Sure hasn't stopped you from creating "art" using copyrighted characters, including using other people's copyrighted artwork of copyrighted characters. This is not a hill you can die on; you've long since rolled down it.

That's Cirno. She's a touhou character.

So, try drawing Clownpiece. She'll be a good practice for patterning, and drawing lines and stars consistently.

You could come up with your own Garfield type OC to draw. Get a little creative. Heck, you could even combine Garfield with some other copyright character and make your very own cat creation! You even have a cat so you should know what one looks like.
