How to stop a private investigator - Any advice on stopping a private investigation into ones life

You know what I was going to give some stupid shit advice as a joke, but this question is something you should call a lawyer and ask them about.

And definitely not post about at all or discuss with other people.

If you really are just a schizo take your meds. Maybe after you call a lawyer you can call a psychiatrist.

What would the ex's motivation be for having a PI following you?

All I can think of is money maybe? Is she trying to get child support, or like alimony out of you, and the PI wants to see where you're working, and how much you're earning?

Revenge? Is the ex trying to catch you doing something illegal, or immoral, so she can get you arrested, or maybe ruin your reputation? Or maybe she'd do that to shut down your bid for custody, or visitation, with your kids?

Is your ex a paranoid nutjob or anything?

Youve gave me alot to think about and I think I realized what this is about. Im gonna stop sharing details now. But thank you for the suggestions on the subject.

If you are in Europe or the United Kingdom, you could probably make a report or start a civil lawsuit on the grounds of the GDPR Data Protection Act being violated.

If you are elsewhere, I would call the police. Paying people off is illegal, and would come under extortion, blackmail or bribery, which leads me to believe that the “Personal Investigator” is probably shady, under-qualified or illegitimate.

If this private investigator is willing to work with extortionists or people who are bribing others, or committing other federal crimes to obtain data, then they are an accessory to the crime.

In short; your ex has committed a crime, and if assisted by family members or an investigator, all of those people are accessories to it.

None of this sounds legal, go to the police, and refer to bribery, extortion, blackmail, harassment and a violation of your privacy, data, and human rights.

These things can get out of hand very quickly, and you’re more likely to suffer from not reporting it, than from reporting it.
