How would the Farms find out if you were to die? - Or would you care if we never knew?

Thinking about @Captain Manning, an early valuable contributor to the Weeb Wars threads but last known to be hospitalised and suffering serious medical difficulties, I was wondering about this topic.

Because of the level of anonymity most people are encouraged to use when posting here, the only way the death of a user tends to be revealed is if they were a lolcow or lolcow-adjacent themselves, or manage to go out in a manner that is, in itself, newsworthy. On other forums, you might get a loved one using someone's account to tell the community the user has died, but I doubt many users here tell people in their life that they're participants - or, in some cases, have people who would care to do something like that in the first place.

Even as anonymous spergs, there's still more of a community here than a chan board. So I was thinking about how could people find out if someone had died - or even if people would care if the Farms found out or not, and instead were fine with just their 'last visited' date getting further and further away.

It'd probably just be the last visited bit. If you die suddenly and no one knows you post here they couldn't confirm. Even if they could, why would they? Some might but I don't know.

Live stream suicide by cop. I’ll give my favorite posters a shout out.

I have an embarrassing number of posts
If I disappeared at least one person would notice my tism missing.
There was a user who was a software engineer from CWC days of yore who has a deceased tag. Passed from heart disease I think. Does that ring any bells? He’s from before my time, thought maybe you know.

Probably if I never posted or logged on again.

This is a great community, but I (at least at this point) wouldn't feel comfortable sharing details like having a terminal illness, grevious injury, thoughts of suicide ect... This is a place to have fun and bullshit around. Why possibly bring that down?

I know another user irl and they're probably going to laugh at me after I die.

Hint: she's blonde, but she's not that blonde.

It'll go something like this:

I actually have a list of all my accounts and emails with passwords, as well as steps to password reset all if needed on a .txt stored on five different flash drives. The only thing left to do is arrange seeing someone about arranging a will to have the file's existence be known so it can be acted upon.

I'm not joking. I'm that paranoid because I once had a computer break down 4 times over the course of 11 months, and each time I lost whatever I was drawing at the time that wasn't saved on an external device. I've been conditioned to think this far ahead because it's been proven to me that you do NOT know when things will stop working and you DO need to prepare for it the exact moment you are able without any delay.

Ah yes, another paranoid kiwi. I have three copies of all my files, and a seperate pair of hard-drives for my accounts, passwords, etc.

I've placed certain kiwis in my will with Null as the executor of my estate.
