Hunger games had 4 different films that grossed over a billion dollars, whereas Battle Royale was a cult film even in Japan. It was also banned from even being seen in most countries and especially the US until hunger games was coming out.

I'll admit I don't keep up with the IP2 crowd much anymore, but from what I know there will be plenty of people there willing to hit women, especially if it means a chance to win $100k.
 
I used Daft Logic's Area Calculator Tool and came up with 2.3km² (~568 acres) for the size of the arena.

Edit: The whole plot of land is listed at 1088 acres, but the constrained area is not the entire plot.

No the IP2 guys are actually insane. I havent followed their thread since before Null split the site into groups like 'Internet Famous' or whatever and even then it was mostly bored scrolling but havent they streamed like real, actionable rape on there, like getting some girl blackout, passed out fucked up then getting random people on stream to try and fuck them? They get the cops called on them on stream all the time, I think.

The girl Alice who apparently at one time was hanging out with Ethan Ralph and maybe had sex with him, was the Chicken Andy guys girlfriend for a while and they would get fucked up and hit each other all the time, if I remember the lore. I think they broke up after some particularly bad fight that they streamed where they were both high and one of them had a knife and was threatening the other. Last time I looked at that thread, she was streaming and playing with his gun she took from him or something.

When they said 2 hour drive, I was thinking it had to be someplace that far out, San Antonio is a 1 hour drive out of Austin alone. Houston is 3 about hrs, if youre going maybe 70-75.

Is anyone trying to do a decent multi-stream of the event? Flowstream is dead so it won't be them. With 50 people it will be almost impossible to watch the 1% of entertaining content amongst the 99% of 50 people streaming themselves cooking in the Texas heat.

So wait, there aren't any other cameras on Hunger Games? It's strictly only from the contestant's POV cameras?

Kind of sucks, on Fish Tank they had camera men that would walk around to where the action is, as well as stationary cameras in the woods. They also had drone cameras (though those kept breaking). I understand it's harder to do all of this here because there's much more land, but it still sucks there isn't at least live multicam thumbnails set up like Fish Tank, so you can switch between cameras easily.

edit: Damn, they just arrived and I have to go do errands, some kind kiwi please post anything notable going on here.

Came back after a few hours and they’re still on the tard bus, at least it looks like they’re getting kitted out with their pressure vests.

The vests they are required to wear and repower every so often require a multitool and 3 AA non-rechareable duracel batteries to swap. Everyone appears to be having difficulty using a screwdriver, some of them are so young that they don't understand what a battery is, and it took most of them 20+ minutes to figure it out.
