How to un-fag your windows experience.

Having spent a week with W11, I've actually come to... not necessarily "like" it or even develop a "fondness" for it, but my current configuration seems to be doing a good job of staying out of the way.

OOSU10++ has more or less taken care of all the annoyances that pushed me over to LTSC in the first place. The W11 start menu being centred is weird and off-putting, but orienting it to the left is still an option. Start menu search seems to be improved compared to the appalling search that it had on W10 (but that's not really saying much). Also, the old Control Panel is still here which is always nice to know.

I gotta say, this is actually not that bad of an "incomplete" Windows version compared to Windows 8.0 or even Windows 10 a year after launch.

Why would you even use Windows 11 at this point? It's objectively shit and likely a test balloon of how far they can penetrate nigger cattle anuses.
I'm sure they could find a way to force people to upgrade eventually, by killing off security updates or making a new DirectX version exclusive to it, but for now there is absolutely no reason to use it.
I hope it will be a version that can be skipped entirely, like ME or Vista.
Windows 11 is Microsoft trying hard to be ChromeOS. Legit useless start menu design as well.

just throw out your PC bro, go outside man
What if I bring the PC outside with myself instead?

I hate when people call their computer a "machine"
It used to be a called a terminal. I like this term better.

Since we're on the subject of Windows 11, I attempted to upgrade to it for a bit but it is completely unusable. At least, in it's vanilla form. Since Windows 10 support is ending soon, I would only consider upgrading if I was able to patch out specific features, like requiring a microsoft account to complete setup (seriously, WTF, why?). Also the win11 taskbar is complete trash. For some stupid reason, you can't easily adjust it's size like in windows 10. This is a complete dealbreaker for me because ever since XP I've loved the convience of having a large quick launch area and a desktop shortcut/foldout (whatever you call it) next to it.

The new taskbar completely shits on this and you can't disable tab grouping either. Why anyone thought this was an improvement or why they don't let you use the old taskbar is a complete mystery to me. If I can't get my windows 11 installation to be useful by cobbling together patches I simply won't upgrade, support be damned.

Win10 is, fortunately for us, the new XP and has a LTS version that's guaranteed through 2030. And by that point I really don't know why people who complain about their os being pozzed would still use Windows. The Office suite is now a cloud product. Bitcoin finally got GPU manufacturers to start playing nice with Linux and Valve repurposed SteamOS to be their own version of Wine, so games work more and more on Linux too. Unless you have some incredibly niche (and by 2030 probably ancient) app that's only Windows/Mac supported, idk why you'd choose to stick with it.

You can still purchase a perpetual license copy of Microsoft Office 2021. Perpetual License in this instances means you pay for it once and use it forever, just like all traditional software.

Has anybody had any experience with Windows 11 compact/lite/superlite by Ghost Spectre? It supposed to be a debloated, and stripped-down Windows 11 ISO with the TPM requirement, Microsoft spyware, and telemetry removed. I just heard of it and as I am building a new computer soon, I am trying to decide what to do, as I need to access the Adobe suite for work, so I cannot use Linux as my "daily driver".

Why exactly would you install an OS from an ISO some guy on Youtube just put on the internet?
I looked it up and at best this is just pre-applying a bunch of tweaks to the OS. You should install a stock Windows version and tweak it yourself instead.

Just use Linux nigga. Theres shit like TwisterOS to make it look like Windows. Or you can use xfce and apply Chicago95 like god intended.

Unless you need Adobe shit, its pretty good. Debian and its offspring are pretty idiot proof. If you wanna live further on the edge, use Manjaro or some arch offshoot.

Don't, get to the MDL forums and use KMS_VL_ALL
Imagine giving Microsoft any money if you don't have to.
What's wrong with kids these days, your parents don't teach you proper piracy manners.

alright fuckers, ive been meaning to post in this thread forever but just haven't had the time. with microsoft announcing that windows 10 licenses are going to cease being sold, my interest is peaked more than ever.

