I come around a while back on Leftists using "lib"/"liberal" as a pejorative, because I once thought it was a needless demarcation
As a left individual myself there is indeed a difference. What makes me so frustrated is regardless of Left or Right the stated ideas should work. But they are never implemented by those in power. So much wasteful spending.

All of these Leftists could redistribute a ton of money and help a ton of causes they claim to care about if they just put in work but they don’t cause they don’t give a shit.

The whole "paradox of intolerance" shite early on acted as a soft introduction to a possible scenario for redditors where forcibly removing certain voices from society might be beneficial, providing an argument for instances where free speech should have limits. Combine it with the "If there's 9 Nazis sitting at a table and you join them, there's now 10 Nazis" - old German saying (It's fucking made up.) you're positioning people who defend the rights of Nazis to speak as being Nazis themselves, really forcing people to pick a side. Combine it with the eventual mass labelling of Trump as a Nazi/Fascist, you can imagine the rest: everyone who supports/tolerates Trump is a Nazi. So, becoming a Leftist, you've now altered your mindset into believing half the country are Nazis, even conversing with them makes you one of them, and tolerating their opinions is enabling a slow decline towards tyranny. You can see how Daskins leans on the middle point especially in his videos. It really is all to dehumanise and divorce the other half of any country as being those who are in violation of society's compact.
This is the basis for progressive politics, which is why almost every progressive activist has a savior complex or a victim complex, with no inbetween. They actively make relations between the 'oppressed' and 'oppressor' worse everytime they speak.

It's not shocking why he e-begs. He's the poor little working class man who needs to be bailed out because evil land-lords charge him 3k a month (which he very clearly makes more than twice that in the same timeframe). To be honest, I don't see Ian actually convincing many people of his beliefs. Although I'm not sure how to prove it definitively, I think it's obvious that most people who watch political content in general already have those beliefs already and use it to reinforce their pre-existing beliefs. Ian probably works less than most CEO's yet thinks he is somehow remotely in touch with the working class. He's a textbook white savior if you replace race with work-ethic.

I do disagree that Hasan actually believes in it. He doesn't believe in socialist values, but he does see it as an easy money making opportunity, so he regurgitates opinions he's heard other people say like Destiny or his uncle Cenk. He hides his true beliefs and makes sure socialism is spoonfed in a specific way so he can be a socialist and a multi-millionaire streamer at the same time. This is why he tries to say the 'ultra-rich' are really the bad guys, because to the brain-rotted fools in his audience can deflect the usual anti-socialist arguement of 'Everyone is poor under socialism/communism' while also justifying his wealthy, worry-free lifestyle that his audience and billions of other people do not have. Being a socialist is very marketable, ironically.

The only politics that guy is concrete about is islamic nationalism, which is the only reason he supports Hamas (to his own detriment), who aren't really a socialist group and are in fact a group any socialist movement would look to obliterate once the revolution kicks off.

Ian however, does believe in it but is incredibly delusional. He's just another Avatar of reddit like Vaush and everyother leftoid with that physiognomy.

'hurt muh back'

Well...slap me sideways looks like DSP wasn't lying when he styled himself as a pioneer and influence on other Youtubers. Just maybe a bit later and in a different way than we all thought he was claiming. He should come after IS's newfound windfall and a ton of other people with a bill for lessons rendered or at least demand credit as a leading light.

Ian has graced us with an update:

Wow, shocking development. The guy who is too lazy to pay off his credit card debt despite making 3.5K a month is taking a sabbatical. He won't be back to make content till september, yet for some reason october is the date he will answer if he's even gonna continue to be a youtuber.

1748986510396.webp1748986539877.webp

Very mixed replies, at least so far. No doubt people are quite pissed that all this fucker does is sit around at one of the easiest jobs of all time where you can set your own hours, at your own pace, for whatever content suits your fancy.

I can see why the trans community actually hate this guy. He sucks up all the money from the gofundme-hrt pipeline

New Harmful Opinions video on Ian came out today:

I think he will be out of money and begging for more donations before the end of the year.
He's gonna owe a lot more in taxes next year due to the panhandling he did.

The footage of Innuendo sadly cooking and going "woe is me, give me money faggot" makes him look really fat and pretentious. His voice grates on my nerves.

