I volunteered to work Fridays and Saturdays at work till the college vacation starts on the 22nd. The only overtime pay will be from Saturday though. Still I'm in need of Christmas shopping money in addition to bill and rent money, the opportunity was offered so I took it. Every cent helps, besides washing dishes for the campus catering? There are days where it almost doesn't even feel like work. Almost like they practically give me money for nothing.


Mind you I said almost. I still have to work and actually wash dry and put away dishes, keep the place clean and help the chefs with whatever they need. But you know the Ole saying. "If you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life. "

I got a phone call today. It was my friend who died 3 years ago. I had a friend with a terminal illness. He gave away all his things and went away to die in his home town, on his own terms before the disease stole his dignity.

After I stopped getting replies via text I knew it was done.

He called me today. That fucker got arrested on his way back home and spent the last 3 years in prison. Just got out. His health situation has somewhat changed. He made friends with the Irish mafia and manifested a laundry room drug trade economy while locked up. Fucker made money in prison. Dude has never even had a speeding ticket and is past retirement age, led a cushy life.

Like...Holy Hell. I am screaming. How do I even process this. Hahahahaha. Christ. Good day today.

I felt a little bummed not having a Christmas tree this year, especially seeing all those nice ones on my new neighbors windows..



Then I read about Christmas in 1941 just a few weeks after America entered ww2. Most people were lucky to scrounge enough to afford a small tree in a metal bucket let alone presents for the family....I felt a little less bummed after that.

I cracked a window. Bear in mind I did years of machine shop work with similar smelly stuff, the worst stuff is “flush oil”, that will seep out of your skin two days later

I got my IQ test from years ago back. 95 Full scale. Scored high in some areas but scored in the low 90's/80's for other shit. I feel retarded.

Other than that the school I applied to accepted me, though I'm gonna choose Medical Assisting instead of the IT program. After a while I might go into Graphic Design as a hobby after I graduate from the MA program.

I am also considering taking up Amateur Boxing.

Spent a few days in bed with a horrible cold, and my chest is still feeling gunked up. I'm hoping that clears up before before the singing lessons I've got booked.

I'm currently writing my last essay for University and it's a bit of a doozy. I'm finding myself really overwhelmed and unmotivated to work on it. The only thing that's worked is breaking it up into sections and even then I'm really having to force myself to get just a couple paragraphs down at a time. It really bums me out when I see everyone celebrating Christmas and I have to tell them I'm too busy. Either way it'll all be over by next week whether I like it or not. I hope all of you are having a more relaxed holiday.

Been working my ass off all week, pulling overtime working non stop and stayed late today too. I don't get a break until the vacation starts next week. But it will be worth it. It's the closest I'll get to a Christmas bonus, and it feels all the better knowing I earned it.


Side note, it seems like there will be snow next week not on Christmas eve or day itself but it would be nice to have some. It's been just above freezing all week so all I've gotten is rain. Miserable cold not in the least bit festive rain.
