I hate the Internet and the people who own it

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
The amount of work and stress Josh goes through to keep our fucking Forum up under constant shelling and Tortious levels of interference, its not a big ask for us to make the miniscule effort of learning to use TOR, getting a burner sim for Telegram (most phones have 2 SIM slots anyway these days, at least mine always do) etc.
If people can't even fucking do that it makes you wonder what loss they would be anyway.
I'm probably not the only one who noticed improvements in the overall quality of discourse on the Farms when it was Tor-only for a few weeks, and subsequent decline once Null got us back on the clearnet.

I get that Null wants to make the copious amount of receipts held on hundreds of lolcows available for all and sundry to see on the clearnet, and I am in awe of his pig-headedness.

However even if KF ends up being banished from the clearnet forever, it'll still eat up the most militant of lowcows directly involved with pushing the Farms down into the Internet's underbelly, as they know that they'll never be able to completely obliterate the evidence of their misdeeds.

No matter how hard humans try to conceal or misplace items on the Internet, the Internet never forgets.

He certainly was entertaining if nothing else.
I remember on the sites anniversary the crazy bastard negrated every fucking post for 40+ pages with puzzle pieces.
:story:
If you checked his history he was at it for about 3 hours straight.
When something set him off he would go for fucking days
Last I heard of him he was doxing his boss because he got fired for going Boolio on the dude IRL.
Crazy motherfucker.
I wouldn't be surprised if we saw him on the news one day.
Goodspeed Bools you crazy, crazy fuck.

I'm very impressed with how quickly Null got another clearnet link working for the farms, with the Kiwifarms name no less. Since I am dumb and computers are akin to rune bound demons forced to serve magic metallic masters I have no idea how stable the current solutions are but I hope that Null keeps proving to the world that he's always got tricks, tools, time and good'ol American stubbornness up his sleeves.

Considering some of the other hellish downtimes I witnessed earlier these last two years, Null and his setup seems to be working harder, better, faster, and stronger than before and his resilience to all encompassing malicious retardation continues to inspire hope for a better internet one day.

Since anyone who comes to the Kiwifarms is here forever it must mean that the Kiwifarms will be here forever too.

A waste of time because it is a neutral rating.
I always found it odd that autistic is a neutral rating, when I’ve only ever seen it treated as a negrate, while the lunacy and Islamic content ratings are -1 despite almost always seeing them used on usually good posts (like when someone o
posts a Tranny sperging out on Twitter or something).

I don't give a fuck about the points and never thought about it. Only Redditors give a fuck about that kind of shit (uWu look at my karma xDDDDD), imho.

It's because people are autistic. Score really doesn't matter anyway. Literally anyone who isn't such a colossal retard that every single post they make gets dozens of dumbrates has a huge positive rating.

LOL I posted a lot of spoony stuff and this James Fargo would tag every post 'horror'. Eh, my reaction score is what it is. I think there should probably be a differentiation between what you're posting/quoting as a joke and actual freakish stuff. I bet in a few years AI will be able to take care of all that better than humans now though.

It can give the wrong impression depending on who's in the know: had I known 'Lunacy' and 'Islamic Content' counted as neg ratings I would never have given them, because I used them as a reaction to the person who originally made the content, not the Kiwi posting it for our perusal.

Is it not generally understood what the context is? I see plenty of posts on A&N for example, get "Dumb" or "Horrifying" reacts that are obviously in response to the article or thing being posted, rather than the poster.

Yeah, i assumed the average poster understands that, too. I think the only really negative rating is "Dumb", and even with that there's exceptions like you pointed out. Disregard point values, aquire puzzle pieces.

So how how long will this domain last for? Will le based poles drop us?
We've had the .pl domain for years, before the recent spate of deplatforming.

Also the mainstream tlds like .com, .net and .org, plus any tlds allocated to nation states (so .pl for example) are a lot more robust. I haven't heard of many cases of one of those tlds confiscating someone's domain over dumb complaints.

Like to be fair, I guess we did lose .is, which is Iceland. But I think all in all, those sort of events are rare.

The new novelty tlds like .today are unusually vulnerable because they're usually handed off to small, shitty silicon valley / pnw startups to run.