100%. I guarantee you the first thing he did after hitting his goal is book plane tickets. Get your bets out to see how much money he ended up blowing on this trip.
At least now we have some more clarity and confirmation on what his financial expenses are and some more gems from his incredible financial wisdom
- He took loans from his family, which I guess he will have an easy time to pay back since it will likely be in cash
- He doesn't know who needs to be paid to pay off his credit card debt...how? IT'S ON YOUR FUCKING CARD YOU BALD CUCK!
- He is paying for student loans. He 100% did not use his degree
- He thinks that gofundme donations will be treated as a gift, not as income. In his unlisted video (through harmful opinions of course), he states one of the reasons he didn't end up paying his taxes the first time was because Patreon and the Bank report the money he receives as income, most likely because they themselves report it as income and you don't just have a patreon or nebula because you're special. It's not a donation, you worked and were paid for work. It's a subscription, and that's absolutely taxable income. Maybe gofundme donations will be considered 'gifts', but I don't think his infinite wisdom on the american tax code and it's loopholes will pay off considering the first time he did the IRS told him to get his wallet out.

Anyone got the unlisted video?

He said they're with a collection agency that means he was probably maxed out, not making payments and ignoring letters from the bank for at least 6 months, he's not broke because of repaying debt he's broke because he's ran out of credit.

he was making student loan repayments while accruing credit card debt. Granted I'm not an american so I dunno about the interest rates of these sort of things but that strikes me as retarded.

He's gonna spend all that money on crack just like that one chick who e-begged for money to save her.
Yeah, it's helpful to bail out people who were put into a debt crisis due to an unforseen accident.

But for those that are in debt due to their chronic bad habits, handing out cash is enabling them. They don't change, they see the good fortune as an excuse to keep on drinking/drugging/buying gatcha waifus

Ian needed money, so he borrowed from his family. He maintained his addiction, ran into more debt, then borrowed from the banks. Asking his followers was a last resort because he knew it would tarnish his brand image and hurt his main income source, but it sounds like he already made the decision to quit being a Youtuber. So, good a time as any to squeeze the last amount of juice from them

Hey, did he mention quitting making vids in his initial plea for help? Of course not, his viewers needed to think that donating would result in more content

So it sounds like he's going back to blowing cash again with no real plan to get another source of income, besides maybe glomming onto someone else to make twee art. By next year he will be in debt once again because he has no impulse control and GAWD FORBID he get a job bagging groceries with, ugh, working class people.

Shits out maybe 4-5 videos in an entire year
Sits on his fat ass all day not working
Still somehow makes 7k a month from Patreon alone
Can't live on that respectable amount so gets in major debt including loans from friends and family
Too dumb to pay off debt
Sits on his fat ass all day not making videos
Make the mother of all grift videos
Acts like he is going to get a real job as if he could do real work when he can't handle making lazy video essays
"The GoFundMe is to pay off my debts"
Somehow raises 150k from his retard fans
Pretty much won a retard lottery
"Bye guys, I'm off to vacation all summer, don't ask for any content because I won't be doing any
I'm not paying the debts I owe because I don't know who I owe money to (lmao what?!)
No refunds

I know you're right, but I don't understand that mentality at all. You'd think being in a bad spot and getting bailed out, or having a close call, would give someone a wake-up call, not an excuse to continue. Like, if I was a drug addict and I overdosed, and someone found me and saved me, I feel like my thought process would be "through luck or divine intervention, I got a pass this one time. I can't be in this position again under any circumstance, because there's no way I'm getting this lucky twice." Even if I relapsed, it'd be a result of a failure of willpower, rather than looking at my good fortune as an excuse to continue.

Maybe it depends on the severity of the close call, but being 6 figures in debt is pretty severe, and getting rescued from it is monumental. Or maybe some people are just too stupid to learn from their fuckups.

He has less fiscal sense than a teenager with daddy's credit card. He will absolutely double dip the donation scam when he gets in the red again and will keep doing it until he burnt all his goodwill.

You see, he was talking to a streamer down in Mexico who told him that donations and subs are tax free, bish.

Acts like he is going to get a real job as if he could do real work when he can't handle making lazy video essays
Don't forget showing us his self sabotaging "resume" that would guarantee he would be unable to find a real job. He spent more time making that prop for his grift video than his normal videos.

