Oh I'm just peachy just fucking peachy...
Me and some friends all needed a larger transport than we have, we all have some variety of 4X4 but we needed a bigger one with some lifting gear so we all got together to buy a van together as it's cheaper than renting, and we all have equal shares in the cost and running expenses, I've not used it much but today I needed it.
This isn't exactly new but not exactly old 3 years and 70k miles on it well maintained ex-fleet jobby we got at an auction, full service history and interior that was nearly as new, decent GPS, sound system and other comforts nice mid spec Van. I get to the place we store it at do my checks fit the seat to my height and set off to do my thing.
Get there load up, have lunch and someone had scratched the side as I was getting lunch, not bad but first noticeable scratches on it - lose a bet so have to buy some cake when I see everyone next, hohum it's a work van, not worth claiming over.
Get in and start the drive back home again, about 5 miles away from my destination on a small country road with a blind spot I am waiting to turn, nothings comming start to turn and some fucker in a Fiat 500 sport trying to show off to his mates smacks into the drivers side smashes his front to bits, rips off my front bumper, lights and dents the bonnet so bad it can't be opened, and I get a face full of Airbag and driver side airbag - my ears are still ringing 5 hours later.
The Fiat is a write off, but no injuries and it was all caught on camera and he was doing about 50/60 when he hit me but the Van is too or will likely be considered a write off, we had to borrow another van to take my stuff out the back and then saw it get towed off to a garrage.
I am not a happy bunny.
