Around 2012 I used to watch a lot of webcomic reviews and came across a Sonichu review by "the webcomic relief". After that I went to the Cwcki and got into the rabbit hole that is Christian Weston Chandler

I knew about Sonichu for years, and then read about the Gamestop incident and never researched it.
But then I found KiwiFarms, and decided to watch one of the fine documentaries on YouTube. I only lurk on the CWC forums. Keep the good stuff coming~.

I got in around 2014 or so, though I had heard about him even before that. To be fair, I thought he was just some fat geek, but seeing shecameforCWC.jpg and the Fanta video truly opened a whole new can of worms.

I probably had read his ED page earlier and not committed it to memory, but the first I remember hearing about him was on an obscure website around 2011 where there was a Sonic-obsessed autist and the people there started comparing him to Chris. I didn't know a whole lot about him besides Sonichu and being a creep towards women until 2015 when I started reading the cwcki.

I think I discovered him randomly on ED sometime between 2008 and 2010. The ED article was basically one giant shitpost, of course, but it had a link to the CWCiki and that was where I really started to learn about him.

I used to kill time in high school study hall on TVTropes. The "So Bad It's Horrible" music page mentioned "Christian and the Hedgehog Boys". From there I found the Sonichu page and since it was edit locked realized that I had found something wild. From there I found the CWCKi, which was my time-killer of choice until I thought "what's this kiwi thing they keep mentioning?"

Just a thread to share our stories.

I found him about 5 years ago after seeing The Hardcore Kid's Smegged Up Youtuber videos and found him on the list, right after the Angry Homo Kid too.
I saw a small cut of one of his videos on someone else's account and I really thought it was recorded inside of his garage which was really his room

I knew about him vaguely as a weird internet dude, obsessed with sonic, I didn't know much about him. But in 2015 I heard him referenced in, what I think was a collab between Ashens and Guru Larry, then I started watching videos and looking through the CWCki. For some reason before I knew much about him I thought he had a wife and a kid.

I came into the game pretty late, probably right at the time of the Brushfire video.

I had seen references to him in bits and pieces over the years, but had no idea things were so fun until seeing that video and listening to his nasally voice complaining about some guy working next door to the rental house and Chris going absolutely tardshit.

I then found the CWCki and it was all downhill from there.

Sometime during the summer of 2016 I was playing a video game with my brother and he started casually talking about something Chris Chan had done. I didn't know who he was yet and after my brother explained him to me I instantly regretted all the time I had spent in ignorance.

On and off through his ED page in high school (2013-ish at the start?) But it was around the Sonic Boom protests that I really started diving into that cave of insanity.

Cue now, and I regret not buying anything from when the Etsy page was a thing, among other missed opportunities from being a sheltered shit on the Internet.

I heard his name for the first time not long after he surfaced in 2007. I didn't actually look closely at him until 08 when I was at ED reading about the autistic exploits of Kimmo Alm and then started clicking around to other ED articles.

Earlier this year. After a computer refresh, went to browse youtube. Without any cookies, youtube was simply showing trending videos. One of them was a 2016 video called "down the rabbit hole - Chris chan and sonichu" with the most god-awful drawing I have ever seen of sonic.

And you know how rabbit holes with the gravitational pull of black holes go. That video led me to ED, then to the CWCki, and then finally here.

Sadly, I came in too late to experience the amazing tales of julaaay and others myself, although I have been able to watch the financhu crisis first hand.

@DNJACK this guy is stealing your identity

If I remember correctly, I think it was around 2009? My brother showed me the video of Chris' Powerpoint presentation and was awe struck by how bad it was and his creation he called "Sonichu". Sometime afterwards I found the CWCiki and read through everything, my favorite being the Megan saga and the emails between them. Been hooked ever since.

I found out about Chris shortly after the mace incident in 2014. I sometimes browse gamefaqs when I'm really bored (I rarely ever post there), and at one point I looked around the Rise of Lyric board and found this:

https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/761332-sonic-boom-rise-of-lyric/70898945

Some guy posted a link to the CWCki and I flat out ignored the earlier warning not to look into him.
I spent the rest of my winter break playing games and reading up on all of the articles on the site. It was a time I look upon fondly.

I feel like I kinda joined in on the hype way too late, but I'm glad I managed to get some good laughs out of it all the same.
