How to stop a private investigator - Any advice on stopping a private investigation into ones life

Here's what you do:

Hire a private investigator to investigate the private investigator. You'll most likely uncover some degenerate shit. Maybe a furaffinity page, FetLife, or something. Maybe the dude attends lolicons. Build a case against him.

Then hire a private investigator on the private investigator you hired to investigate the original private investigator. Just in case he was hired by the original private investigator to feed you misinformation.

Slowly devolve into madness and realize maybe you should be investigated because you never had an ex, and none of this is real. Also you're Trans.

Assuming you really are being looked into by a private investigator, then you should hire one of your own to look into why you are being investigated. This is not a joke suggestion. PIs frequently use the same resources as each other and can track each other down through those systems and informers. A PI can't actually do anything, but they can at least get you evidence that you're being spied on which you can use to litigate against the people doing the spying.

If the PI refuses because they think you're being paranoid, change your tactics. Go to another one and instead of telling them you're being spied on, just tell them you want your ex to be investigated and let them go from there. They will turn up proper evidence of the other PIs looking into you sooner or later through their investigation, it just may take longer.

I would suggest you hire a PI who's not from your local area to minimize the chances that they might be colluding with each other, though that's already pretty remote as it is.
