I have don't think I'll be getting a console this generation. I've been gaming on PC since 2018, so I'm pretty much covered since MS is putting exclusives on PC.

I will never understand why people buy consoles on day one.
The shit is almost guaranteed to fail a few months down the line and the library is shit.

The only reason I can think of is bragging rights, and thats petty as fuck.

I actually have a launch ps4 that still works fine. I’m wondering about picking a ps5 up now that the launch drought seems to be ending. Shame they’re impossible to find. The contoller seems pretty comfy based on what little interaction I’ve had with it. The ps4 pad always seemed kind of spindly to me.

Yeah the high comes from chasing the winning streak and seeing how high it can go with consecutive wins. Even if they hit the jackpot, all that means they have more resources for more RNG win streaks.
