Idiot Journalist is Bad at Cuphead - Blames Video Game

The video shows it's a notch more difficult than your typical Mario game.

Mario dies in one hit, two if he has a power up, and three if he has a power up and a yoshi. Cuphead generously starts the player off with four hits, no strings attached, plus an infinite projectile attack, available to Mario only as a coveted power up that expires upon taking damage.

How many games actually come with a tutorial these days? They're not popular. But if it's necessary, that is a signal this is going to require some skill.

As for other comments on this thread, I wonder why they are hostile to someone who is viewing the game as a beginner?

Because anyone who's been playing video games for almost twenty years should be able to handle the first level of a Mario clone.

I finally found this comic, I've been looking for it for a while and it fits this situation, and the modern gaming journalism in general, perfectly:

It's bad when trying to explain yourself makes you look even more retarded.

Honestly not shocked this guy was thwarted by a jumping tutorial when these are the kinds of games he plays/reviews.

This explains a lot...

What is it with modern game reviewers and not being able to play the fucking game. It happened with Doom,it happened with Crash Bandicoot,it happened with Nioh, and it's happening with cup head,Jesus. It's like even if the game tells them what to do they still fail at everything

They want video games to be like their lives: everything given to them, no losing, no effort needed to get better, no confrontation, and troons blabbing about sex and their feels. This is why slobber all over walking sims, because you just have to push up a few times and instant gratification. It's also why they adore mobile games, because they can break out their dad's credit card and pay to win, just like how they view the real world.

Don't forget about that one IGN reviewer who sped through Pixeljunk shooter on easy mode and bitched about the ending, only to find out the true ending is only available on higher difficulty when a dev tweeted to him about it

This might actually be beyond DSP levels of suck. I think this might actually be worse than the Polygon DOOM video. I figured it might be fun to get some laughs out of this chucklefuck's abject failure. If all of that weren't bad enough, Dean Takahashi has been a games journalist for 18 years.

For those who don't know, Cuphead is a highly anticipated game that's coming out at the end of this month that features hand drawn animation that emulates cartoons from the 1930s in the style of Fleischer and Iwerks.

They changed the title of the video after the hellacious backlash. The original title was: "Cuphead demo at Gamescom: It isn't easy"

Here is the article this challenged individual wrote about the game.

ADDENDUM 1: Reddit is trying to erase this situation, expect saltstorm from moron GGers.

ADDENDUM 2: From Dean Takahashi in the comments section:
All those cows like Moviebob who say that there's nothing wrong with games journalism need to shut the fuck up and watch this.

"I've watched the comments on this thread just to see how mean they would be."

This is his opening shot.
18 years in the business and he's assimilated perfectly to modern game journo thinking. AKA fuck my pond scum gamer audience, literally animals.
