Chamber of Secrets for PC is my personal favorite, just look at these environments: 755645-harry-potter-and-the-chamber-of-secrets-windows-screenshot.png
couldn't get into console versions because garbage platforming and fucking spell rhythmic games

That one was good too but my boomer parents didn't have a good enough computer to play it on back then so I could only play at my cousins house.

Warner Bros is clearly run by retards, between never making any more games of their IPs after the arkham trilogy and this game not just being an updated version of how the HP games played during years 1-3 shows you how fucking stupid they really are.

the school was small enough that by the PS2 era it was already fully mapped out, so in a ps5 enviroment imagine all the time they'd have spent making a massive open world they instead spent on good gameplay or making sure the school felt like it had 200+ students going all over the place, beyond that there is the spells and minigames from the 7 years of vidya that they could just bring back all in one big game.

But they won't, we all know that behind the scenes there is a demand for this to be a GoW/TLOU2-esque open world with a gritty feeling but toned down to T. you'll learn a half dozen spells at most, and it will basically just be a continuance of how the last 3 installments of HP games played out, the wand is just a stand in for a fucking gun.

Hell you'd think with how sports games are the only ones people give a fuck about, that they would have released a new quiditch game at some point in the last decade too, imagine with every new prequel film they had a different world cup installment, but instead just let that shit fall by the wayside instead.

honestly just from the delays and lack of even a gameplay trailer at this point this feels like it'll be as much of a fucking flop as Atomic Heart.

Watched it. Far too many niggers, and paki's for a game set in the 1800's. But other than that looks pretty neat. The combat looks very 'meh'. But the visuals are very nice; and they seem to be going entirely by book rather than the film. Did make me laugh that they have a customization option that amounts to 'what flavour of British middle class do you want to dress today?'.

Gameplay looks good, troons are seething on Twitter, all is right with the world.
I can't wait for it to release and cause more troon lamentation and gnashing of teeth. They'll all still buy the game anyway, and probably do some dumb shit like use a polyjuice potion to change from male to female just to really stick it to JK Rowling, as if she cares.

Now comes the fun part: Troon meltdowns. Reetardera is already intimidating and/or banning anyone who even hints at talking about the game.

The combat seems weak like the games based off the movie and that was average at best, but the exploration sounds great just like the troons fuming over the game.
I like the options available for combat, but it does seem a bit clunky doesn't it. Hopefully it flows better when you're actually playing the game. Otherwise besides those mobile phone-tier timers for the potions I can't see much to complain about. Looks pretty good.

Looks like it could be decent, the preview of Hogwarts and talk about how expansive and riddled with secrets makes me hopeful that they'll do the school justice as a location. Can't really get a good handle on the combat from the edited and contextless clips of it. We need some raw, unedited gameplay. How is Avada Kadavra going to either not be overpowered or be disappointing as all hell?

Also, if this game doesn't have Flipendo; instant 0/10.

I'm hoping for Depulso, Flipendo, and the spell that turns peoples heads into Pumpkins. Classics. They're gonna fuck up the killing curse though.

i can see it being one of those bullshit weapons you only get on the last level of the game, like the piece of eden in AC2R, or that science rife with high powered rounds in outer worlds, or the super sledge and fist glove in the first fallout, or the weapons the final boss carries in fallout NV/fallout 3,

you can't defend against it supposedly, but IIRC in the films or books or prequels you can basically just pull a rock in front of you to defend from it.

Oh god, looking through the comment section has been my first look at the Harry Potter fandom in a while. I forgot how pissed off people were that slavery and racism were part of the setting and weren't solved by the end of the series. How dare this game feature the Goblin rebellion as the antagonist!

And all the human antagonists look to be white people. Although, I guess that was the case with the books/movies as well.

I hope they include a way to botch transformations so you can turn yourself into a cat girl like Hermione did.

Twitter is so pissed about people still liking Harry Potter, I literally had to block the phrase “Harry Potter” just to stop seeing stupid takes.

And the fact that I had to even use it makes me want to delete my account.

Which is probably a good thing
