Earlier this year. After a computer refresh, went to browse youtube. Without any cookies, youtube was simply showing trending videos. One of them was a 2016 video called "down the rabbit hole - Chris chan and sonichu" with the most god-awful drawing I have ever seen of sonic.

And you know how rabbit holes with the gravitational pull of black holes go. That video led me to ED, then to the CWCki, and then finally here.

Sadly, I came in too late to experience the amazing tales of julaaay and others myself, although I have been able to watch the financhu crisis first hand.

@DNJACK this guy is stealing your identity

Why is it always the worsts autistic spergs that do it? I would like for someone cool to pretend to b me for once.

I'd known of Chris-chan since at least 2010/2011 because of some references to Sonichu I'd seen across the web and Encyclopedia Dramatica, but never really knew about everything else until this year. After making an account on here, I've been doing more research into them. While I can't help but feel slightly bad due to their past, there's more of a sense of "I'm so fucking glad this isn't me" - any tard could turn into a mini Chris under the right circumstances.

I think it was sometime in 2014, probably around a few months before the pepper spray incident. I think I discovered him because one of his music videos was listed under the So Bad It's Horrible/Music page on TV Tropes. After that, I remember watching the "THAT IS MY HOUSE" video, and the Walmart twerking video. I was completely weirded out, but at the same time amused. I also watched some of his flipnotes.

I found out about the GameStop arrest when BrendanielReads read his Facebook post. I began to wonder how Sonic's blue arms were a video game store employee's fault, and how this guy could be "the victim" of it all when he caused his own store ban and disobeyed it. If you don't like the redesign, then don't pay attention to it.

Eventually, I found out even more about him. I found the CWCki, and slowly realized that Chris is probably mentally insane, as well as being autistic. Then I found out about Bob and Barbara's previous marriages, and their kids from them, and how they abused them all to the point of total alienation, then tried to make up for it by pampering Chris into the manchild he is today. (I'd still like to know more about Bob and Barb's pre-Chris years, as well as Chris's childhood up to the Sega Sweepstakes.)

Anyway, the more I look at Chris, the more I look at myself, and the more I realize I don't want to end up in the situation he's in now. To me, Chris has been like an anti-role model. I've decided that I'm going to do everything I can to not end up like him, and if I have kids, to not raise them like Chris' parents did.

I was only around 10 years old when Chris rose to popularity around 2007. So I didn't know much during that time.

I first learned about him around 13 or 14, so I'd estimate around 2011. I only seriously got interested in him when the Documentary came out back in 2015. Hell, that was probably my favorite video from the time, so I played it often as background noise when I played DS2.

Man, actually makes me miss those days.

I was aware of him in the classic days, but only dimly - I knew he was some Sonic fan artist who chimped out a lot, I knew there was a team of trollers who were winding him up as a hobby, I knew what he looked like, but I wasn't really into the story. It was a couple of years ago when his lesbian trans facebook post started going around on Reddit and I read the Wiki.

I learned about him back in 2011, my girl at the time made me watch the Rape of Ivy and I laughed so hard I had to leave the room.

Earliest I discovered him was around 2007-2008?
Me and my cousin were looking up Pokemon shit and we found Sonichu, Even then we thought it was the stupidest recolor bullshit but im just glad we didn't see his shitty porn.

The time when i got Interested in Chris as a Whole is when an old friend of mine told me the Man behind the Recolor.

Some random mentions, followed by reading the ED article about him. Can't pinpoint a date though, it was definitely before the trans phase though.

weirdly enough through his etsy i was looking for someone to mod an amiibo for my daughter and happened upon the sonichu amiibos i was mesmerized by how shit they were i had to look at them then i saw the "from the original creator of sonichu and rosechu" and it just sounded so stupid i had to find out what this guy was up to and i never looked back

I just picked Chris-Chan as an article to read when ED ran their theme on people who deserve to die alone. Probably 2009 so after Bluespike but before Liquid. I was amused then and still am now, unless you've followed Chris you'd stuggle to believe he was real.

I think it was late 2007 or early 2008, and was around the time he became famous after first getting his own ED article and then trying to edit it. A lot of Chris-related crap was floating around on 4chan at the time. I'm not sure when the famous picture of him with the Classic and the medallion showed up, with him in front of a room full of toys staring into space like a moron, but that certainly caught my eye.

Impossible to explain without power leveling, but let's just say I once lived in a place he used to live, and someone was talking about CWC lore at the local gamestop when I happened to be there, and I was intrigued. I later found out a family member actually went to school with him at the same time - which he verified by yearbook. He actually said he wasn't that spergy back then, but said he was kept in a lot of special ed type classes.

In the areas he's lived and frequented he's definitely sort of a local celebrity especially in nerd / gaming circles.

If I had to guess I would say 2011 or 2012 I became aware of him, read some of his comics etc but didn't think much of it. I felt like he was an old meme I guess. I saw the pepper spray incident but once again I didn't really care too much.

I didn't really start following Chris until he started posting on cwcvilleguardian. I recall being fascinated with the Lego Manchester high video, not sure if that was cwcvilleguardian era. hello lady fans was the real watershed moment where I felt like he was active enough for me to participate in this shitshow. Now I'm stuck here.
