Just wait until you get further in and lots of character dialogue is about how great "she" is and how much "she" has helped. There's even a quest where you collect letters from a former pupil saying how much he helped "her" by immediately spotting that said pupil was different and helping him accept who he is - i.e. the bartender grooms a schoolboy into transitioning to female and this said pupil's letters say how this saved his life.

There's a mod out there that replaces the male voice with an AI generated female one. Strong recommend to install it if you don't want to be jarred out of your immersion every half hour.

I'm all for popular troons in games but reality is that troons do nothing for their fellow people let alone anyone not a troon themselves. "Yeah I volunteer and coach and teach, oh and I'm trans". Nah never

I heard about the mod but I'm on Xbox. Is any of that required to finish the main story?

Hope that rumour about live service shit in the sequel isn't true. Online elements are fine, but anything else would just be detrimental.

It's just side-quest stuff so you can not do the quest(s). Though you'll still run into background dialogue about the troon being so lovely and helpful and kind and so on...

So no, nothing should stop you completing the main questline that I recall, though it can be annoying not to be able to report him to the Ministry of Magic for child grooming. And there's no dialogue option for "why don't you go across the road to that hat shop where they can permanently alter your appearance and voice?"

We have another big brain moment from the geniuses at WB. "Let's just cancel all the shit related to our only successful product in years."

Kinda funny how the hogwarts legacy thread on /vg/ took all of a few weeks to turn into a bunch of 'cels, mostly female from what I can tell, ERPing or referencing a thread on another porn thread in which they ERP. Most of the male characters these 4channies have are edgy dudes played why thirsty women. If anything, 4chan is keeping the "psychotic women playing dollhouse with dudes to itch their yaoi thirst" trope alive.

I know the Wizarding World is globe encompassing, but I find the amount of Black students at Hogwarts and Hogsmead to be overrepresented.

Too many of the background NPCs are Black and I hope a mod comes out to change this. I understand some of the characters you meet being Black or NPCs, but for 1890's this is a ridiculous amount of Black people here.

There's one on the non-newtonian mod list (look for "More historically-accurate 1800's Hogwarts"), but nexus mods has removed way milder mods before, Paradox even removed mods for Stellaris that set humans to be only white. So those kinds of mods will stay undergroud until the culture changes.

My wife doesn’t keep up with culture war bullshit. But she laughed at the amount of black people and troons in this game when she played it.

I had played on ps4 but now I'm starting fresh on ps5 and I went into Ravenclaw this time. Just got to Hogwarts.

JK Rowling is a person who can go a little batshit sometimes but then all authors do. The game is actually great although character customization should be better. More voice variety and face variety and maybe options for makeup for female characters.

I will say it really is a massive game and everywhere you look there is something happening. The outrage was retarded.

I love the interactions you come across like the lady chasing her husband for being a cheater. The ghosts and portraits are fun. You can literally spend hours exploring and do main quest later its that detailed.

Not being as big of a fan of Harry Potter, i thought Hogwarts Legacy was a pretty cool journey into the mystical majestic magical world, it actually got me interested in what the hell was going on with Bigbom Thinglebottom and Whodiwart Poopensnout, and thats a big credit to how fleshed out it made the school itself. if they are going to make a sequel, they need to center it around one of the other schools in the universe, again only speaking as a secondary so maybe im in the minority, but id be more interested in how the rest of the world worked rather than another tour of Hogwarts.
