you're supposed to get into shootouts with the guards and kill everyone
I did this for the Patient Zero's final mission, got everyone infected and massacred them all. Only downside is the time it takes to set up as you need to infect yourself to get the disease to the civilian side of the map and make it back in time to cure yourself.

While I don't hate the current suspicion system, it just feels far more restrictive than the old one. Silent Assassin's guards are a bit too psychic and buggy for my liking, and some missions in Contracts have this issue too. Deadly Cargo has such a cool setup, with all the permutations that can happen, but the SWAT instantly knowing it was you when you kill Boris is dumb and breaks the brilliant tension of the disguise system. If and when we get a new Hitman, I hope they 'd model it after the old games, just refine out the psychic hive mind stuff where it doesn't make sense.. It would open up more randomness, which you typically want to avoid in the new Hitman, since unlike Blood Money, when your route doesn't go exactly to plan, you kinda have to restart, but it would make the gameplay so much more dynamic.
From what I've seen, the Bond game is angling toward espionage, so with a little luck we might see something interesting with the system in there.

My least favorite part about SA disguises is that the very first opportunity you get to try them out, all the bad guys are mafiosi and all know each other, so the easiest-to-obtain disguise will only work at extreme distances. It makes sense but is still annoying for the very first mission.

Speaking of Silent Assassin, I read that it's impossible to finish the game with Silent Assassin rank overall because the main villain is a civilian, not a target. Can anyone confirm this? I want to pick it up again and beat it for the first time, but if this is true I might just say "fuck it" and play Japan as it was meant to be (kill everyone with the crossbow). Japan killed my first playthrough.

around 2:08 in each reupload where the video says something not entirely true.

"refine your approach as you advance across 20 mastery tiers PER level."

not exactly false advertising, since I don't think the wording is specific enough to really pin it as a lie, but I can't be the only one who would interpret this as 6 full sandboxes.

not that it's the biggest deal in the world, and at this point it's 4 years in, and we have Ambrose. Especially since it's just this one trailer, and nobody seems to think they were promised otherwise. Only that they expected it based off the previous 2 games.
yea it felt kinda shitty to advertise it as a six level game is my take on it, Hitman 2 had four 20 level missions and one 15 level and it still worked because all of those were high quality. i felt 3 shouldve said "this is five levels and an epilogue" at the start. sure Ambrose made up for it, unpopular opinion but i like that stage, but you could feel that Hitman 3 stages had the Hitman 2 DLC budget whereas Hitman 2's main stages had the Squeenix money

No, it’s not true. I’ve still got the save file somewhere—old PS2 memory card, still holding onto that Silent assassin rank like it’s some kind of prize. I have to really dig deep in my mind to recall the details, though, because it’s been so long, and getting that rank was such a grueling slog on professional difficulty that it feels like a distant nightmare.:stress:

I’m pretty sure you’re allowed to kill two henchmen per level without taking a penalty. Wait, no—scratch that. It’s one, right? No, definitely one. Anyway, everyone else on the map counts as a target, and you can off Sergei without any trouble. He’s just a henchman, no penalty.

I have only just now realised the godly potential of the banana in WOA. Why it took this long I can not say. Just a free knockout that causes no suspicion even if everyone watches you placing it on the ground in front of someone. The banana on 47s kitchen table in Freelancer mode is essentially a free pass for the courier side objectives.

its so dumb they sell 1 seperately but not 2 ot 3 and still consider the hitman 2 dlc as bonus when they directly connect 2 to 3. if you dont play new york and haven youll miss crucial plot points going into 3.

Theres no upgrade option for people who get 1 or 1+2

This is how I would do it: just have a bundle for the complete version of every game, for people who already own 1 or 2 or 3 and want the rest, with a complete edition that gets you everything and include Sapienza, Hawkes Bay and Dubai for free in the Demo

Also I'd highly recommend that site, again, because it's surprisingly fun. You can add your own images and text so you can make funny images of fake edition graphics of any game. Even fake ones

Freelancer level 50 get.

I've just switched to hardcore syndicates, and let me say hardcore showdowns on Chongqing are absolute and utter ass, you barely have room to breathe down in the faciliry section. I had 9 suspects in total, 7 of them in the facility crammed wall to wall with their army of lookouts and assassins. I got lucky in that the first guy I checked after trying the secret hatch entrance (after many fails and restarts using other entrances) was the real tatget so I was able to collateral snipe him from the vents (collateral was the prestige objective). I got spotted in the process, however the guards can't reach you in the vents, instead they somehow constantly know exactly where you are until you leave to somewhere they can reach, then they path to that point, check it, and only THEN after not finding you there do they actually "lose" you and you become "Hunted" instead of in "Combat".

All of this along with the fact I couldn't bring my briefcase back up the ladder meant I now had to carry my super expensive and illegal legendary Leviathan sniper in my hands as I ran from cover to cover through the streets, trying to avoid being spotted by civs as much as I could, all while the Combat music is still playing and every guard in the facility is now pathing to my current location. It was intense to say the least. The convergence of a botched getaway and a bug made for quite the unique and terrifying experience.

