The successes and failures of a team are principally attributed to the leader, yes, but the individual members get their share of the praise.
I never said they were automatons. But the decisions of the underlings when it comes to gameplay elements, art styles, and shit like that do not get implemented without approval from above. If management doesn't approve, it gets rejected. If the employees continue producing shit that gets rejected, you replace them for failing to do their work.
I'm sure you have no problem with devs putting games on their résumés to make them look better to prospective employers, and you ought to realize that it goes both ways. You might ask what kind of blame do they deserve? Well, the answer is pretty simple, either they didn't know the game was bad and so they can be excused, or they knew but they wanted to keep their job, or they were okay with the state of the game. Ignorance is not plausible for any members of the dev team. Wanting to keep their job is fairly likely, but game dev is a job that people take for creative fulfillment, so staying with a bad company for this reason is not much of an excuse. If they were okay with the state of the game, then they have about as much blame as the leadership. The people who complain about the chuds on social media trashing their game fall into this last category, by the way.
Devs putting games on their resumes is not the same as devs with 15 flags on their bluesky profile screeching into the void about chuds. A normal human can accept that the final product is shit, take the paycheck, and move on. That doesn't mean they have to publicly state the game is shit and they knew it was shit, that would be idiotic.
The hiring of trannies, the approval of soy slop character designs, deciding on shitty gameplay elements, approving crap dialogue. This is all decision making that is driven from the top down. Not the bottom up. It's not any different in Hollywood either. If studio executives just said no to the faggotry, they could put a stop to it very quickly.
