The fact I dipped out seems smart because I hear they are remastering all those levels AGAIN for Hitman 3. Why the fuck did this need to be 3 separate games and not just addons or DLC?

Are they upgrading the engine and physics at all? I know when io first did hitman 2016 they did it episodically because they didn't have the cashflow yet to release a full on game.
but 2 games in they should be able to come up with new shit.

So wait this time progress actually Carrie's over?

Wow so playing Hitman 1 was a complete waste and not going balls to the wall in Hitman 2 was a mistake.

Oh well I guess.

The big issue is that for PC players, even though your progress will carryover, you still will need to purchase H2 on EGS to use the H2 content in H3. IOI is offering an "80% discount" on the H2 content for the first week of release, but it was still a very dick move to not let people know about this until just 1 week before the release.

Yeah, with that BS, I'm waiting until it gets out of EGS jail. I'm not buying the same game twice just to boost Epic's sales numbers.

Same. I liked Hitman 2 but after how much work I put into Hitman 1 for nothing to transfer over I barely did any of the elusive targets or other shit to level up, so I guess I'll just actually get all the shit in Hitman 2 over the next year or whatever it takes for it to go on Steam.

Good luck to anyone trying to carry over their progress from previous games into Hitman 3, the site for the carryover is shitting the bed.

edit: Jesus must like me because I got it to work.

I’m playing 3 on my Xbox after playing 1 & 2 on Steam, so I can’t carry stuff over anyway. The game servers kept crapping out on me though.

I made it through the first 2 missions of H3, and I have to say... doing the murder mystery was probably one of the coolest things I’ve done in this series. It really worked out great. And I’m pretty sure that if you ask Alexa Carlisle for the file as a reward the animation she uses to unlock the safe is actually accurate. I only found 2 of the 4 numbers but those 2 matched up.

also, the writing and the cutscenes so far are great. The series plot started slow in the first game, but now I feel like it’s basically turning into the Bourne Identity with how fast everything’s flying.

Just finished the Chongqing level and so far my favourite has been the Berlin nightclub where you have to hunt the agents that are also looking for you.

The start to the Berlin level made me feel like I was in a horror game. They've really been blowing it out of the park with the visuals and environments and I'm glad to see that the cutscenes are animated again, even if the quality isn't quite on part with the first game's. The murder mystery was a lot of fun and definitely was much more rewarding than usual challenges. I just wish they bothered to cast location-accurate voice actors like in 2. Felt really jarring to hear NPCs speak perfect British English at a Berlin nightclub or in the Chongqing slums.

So I finished the game and I’d still say my favourite mission was Berlin, but Argentina and Chongqing are definitely tied for second.

i played the pirated version of hitman 3. whats the point in them getting the deluxe edition of the game if you cant even access that content? cant do escalations, challenges, change your starting location, sniper mode, etc. it's just a full game demo if you pirate it. i'll probably buy it on ps4 when it goes on sale in a few weeks or months since that's where my saves for 1 and 2 are

I wish they didn’t pull a Blood Money and have Diana “betray” 47 again. It was a shock to 10 year old me back then but I saw it coming from a mile away now.

I got hitman 3, but I'm still working my way through the hitman 2 campaign.

I got my progress to carry over, but they made some odd choices like resetting story missions(even though it shows I did them in challenges).

Minor complaint and I'm looking forward to the third campaign. Looks like this trilogy has eclipsed "blood money" as the definitive Hitman experience...

What does everyone think of the new "7 sins" DLC coming out? Was pretty excited myself at the prospect but seems like they're just going to be gimmicky weapons and costumes unlocked by escalation missions.

Was really hoping some bonus missions would have been released instead, since escalations are utter fuckin shite.
