Something being a prescription drug doesn't mean it's not a hardcore drug. You list heroin and meth as examples of hardcore drugs, but you can easily get a prescription for opiates and amphetamines, and they're scheduled in the exact same way as their street counterparts. In fact, literal methamphetamine is a legal prescription drug, and is distributed under the brand name Desoxyn.Xanax and benzos are definitely not 'hardcore drugs". They are prescription drugs. And sure they are highly addictive/have bad withdrawals but they're still not on the level of street drugs and they're still not the worst shit you can do. From what I've read in his thread the rest of his meds are prescription also (lyrica and other shit).
Hardcore drugs are street shit like fent, heroin, crack, meth and arguably other opiates.
Typically you're right in that Xanax has a lower abuse potential than most hard drugs, but it's still addictive, carries pretty serious withdrawals that can result in seizures, and can kill you if you take enough, so I think there's some room for it to be considered a hard(ish) drug.
