"SHIT" Need to figure out my next musician. Paul Simon's "Rhythm of the Saints" mostly lines up with later Instrumental Santana. I like it and my students don't really care.

*ends* "SHIT" I can play Graceland, which is amazing but very attention-seeking "African" music which is bad for background work (for now). whatdoihaveonitunes? ... Ah, Gerry Rafferty! Baker Street and that kind of music is good for BG shit!

Keeds think they recognize the music and say "Is that Alan Parsons Project?" I correct and they talk about various "Baker Streets" they know of. #winning They also are open to more (underappreciated) Alan Parsons Project music moving forward. 8)

Today I learned: 18-22-somethings know and care about Alan Parsons Project. I think humanity has hope after all. :feels:

Had to deal with the last person I need to so now the vacation continues. Another week and a half of no work, and all being obnoxious and pissing people off.
Also I went special shopping:
Past that my illness kicked me in the head today, almost made me want to vomit for hours at a time, so the above was needed. Um, ice cream is a medical procedure... um... yeah.

Two of my triple vaxxed family members caught Covid, it's safe and effective guys! As for vaxxfree me I not been sick for almost THREE YEARS. You Branch Covidians are in a death cult, I pity you.

In his defense, browsing certain parts of the site and paying attention to what the media won't talk about paints a bleak picture.

Update: car broke down, techs can't get to it till next week. Thank Christ not having it isn't a dire emergency, but it's still an expensive fix.

Well management at work that has spent the past few months trying to drive me insane with change orders had some complaints today. Despite telling me I didn't need to go back and change things, only do things differently moving forward, they are appalled by how inconsistent things are in the system. Despite being unhappy they aren't able to clearly articulate what they want moving forward or if they want me to revise my past work for consistency. I felt like I explained they were providing conflicting examples and requests every way I knew how for the last hour. I still did not get a clear answer.

Most of my family died of ass cancer, they all got the same symptoms and ended up dying awhile later. I got the same exact symptoms and was certain I was fucked but turns out the pajeet doctors got it in time.

On one hand I'm glad I don't have to get into a autistic slap fight with the grim reaper but on the other hand most of my family is dead. They left behind actual lives with kids and shit, meanwhile the family fuck up that I am dodges the bullet somehow and it makes me feel guilty that I of all people survived

Get screened for colon cancer if you're 45 or older. If anyone in your family has history of colon cancer its worth getting checked out regardless of your age.

You only need to go once every 5 or 10 years because your colon likes to make fleshy growths that are normal but there's a risk they can turn cancerous eventually. They can remove them during the screening with ease most of the time.

And I don't care if its a power level, if I can convince so much as one person to get checked then I'll consider it worth it

A bit frustrated. I want to start a couple of projects but people are being flakey in a way that makes it worthwhile to wait but annoying at the same time. Meanwhile I keep ending up with small things that are just very time consuming but in a way I just have to hang out instead of doing something useful.

Agreed. It may be a pain in the ass to deal with a checkup, but it's nothing compared to how much of a pain in the ass it'll be if you don't, pun intended. Also: lol old.

There is genuinely no purpose at all to immersing one's self in that trash, obsessing over things completely outside your control while neglecting what's going on in your own back yard, probably literally in a lot of cases.
These people are supposedly conservative, why are they acting like Twitter users whose attention is dictated by whatever topic happens to be relevant in their online circles at a given time? Fucking go carve some wood or something, it'll be 10x more valuable than browing /pol/ or whatever these performatively far-right clowns do in their free time.

That seems on topic given the nature of the thread.

Are they the same types who you help out a lot but when it comes time to ask them for help they put you off? I had to deal with a lot of those people in the past and it sucks big time

Very true, one need to admit their weaknesses sometimes and just avoid it. Because it's never going to go away. There will always be something to scream for your "weak" side.

Nah, it's more of a business type thing where it's an opportunity for them to make money as well, but I need some of their time as they have information that is useful and will keep me from having to go back and redo shit later if I just pull the trigger and go for it without waiting. I'd get if it was one person or group but it's essentially four different people on four different topics, and while I can do some stuff currently, the things I really want to work on need me to finish the stage I'm currently on before progressing. That and today I've wasted the whole day waiting for contracting work that should have taken a few hours but is still going on, unrelated to any of this, and there's nothing I'm contributing to it, I'm just stuck waiting, and it will probably have to continue on a different day which just means more time wasted.

something weird happened but i dunno if i'm being schizo or not.

i pulled in a parking lot today (for tacos). when i came back to my car after like 10 mins and there was a car parked right next to me in this barren ass parking lot (1). these two dudes got in the car and were kind of looking at me which combined with parking next to me was pretty weird. i lit up and read the farms for about 5-10 minutes. these dudes were still mad staring, and coincidentally once i went to put out my joint they decide to start their car and leave (2). i wasn't in a hurry to leave because it's MY life and i use my time how i want to. so for another minute or two these dudes were just stopped like 40 feet ahead of me still looking over their shoulders (3). so i drove past the next row of parking spots to leave and only then did they decide to start driving (4). i turned onto the street at the first exit and they drove past. i looked over my shoulder to see if they took the next exit out of the parking lot, and of course like 3 seconds later i saw the car pull out (5). they pulled up next to me again and were still staring like what the fuck!!! get a life bitch!!! so i gave them a weird look and they kept following for another few blocks and eventually turned off.

am i tripping? that's 5 really distinct things i noticed, something way similar happened less than a week ago. the only time i piss off other people on the road is when they suck at driving. it's like i'm famous, all these people wanna know what's up with my life. i actually live very normally and only i be ausitstic at designated times.

I had a dream that I had uncovered a Chinese conspiracy. It involved blowing up Chinese government buildings with tanks and going on motorboats through the mainland rivers with undercover CIA operatives and discovering an underground India/China alliance planning to nuke New York City.


The funny thing is I don't know if this was really dream or I recently had my memory wiped, I could have sworn I had one or two run ins with Chinese government operatives.
