There are a lot of foods that are pointlessly cruel and overall horrific. Do you think foie gras is bad? Do you wonder if lobsters feel pain when boiled alive? Well I'm here to make you feel way worse. If you don't like the beastforums topic or you actually like your life don't bother with this.

This could arguably be in Community Watch because a lot of this is stupid and not even good food

Ikuzukuri is flaying fish alive to get the freshest sashimi

Yin Yang fish is taking a fish and frying half its body. It's alive when you eat it so its half fried fish and half fresh sashimi.

This one is really stupid because octopi are extremely intelligent and its also not even a good way of cooking them, it makes it tougher.

Kylie Brooks defended this at one point as an "ancient tradition" because he's an idiotic racist

This one isnt from japan or china. This is a songbird they drown in alcohol and then roast.

Hope you enjoy.

At this point you may have noticed a trend it's mostly Asian countries doing this

Has anyone done any sort of psychological analysis on why Asian countries are so fucking weird?

There's a reason shit like guro and the practice of cooking living animals before your eyes as a "delicacy" comes from there. What the fuck is in the water, man??

asians have small eyes so they cannot see when other creatures, especially non-humans, are in pain

It's just a part of the inscrutable nature of the strange and alien Celestial.

None of these bother me too much but man, that yin yang fish.. seeing them pick apart a fish still flopping on the plate disturbed me on a very visceral level.

Just one? This is how you handle Crustaceans:

I would eat all of that shit. Maybe not the dog as I hear it's gross as hell, but everything else.

Some years ago I saw an article where a Chinese person said they didn't like dog meat because it was heavy and greasy.

The live fish though, that's messed up. That's just cruel. I mean, isn't it still pretty fresh if you quickly kill the fish before slicing it up? I'll leave eating live fish up to the bears. And other fish.
