They quite literally are. Someone just got fired for liking the game and looking forward to it. They're honestly betting a lot on it failing because they're trying to do their own version of 'get woke go broke', except its the #1 game on Steam and probably will sell crazy. Never spent a second on Resetera but the /r/Games thread was pretty staid. Just like, yes, this is a highly anticipated game of one of the most popular IPs in the world, of course there are a lot of preorders.

There were a handful of troons yelling about How Dare You Support The Transphobe but they weren't paid much attention. Most of the seething was around preordering as a concept, which honestly I can't bring myself to care about. It's just video games.

I like the Harry Potter IP (yes, I have read other books). This seems to be the game I've always wanted from the franchise. The troon seething is just icing on the cake.