Like, if I was a drug addict and I overdosed, and someone found me and saved me, I feel like my thought process would be "through luck or divine intervention, I got a pass this one time. I can't be in this position again under any circumstance, because there's no way I'm getting this lucky twice."
But the problem is that it wasn't luck or intervention, it was a calculated play that paid off, and he thinks that he can do it again if he needs to. Going back to the junky metaphor, it would be like doing drugs when you think everyone around you has narcan. When you get saved, it is less divine intervention and is instead something expected. So you will keep doing risky behavior thinking that safetynet will always be there... until it isn't.

I found a link to it on a site that archives porn patreon posts. Here is the unlisted 2025 update video from March 19:
(archive)

One thing I noticed from looking at Ian's patreon posts is that even though he doesn't post to YouTube regularly, he is consistent with content on other platforms. He regularly posts movie and game reviews to Letterboxd & Grouvee. These sites don't get him any ad revenue and are probably only of interest to a small fraction of his audience. Putting out regular YouTube content should be his first priority if he needs more money. My cynical take on this would be that Ian can claim he is "working" when he wants to watch movies & play games he is interested in.

he was making student loan repayments while accruing credit card debt. Granted I'm not an american so I dunno about the interest rates of these sort of things but that strikes me as retarded.
If the plan is to pay all debt back, the smart approach is to make minimum payments on whatever has the lowest interest rates and pay as much as possible on the highest interest loan first. If the plan is to go bankrupt, the smart approach would be to max out all available credit to pay off the student loan completely. Student loans in the US almost never get discharged in bankruptcy. I think Ian's plan was to ignore his student loan and wait for Biden's loan forgiveness program make it go away.

You would THINK so, but that's not how the mind of an addict works. The addict's brain is constantly rationalizing.

If they survive an OD, they might be spooked temporarily. But the craving is still there, it tells them that an overdose isn't a death sentence. Now that they know their limit, they can safely consume. And withdrawals can be deadly too, right? Better to 'taper off" than go cold turkey. Tonight we'll have fun then tomorrow we're on the road to recovery! It won't happen again, you got a roommate who will save you worst case scenario. Everything is a justification for an addict. Good times are a cause to celebrate. Bad times are an excuse to escape. Boring times are a reason to kill time. Maybe you feel shitty because of your lack of willpower, you know what'll fix that? Acceptance and a binge session

It eventually works on a subconcious, pavlovian level. The brain recognizes that every time it signals pain, it gets a reward. Eventually it will learn to create pain or anguish out of nothing because it means it will get treats

Actual Justice Warrior did a video on this guy, and I appreciated his disgust. I'm not sure how this guy can call himself a "youtiber" when he doesn’t make videos. Even on other platforms, nothing he makes is longer than a few minutes. He does nothing, but talk about things he could do, while producing nothing.

He keeps dropping "family" in his begging videos as part of his manipulation as well. Does he have kids? Anyone he's responsible for other than himself? Seems unlikely, since even in his polyamorous relationship I can't imagine he was having sex with a woman. Everything about this guy screams "gay", along with "fat, lazy retard who won't actually work at the easiest, most flexible job he could have".

Tophiachu puts more effort into her "career" than this guy. She's just too stupid to use the fancy psuedointellectual lingo.

Alright, I gotta know your opinions on this.

Will he continue being a youtuber?

I feel like he will because he doesn't seem like the type of person with the basic level of grit and discipline to be holding down a normal job. This includes an art/writing related job, considering he doesn't make little stick figures that represent the alt-right and he can barely be bothered to script and research. Although there is a possibility he will simply not upload a project and slip into unemployment and never even try to get out.

The thing that confuses me about all of this is how on earth do you get $100,000 in debt, but seemingly have nothing to show for it? Literally, where is the money going? I don't think it's drugs or some addiction like that. Maybe it's OnlyFans? But that wouldn't be literally hundreds of thousands of dollars, would it? Surely not.

I've seen this little creep's house and how grim and dingy it is - I can only assume there's some back room or something that we'll never ever see, that's just like an Aladdin's cave of expensive consoomer tier shit from yeeeears ago, that he now has choice paralysis about, because he seemingly expects to be paid to partake in leisure activities. He needs his Patreon paypigs to financially enable him to play video games and watch films.