EDIT: A small PSA if you are also this retarded: It took me an embarrassingly long time to notice that killing non-targets on a showdown costs 1000 merces each. I lost a lot of money.

I feel the same about Dartmoor in Hardcore Showdowns. I love Dartmoor, I think in terms of navigation it's a masterpiece but in terms of real estate especially on that top floor you've got nowhere to go. Like in terms of climbing that top floor has four different ways to get up and down and then each way to get down has at least two or three ways to get there, that is when you're climbing about, but when you're actually walking around that small floor and can't use those methods because you have to observe targets or are lugging around a ton of items like oil cans and briefcases it becomes so cramped because there will be four suspects, two lookouts and three assassins along with Alexa and her bodyguard who are enforces who are all squeezed into that tiny space. It's worse than Chongqing and Hokkaido hardcore in that regard

I lost the very last showdown of a hardcore run in Whittleton Creek because of precisely this. Large maps are much better suited for showdowns because they provide significantly more breathing room.

I almost had that bruiser suit... maybe one day...

I've taken to always bringing either a silenced machine pistol or sniper on hardcore contracts, no matter what the mission. There's too many situations in freelancer where the ideal non-lethal SA approach just won't work, not without some serious ground breaking autism. You  need the ability to murder many guards quietly and quickly, just in case.

Speaking of snipers, I really wish some of them weren't automatically much shittier than the others purely because of the long animations when removing them from or replacing them back in to briefcases. The challenge for 100 Druzhina kills is a royal pain in the ass because of this.

kotti's got a new vid out

the VR update came out and leakers found more items:

New items leaked in the files

No patch notes or roadmap because that jeet @combatglue is useless

New patch introduced a game-breaking bug and that useless jeet combatglue has ghosted the Hitman Forum, leading them to pin a post shittalking him

also he's do busy going on this app to even respond to anyone asking him to do his job lol

the dude doesnt even play the game

Look, our dude has important CoalaTV posts to re-tweet, don’t you know? Samir has his hands full with the real bedrock of a Community Manager’s work.

This is unacceptable. @Combatglue, run it up to whoever is managing the Hitman unit: drop *all* work being done on the game that is not related to fixing things like this until it is fixed. This is beyond ridiculous at this point. They need to stop messing around with things we don’t care about and attend to the actual problems with the game.

Same here and I’m kinda sad we’ve returned to this quarterly roadmap schedule where patches only come every 3-4 months or so…

Which is especially frustrating when we have completely new modes like PSVR2 that apparently have their own issues, bugs and stuff *that would be great to have fixed/improved sooner than later* to not hurt the first impressions of the mode.
(Or other issues in the main Flat game possibly *caused* by the PSVR2 update/changes…?)

[r/PSVR: Hitman PSVR2 Issues that need to be addressed. - Reddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/PSVR/s/1b1ejRauAU)

Already the PSVR community :up_arrow: is coming together to discuss the game and its shortcomings compared to other VR titles/hybrid games and bugs that have appeared so far. But I hope some of this can be fixed in a Playstation patch before June!
@Combatglue

Already, its a great VR mode built upon a stellar game, so it’s awesome to see so much hype and support for it. I just hope there can be some much-needed fixes for it, especially if this same mode’s improvements might jump back to PC again at some point!

Looks like we need to revive this again

As of the newest patch a set of bugs with the ancestral and splitter weapons has led to being unable to progress in Freelancer, meaning the new patch has added a softlock. Unfortunately @combatglue, the only active IOI employee has been gone for a few days now

It’s part of the Job when you’re essentially the face of PR, but this is a given for any PR Job even if undesirables give feedback that isn’t constructive.

Do I agree with how IO has been doing their PR? No, but that’s cause there’s issues with the game that continue to persist into new builds that haven’t been addressed.

While this is one of the issues I have, we’ve also seen a drop in quality when it comes to the Patch Notes, where they’ve become blatantly misleading in some circumstances.

IO should implement a Trello Board for their games for one. For people who don’t know Trello is essentially another way to give information to the community by allowing us to see what bugs they’re investigating, working on fixing, and lastly have a planned fix for. The community having something like this to view is simply another form of communication that shows if IO is aware of the issues and if they will be fixed.

I also think IO should going forward have “Creator Calls “ where they select a group of people apart of this community to distribute information, but also answer questions said creators who make HITMAN and by extension IOI game content that they may have. After these creator calls then said creators can distribute this information on whatever platform that may be.

Lastly, I think IO should look into making a community group that sends out periodically surveys so they can gather information. They can use IOI accounts that we all have and by extension for people enrolled in this who do these surveys can work towards HITMAN Unlock Rewards that are simple reskins to incentivize giving this information to IO.

My point with this is while this Forum is great for getting information, it’s also very dense and there’s a lot to read to get stuff that is constructive to where it’s hard to gather said information in a streamlined fashion. IO implementing these things to improve PR and by extension their relationship between studio and community is something I want.

Hopefully this is taken into consideration by the team over there especially if these multiplayer live service titles are in the future.
