I passed by ASCP exam today, so now I am certified to slap samples on a machine so easy that a re-tarded monkey can do. I studied so hard, and that test was so damn difficult.

You have my sympathy, bike accidents are no joke. I once flew over the handlebars and busted the front of my helmet on a busy road.
Hope you have a speedy recovery.
There's a reason I haven't taken my Mongoose out for a spin. I'm not going no-helmet, especially not in this city.Indeed, bicycle accidents can be really bad. Three or four years ago helped sort of scrape someone up from a bicycle accident. They'd hit something and flew off the side of the walking/bike path. Path is pretty wide, blacktop. Person was in the hospital for nine days, home recuperating even longer. Insurance was billed a couple of hundred thousand bucks. Saving grace - was wearing a helmet, which took a lot of the impact. See people daily whizzing down the walking/bike path on their bikes, sometimes in bunches. Am just amazed there haven't been any other really bad accidents. As for me, I just walk. Don't ride a bike.
Folks, I shit you not. Buy and wear a helmet. Broken bones are pretty repairable. A fractured skull and brain injuries, not so much.
The skeeters are coming out in force because of the moisture, I'm guessing. Seems to happen a lot when humidity spikes.I've been a little tired lately, but that might be from the daily thunderstorms where I live. Been getting tons of skeeter bites on my feet, too, so I try to wear sneakers at night.
