How do I learn to solder/desolder stuff without damaging anything

I am trying to get better at SMD soldering but I am extremely paranoid and don't want to use leaded solder. I am thinking about using SN100C/SN100Ni+, as it seems good and it is cheaper than K100LD, but I am not sure what its quality is compared to other lead-free solders. Most of the internet is full of articles that are way too brief, articles that are made by bots/in shitty third world country, people that inhaled too much lead and are clearly too retarded to get good at using anything with out it, and I refuse to use reddit. Also I am extremely lazy and am not doing more than 10 minutes of research.
