I FUCKING HATE ZOOMER EDITING

Random nigger noises from twitter for wacky sound effects? Check!
Unnecessary edited in effects to make your video more interesting than it is? You betcha!
Subject matter? Well, something I know nothing about but can easily google or something I DO know but nobody else gives a shit about, obviously!
All the slurs edited out and any potential naughty no-no content removed or censored? Yup!
Now let's add in those memes from reddit, twitter and 4chan(if I am feeling spicy today) to add that unique touch that will set my video apart and make all the kids/hip adults laugh!
I can feel those youtube bucks coming in! Mission accomplished, we got a unique video NOBODY ever made before!

I hate the ones where they just pose and smile to crappy zoomer music. I know it's not anything new or unique to the zoomer generation. But not everyone is a model. If you are older than teenager and playing Barbie photoshoot on TikTok you are lame and gay.

They add dumb music to literally everything. Even things that have no business having any audio inserted in has stupid music injected into it as if that makes it better somehow.
The amount of times I've downloaded a video only to watch it back later with audio and grimace with annoyance.

It has become so overdone. When the trend started out, with the odd part of a video having spazzy editing, it was bearable if not enjoyable.

These days it's common for this shit to be used every fucking second. The rise of TikTok/Shorts has made it all the more worse. This shit has become borderline headache inducing.

In a year or two the video standard will be non-stop fucking earthquake shakes, spinning rainbow strobes, sped up mumble rap, and dramatic zooms every millisecond.

No wonder zoomers are so fucked.

lol millennials cant handle their dopeamine receptors being stimulated cus they're old
Lol zoomie can't stay focused for more than a picosecond without having it's DOPAMINE* receptor being overstimulated.
Just like a drug addict.

I hated that era where loud=funny. Look at something like Martincitopants' Factorio video. Thankfully most people moved out of that shit.
How's this even remotely watchable? Looks like some MKUltra Baby Sensory Deprivation video from the Glowies, watch it and get activated to kill JFK.

The trend I despise the most is every caption getting broken up word by word.
I can understand simply having regular captions present in the video. But where the fuck did the need to pop out each word one by one come from?

The worst is when they play two (or sometimes even three) videos at once on Tiktok, as if the original 30 second video wasn't enough to engage your attention span. Horrible soul destroying stuff.
I've heard this referred to as "sludge content", and if there was intended to be any line between it being ironic or genuine, it has became irrevocably blurred. However, I'd be lying if I said I didn't find a few of the really absurd ones funny

Dear blokes who ever use that "Mr. Beast" font.

Jokes aside, I hate this sort of editing, too. What happened to normal paced videos or edits where it isn't just popping words every word? Like, my guy, we hear you, not all of us have a hearing disability. You don't need to pop up every single word you say. And all the music they choose is so unoriginal, too. Millions upon millions of music to discover and potentially put into your videos, and what do they do? They pick the most overused ones possible. Like, spending a few seconds searching "uncopyrighted music" on the YouTube search bar.

It's prevalent with most ROBLOX youtubers, Minecraft youtubers, Mr. Beast wannabes, all of the sorts. If you see shaky images or even more editing that's basically someone's first experience with After Effects, always expect it to be made by a foreigner. It's always a foreigner for some reason.

These people don't wanna stand out or make something within good paces, they just want them retention rates to explode and rely on their abysmal dopanyl editing style to keep people dragged in. You can make a video interesting without resorting to looking like this is your first time editing.

What really sucks is when you just want to find some clip from some interview, stream or whatever and you end up with a bunch of retarded pointless edits clogging up your results.
Sped up, editing out pauses because you can't have 2 seconds of silence, some shitty filter, those adhd subtitles with emoji every now and then for the most pointless of fucking reasons("I am strong 💪💪💪💪") , an edited reaction clip, vine BOOMs or the metal pipe sfx volume boosted, just stop.