I get that for most of you the answer is literally just to switch to Linux, and I can respect that. I've used Linux on my main PC for a substantial enough amount of time to draw conclusions over whether it's actually worth using for me, however I find it just doesn't fit me. No matter what distro you use, I think the biggest problem with Linux is that it rarely if ever "just works". Every time I booted up my PC, I'd have to deal with a plethora of brand new, extremely strange issues that were annoying as fuck to fix even discounting my lack of Linux know-how. For example, one time I started my computer to game with some friends and found that my video playback and audio capabilities were completely fucked. No sound on anything, no videos, nothing. After 45 minutes of searching through terrible, unhelpful Reddit and Stack Overflow threads, it turned out to be a core sound plugin shitting itself for literally no reason. On it's own, this is whatever. But when I would have these issues after every single boot I found my productivity slowing down and annoyance growing. I like to just turn my shit on and have it work immediately. I know that some of you might say "just use a different distro" or "just configure x or y" but at the end of the day, I've used Windows for decades and I like to stick with what I know works, and that's not even mentioning the ancient, obscure games and pieces of software I use that refused to work on my Linux installs despite countless hours of tinkering and experimentation. Personally, these are important parts of the computing experience for me and as much as I respect the mentality and philosophies behind most Linux distros, I simply didn't like using them as much as I did Windows 10.

Despite this, I agree with many of the big complaints most of you share about Windows 10 (the best version compared to 8/8.1 and 11 imo). It comes with a shitload of bloat and terrible advertisements, is ugly as sin, and has a lot of obviously bubblewrapped components to account for the average normie's retard-level understanding of computers. That's why I set out to get a fresh install of Windows 10 and uncuck it as much as I possibly could without killing significant parts of its functionality. I think I succeeded for the most part, so I'd like to go ahead and describe some of the steps I took in order to help my fellow Microsoft niggercattle scrub away the AIDS.

First, you need an ISO. There are plenty of ways to get one for free, Microsoft still allows you to download one from their site for free with no account if I'm not mistaken. Be careful with pirating OS ISOs or downloading one of those "privacy-centric modified W10 images". You never know what's in those fuckers. Once you've got your ISO ready, start the installation process as normal but with one very crucial difference; unplug your internet. Do not allow your PC to be connected to the internet while performing the install or you will be forced to use a Microsoft account, which instantly negates any other privacy-based change you're gonna make. If it detects that you're offline, you can make a local user account like God intended and be on your way. Obviously, disable all of the telemetry and analytic bullshit it asks you about, including Cortana.

Now you're in and can begin the healing process. Your main issues as of now are the watermark and lack of customization settings owed to the free copy of 10. Don't pay for shit. You can crack a Windows 10 install very easily with a few simple Google searches. If you don't care about customization, the watermark itself can be removed via registry key edits. Again, Google is your best friend here. Anyways, you can make some basic changes to start out with: right-click your taskbar and remove all the sponsored shit, all the ads, all the search suggestions, etc. These can all be found under the "Search" tab if memory serves me. This is also how you ensure that no globohomo faggot flags will appear on your taskbar. Also, open the Start button and unpin all the "Tiles". This'll remove your Candy Crush and Minecraft ads leaving you with a much nicer looking Start Menu.

Next up is where you actually do some impactful shit. Go to this Github page and copy the command, open Powershell as an admin, and paste it in. It'll open a GUI with a lot of self-explanatory options. This script is open-source and I've used it multiple times to great effect. You get the option to automatically uninstall all built-in Windows "apps", totally kill Cortana, uninstall OneDrive (cancer), enable/disable dark mode, etc. Again, it's a very self-explanatory script but if you need more help with it here's a video from Mental Outlaw that'll show you the ropes. From here on out, everything you want to change is up to preference. Replace Edge with literally any non-cucked browser (Brave or any of the dozens of privacy-based Firefox forks are recommended), use external programs like Windowblinds or 7+ Taskbar Tweaker to fix 10 visually, use VLC or one of the older 7-era system programs like Windows Media Player to replace the minimalist bloat trash like "Photos" and "Videos" which you've now deleted, etc.

With all that out of the way, you've pretty much uncucked your normie Windows 10 install to the best of your abilities. As far as I'm aware, the only functionality you'll lose via this method is Microsoft integration like the Store and some Xbox-related features, both of which are shit and should be avoided anyways. There are more thorough ways to ungay Windows 10 like using LTSC, but this is the easiest and most accessible way I've found to do it.

I hope this helps those of you who want a less restrictive and intrusive OS but are too gay and autistic to switch to Linux full-time!

I'm gonna say fuck it and get Linux next computer, and there's nowhere better to put this, but I've followed every tutorial I can find and can't get Edge off of my machine to save my life. Any ideas?
