If you want a whitepill WOA II has the best map pool of the trilogy and III might be more interesting since it goes for a linear structure for a lot of its maps
This might be an unpopular opinion but the H2 maps are my least favorite.
H3 > H1 > H2
I love the H1 maps because of their simple layouts, beautiful aesthetics, memorable locales plus each map tries to do something different.
Meanwhile it feels like the H2 design philosophy was "Sequels need to be Bigger, because Bigger is Better right?"
Most H2 maps are insanely big for no reason, with very complicated layouts that honestly don't add much to the experience.
When i play an H2 map it feels like i spend 50% of the time just running towards the area where the target is. This never happened in H1 aside from a few moments in Marrakesh and Bangkok.
Most H2 maps also offer very little in terms of gimmicks, and so every map feels very formulaic and repetitive to me.
My favorite H2 maps are New York, Hawke's Bay and Isle of Sgail because they feel the most focused of the bunch instead of being big for the of being big.
The H3 maps are smaller than the H1 and H2 maps but they are literally the opposite of H2 so they are my favorite maps. Each H3 map is pretty small compared to what came before, but it feels like there's no wasted space anywhere, every area has a purpose and the backtracking is kept to a minimum thanks to the shortcut system.
Plus, the latter maps in H3 completely deconstruct the Hitman formula thanks to genius gimmicks and they also feel like a nice return to form. Berlin is the best map in the Trilogy imo and it's the only map that made me feel the same dangerous and dark atmosphere of the old era games (Silent Assassin and Contracts especially).
In short, the H2 maps feel like a chore for me to play sometimes... They are too big for their own good, and could have also used some more variety since there are no gimmicks (aside from the Kashmirian Kills in Mumbai i guess?) unlike H1/H3 maps.
