Hogwarts Legacy is shaping to be the franchise’s ultimate video game realization, and fans worldwide look forward to the release. The game is less than a month away and is already a massive success on Steam.

The popular PC platform is home to titles like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Fifa 23. Despite these big games, Hogwarts Legacy is currently at the top spot on Steam’s best-selling games.

This list does not include free-to-play games like CS: GO and Apex Legends. When considering games that need to be purchased, Hogwarts Legacy has pulled ahead of several prevalent games.

While the game is set to release on February 10, 2023, fans can also pre-order the game’s deluxe edition for early access. The early access period begins on February 7, giving deluxe edition owners a three-day head start. Hogwarts Legacy is also available on the Epic Games Store, with a similar early access period.

Hogwarts Legacy promises a unique experience for Harry Potter enthusiasts. The franchise has not seen a major game release for many years, but Hogwarts Legacy aims to change that with a fresh AAA release.

Fans can take on the role of their custom character as they explore the Harry Potter universe. The game includes a vast open world to explore and skills like spells and potion crafting.

PlayStation owners can also enjoy exclusive content that will not be available elsewhere for a whole year. This includes the Hunted Hogsmeade Shop, which comes with the Shopkeeper’s Cosmic set, an extra dungeon, and more.

2023 is packed with exciting releases, and Avalanche Software’s Harry Potter game will be just one of the many exhilarating games this year.

The Steam platform has also seen considerable growth in 2023. It recently saw over 32 million concurrent users, and Hogwarts Legacy appears to have captured a significant chunk of this audience.

And this is all ignoring that the motivation to play this game comes from a nostalgic fantasy of running around Hogwarts and discovering secrets, not from wanting to experience the ending of some grand story. Only a retard (or someone who never cared for Harry Potter in its heyday) wouldn't understand that.

Yes, and it was predictably removed by NexusMods because the mod author had said "this mod makes the game safe for children" lmao. It's not a great fix, but it's as good as it gets, at least.

That archive has it defaulted to UNLOCK EVERYTHING (except for the Hogsmead Questline) but you can play around with the ini file - some DLC might not work correctly unless you actually own them eg the Digital Deluxe items
I've disabled the Hogsmead unlock in the download by default since everyone is saying it can cause issues - if you want to play around with it just edit the ini to remove the semi-colon and re-enable it again, specifically from the beginning of this line here:
;1880835 = Store_03_Sony

INSTALLATION: Before you unpack the files go to:
\Hogwarts Legacy\Engine\Binaries\ThirdParty\Steamworks\Steamv154\Win64\
And rename the file you find there to add an _o to it eg:
steam_api64_o.dll
THEN extract the .rar contents into your Hogwarts Legacy installation folder - if done correctly there shouldn't be any warning about overwriting existing files
Previously I had included my personal _o file, but going forward you WILL have to worry about this step if you ever verify the game files because Steam WILL replace the steam_api64.dll and/or steam_api.dll
If there is a \Hogwarts Legacy\ folder INSIDE your \Hogwarts Legacy\ folder then you unpacked the files - the not right way ; you need to MERGE folders, not nest them inside each other

Boy, they're really going all in with that imaginary Jewish massacre of 1612. Apaprently, even though nothing happened that particular year, it "prestaged" a massacre that happened a couple years later or so. Call me bold, but if I were going to dogwhistle antisemites, I would be much more open about it and use an actual example in my game.

I can't think of a better example of why the activist crowd, and troons in particular, should be either completely ignored by studios, or actively antagonized.

It's impossible to please them. Their pastime-- their whole identity really-- is accusing people of bigotry and claiming to be oppressed. Their own friends and family will be denounced as well, given a little time.

On the other hand, practically everyone is disgusted by troons and likes making fun of them. Make a knot tying game called, "Join the 41%" and it'll out-sell all that trans shit they're selling in a package to protest Hogwarts Legacy.
