i do not like static electrical discharge at all because it makes me wonder if my cat thinks that i have the power to shock her at will

I accidentally shocked my old one eyed cat twice while petting him. :(

I tend to get very staticly electrified in winter.

Learn to use this power on purpose so you can control it and use it on the cat or other people in your house at will

Since I got these two new blankets, I've been accidentally zapping all of my cats every time I pet them from head to tail. They're even used to it more than I am.

it's not so bad if the zap happens at the tail. The worst is when you hold your hand out for your cat and it excitedly runs over to rub on you+receive pettings and you're happy and the cat is happy and as soon as its little nose touches your fingertip.. *BzZzT!*

my cat always looks at me like this afterwards:

I've watched house cats torture pests for hours then eat the bottom half and leave the top to its agonizing fate. They don't deserve this much pity over a little static.

no but they do deserve. you are wrong. okay thanks ,m

My cat doesn't really seem to mind them. My dog though is a huge baby about them and jumps away and looks so hurt and offended when it happens.

My cat is so used to being shocked that he hardly reacts, unless i zap him on his little nose.

I learned through the power of being a retard to wash my hands before petting the bastard (my cat)

I was constantly shocking him accidentally while as a kitten, the poor "meep" he made. Full carpeted home was hell for this.

@Cats I think your profile picture has been zapped a few times

I don't like it because it's annoying and it can possibly fuck up your stuff like PC hardware and so on.

If it bothers them then why does my dumby cat crawl under the blankets even tho I can hear the crackling and snapping???

Mine usually get it on their ears as I rub the tops of their heads first. Used to go for their cheeks, but the zap to whiskers is probably much, much worse.

one time i accidentally static shocked my bird and i was more upset and startled than he was
Same here, recently in fact. I even saw the visible discharge. It looked like a tiny bolt of lightning was shooting out of her talon, like a birdy Palpatine. I immediately felt bad, but she didn't even seem to notice.
